With the new ramming rules, I tend to sprint my Land Raider into action, drop people off, and then send it off on dedicated tank hunting either with its lascannons or by having it just run things the ******** over.

xd See, I would do that, but I have the dumb luck of going against all infantry armies, skimmers (Why bother ramming when you can shoot them to the ground?), or Necrons with a Monolith. Since ramming a Monolith with a Land Raider is basically a game of lucky dice, I decide to shoot that, too, and tank shocking I tend to save for when I need it.
Granted, I rarely need it with a unit of Thousand Sons nearby... ninja

Oh, Thousand Sons...SO overpowered against MEQ armies. The cost helps to offset it, though. The sad thing is that now not even CSM have the "ridiculously badass save but slow moving kill everything dead" unit. ******** Imperial Marines, including an army list choice that's from an army containing no more than 2-300 MEN IN TOTAL.
Eurgh...
Oh well. I've whined about them enough. With the Holiday season picking up, I'm likely to be getting more work (I have a job where I get called in to help unload delivery trucks) which means...more models! Plague Marines and Bikes are at the top of my list.

The cost offsets it because each model is [several] points... Then you have the sorcerer who's [several more] points... Who requires a spell. So you're looking at a minimum of about 139 points if you go bare bones minimum. xD Which will do little than annoy.
That reminds me that I have to not only get a job to pay for this damn hobby that eats at my wallet, but it also reminds me to buy a bike to finally make my Biker Lord. And maybe a unit of Nurgle Bikers. Those things never cease to piss off my friends when I tested a unit to have that icon instead. ^^
You know, another good combo that most people (around here, mind you) stray away from is Kharne and about a max squad of Berzerkers. Costy and heavy in points, but oh so beautiful in combat. Sure, you use a few blood crazed men due to Kharne, but the 80+ attacks of the Berzerkers alone is worth it. Just throw in Kharne's Gorechild and you have love in the form of ever-flowing blood and an infinite amount of skulls.

Reminder: Don't list points costs.
As far as it goes, Nurgle Bikers are by and far worth their points. T6 Bikers? ******** yes, thank you kindly. I actually had a squad of them stand up to two Battlecannon shots that FAILED TO WOUND ANYTHING after hitting two bikes each time.

Ah, right. Sorry about that. >.- Well then, basically, yes, Thousand Sons are expensive as hell at minimum value.
Yes, and they were quite the nasty threat to my friend's Necrons, whose Gauss Flayers could only wound on a 6, which pretty much made their special effect useless. Not to mention they could rarely wound the bikes in combat! biggrin

I know what you mean. I plowed through a HUGE line of Orks using Nurgle Bikers the other day. What's that? You need 6s to wound? What's that? I have three attacks from five men and four power weapon attacks from their leader that hit before yours? Wait, what's that? I just caused 10 casualties and you only killed one?
In fact, Bikers are one of the few units that I'm really willing to give a mark without taking the actual Cult unit for that power. Making them T6 is enough to piss off anybody/everybody, especially in combat. Rarely do you go up against things that can easily kill T6 in CC that come in large enough numbers to avoid being shot down en route.

Ah yeah, that's gotta be a pain in the a** for an army so used to being able to decimate anything in close combat. Then again, the Thousand Sons tend to piss off my friend who plays the Tau, too. mrgreen Resilience is great for Chaos!

And I will say that much. This codex really made it able for CSM units to stay alive a hell of a lot longer. My favorite things include Marks of Tzeentch on Terminators, Marks of Nurgle on Bikers, Mark of Khorne on Raptors. If I give my lords any mark, it's Nurgle or Slaanesh. Making the lord tougher or making them able to attack before other HQs, or at the same time as Eldar HQs, is more than worthwhile. And the Blissgiver...*drools*...I've only taken death from pleasure once, and I've insta-killed more Marine HQs than I care to count.

Freedom the Wolf, if you happen to look over here:
Daemons are not just summoned from Chaos Sorceres. They can be summoned down to any unit that's carrying an Icon. HQs can carry Personal Icons and I believe that Aspiring Champions might be able to as well. If there are no icons on the board, the daemons cannot be summoned. If all of the of the Icons on the board are destroyed, the Daemons are treated as casualties.

We were alone and on our own, in the dark between the stars From the shadows to the pyre, amidst the chaos, from the stars Love, life and liberty, Hate, death and captivity Like a stain of starless darkness, across the canvas of space
Forward is always good, since that's how I play my bikers: Khorne Icon. biggrin I tend to think that the T5 is already enough to at least bother the troops some, so it's good for me.

Okay, for a completely different note, I need a little help in some decision making.
Tomorrow is my birthday. Birthday means I get money because I never know what the hell I want. This year, most of that money is being spent on Warhammer 40,000 stuff since Christmas will be more for the video games. And I might find a job by then anyways. neutral Might, considering the damn economy is tanking.
So, I know I have to buy at least two things.
A box of Thousand Sons A single bike so I can finally make my biker lord.
However, this leaves me open for probably another thing to buy. Anything, really. To give a little overview of my army real fast...
I use a Chaos Terminator Sorcerer as an HQ, Tzeentch, Familiar, spells to no end... Yeah. I also use a Daemon Prince, termed Fluffy because of his one wing and his Defiler arm that replaces the other lost wing and a lost arm. He usually uses a Mark of Tzeentch or Nurgle and normally has Winds of Chaos as a spell to use.
I always have a unit of Berzerkers, never below ten men strong. Commonly I field twelve, with no skull champion as I think 48 attacks on the charge is just fine enough unless I'm fighting against a horde army. THEN I'll throw in Hooftaker, with a power sword and a "club weapon", AKA a Tau head, hence the name. ^^ My unit of Chaos Space Marines is typically unmarked, at least until I can buy an Icon Bearer so that way I have another option if I field Daemons. They come in a Rhino so never go above ten men. Again, sometimes I field ten Daemons, sometimes I don't. All depends on how many points I have to play with.
I simply have three bikers with an Icon of Khorne and a power axe. This probably means that one of the things I'll hear is "MOAR BIKES" I don't deny that I love them. biggrin
I also have a Land Raider equipped with a Havoc Launcher and sometimes Daemonic Possession if I'm charging it forward, which means that it's loaded with my Berzerkers if they only have ten guys.
And that's my army in a nutshell. I could have probably put this is the army list stickied topic, but I'd rather just ask Chaos players since I need more capability to KILL. (.... Where the hell is my Domo emoticon?!?!?!)
To anyone that gives me a good suggestion, thank you. It will be noted and thought of. ^^ -- tl;dr) Tell me something to buy for my Chaos army.

I'll agree with the "MOAR BIKERS" thought. It's not necessary, though, and you could find some decent progress in another means. Pick up an Iconographer for those CSM for sure. That way at least you can mark them as Chaos Glory and let them re-roll failed Morale.

Hmmmmm. To be honest, I'd get some Chosen or a Defiler really. Simply because, Chosen can infiltrate, power weapons, Icon, Space marine stats, harsh, And Defiler because.... well, its a Defiler, what more of a reason do you need?
