He moved back and let her sit up. "Did you like it...?"

She pushed her hair and looked around, realizing where she was. Her eyes flicked open full and she nailed him with a piercing glare. "What did you do?"

"N-nothing! I didn't do anything!" He almost fell backwards as he was speaking, for fear of being hit. "You fell asleep during the movie, so I brought you here! Thats it!"

She pushed herself away hastily, pulled her legs up cross-legged, and looked away, tucking her hair behind her ear. "W-well--it was nice--I'll admit that-- but I don't want a relationship--er--not that kind at least. Not with anyone. They're too complicated."

"Me neither. It's just..." He paused and bit his lip, blushing awkwardly. "It's just... you looked so beautiful..."

She looked back out of the corner of her eye. "Beauty is only skin-deep," she said flatly. "It's skin over tendons and muscles and blood and bone. I assure you, if you could see those, you wouldn't think it's beautiful at all. So--that's no excuse."

"I..." He climbed off the bed and walked away. "I'm sorry..." He shut the door behind him and within minutes, the sounds of him beating the ******** out of a punching bag could be heard.

She turned around, swung her legs off the bed and rubbed her wrists anxiously, listening to the noise. Saiya glanced out the window. The night was probably more than half-over--she would stay here tonight, she needed to sleep anyways--and head out in the morning. Preferably without Siat noticing. She pressed her hands against her face for a few minutes, trying to think straight. God, she hated these sorts of situations. Right. Head out to Leviathan Stadium, tomorrow, maybe train a bit--the notes would hold her up for a month, probably more if she wasn't wasteful.

He sighed and rubbed the towel over his face, the soft continuous sound of sand hitting the ground, pouring from the gaping tear in the punching bag. He kicked the pile in frustration, scattering sand everywhere in the small room. He growled under his breath and went to go watch TV.

Saiya sighed again, pulled off her shoes, and tugged the covers over her. Not that she needed them--her ancestors were there, the mass of shapes curling over and around her shoulders like a huge coverlet.

Sunstrike

Sunstrike held open the door, somewhere in downtown Latent, and waited for Enki to walk inside ahead of him.

It wasn't a place that was too fancy, a pub/inn of some kind, used as a local and tourist pitstop. But the drinks were good, and the chairs comfy.

He sat at one side of a table, practically sprawling along the cushy booth on one of the further portions of the room, and stared at his companion, still not having gotten over the way Enki had not changed.

*Enki grins widely as he notices the place Sunstrike is taking him too. Hennassey's Pub and Inn. Surprisingy, it was actually one of Enki's favourite places to come with his son when they just wanted to get away from the public for a while. Enki nods to Sun as he walks in and nods to the bartender and sits down on the opposite side of the booth as Sunstrike, mimicking Sunstrikes position. The bartneder soon walks up, setting a pint of black and tan and a plate of calimari in front of Enki, then looks at Sunstrike*

And fer you?

Sunstrike thought carefully.

"An orange...a glass of water, and two whiskeys, just shots." He said, grinning. He pulled his feet up and tucked his head on his knees as he looked curiously at what Enki had been brought. Obviously the other man had been here before.

"Did you find me on purpose, Enki? Or were you just wandering round the new place and found me?" His eye glowed happily as his order was placed in front of him and started to peel the orange, ignoring the rest for a moment.

*Enki smiles as he watches Sun peel the orange, picking up a peice of calimari and dipping it in ranch dressing before popping it in his mouth. Shortly after, he picks up his pint mug and takes a sip nefore setting it down and leaning over the table just a bit*

Actually... I had just returned to the main continent today... I have yet to go to Barton or Dürem or anywhere else. I just kind of showed up at the stadium. Honestly, I havn't even gone HOME yet. It was a very pleasent coincidence that I found you first

Sunstrike blushed again, before waving a hand. A sad sort of smile came over his features as he took a slice and broke it in half, slipping part into his mouth and debating while he chewed.

"I'm surprised you can say that, considering how I look now." The other half was dispatched much like the first, and he worked on the rest, seperating all the slices with strangely delicate hands, the callus' from his work and from his weapon hardly showing up, just as pale as the rest of his skin. Orange juice slipped over them only to be wiped against a napkin when he was done.

"I probably look ages old compared to that person that walked into your stadium a few years ago."
