TheMessiah
really? sorry to be an but even i myself didnt know about til a little bit ago

I haven't read on it in a while, but it's something along the lines that they believe they have the right to do what they want, when they want to further themselves. They've adapted satan as their symbol, not because they worship him, but because he rebeled against god, therefor doing what he wanted when he wanted, to further himself.

TheMessiah
i dont resist the good things.

im a tad bit of a satanist in that respect. indulgence of abstinence. but i put "with intelligence" after it. but no, i am not a satanist. not that any of you know what that is wink

Some would say it is the religion that is the ultimate rebellion towards God. (I would tend to agree...some of their rituals and beliefs are...vile) Like Yuri said, (paraphrasing) it is basically a religion that takes Satan to be their god or idol. Some pray to Satan, some practice various "pagan" acts, like the skinning of goats and the baptism of blood...and in a way...it is basically the belief that one can do what they want to do and rebel against any and everything. (those tend to be the more extremist)

you couldnt be more wrong. satanism is the belief that one can achieve greatness alone, satanists are atheists that follow a moral code. the term satan used to have a more positive meaning before the catholic church used it for their enemy. they dont skin goats or sacrifice goats. they swear fealty to no God at all.

Actually, very FEW pagan religions do animal sacrifices and the like. Most believe it's a mortal sin to harm any other living creatures. And they don't adopt satan as their god, it's their mascot. Totally different.

Awe, If I wasn't gay, I'd marry you too Messiah. heart

since i am extremly bored:

AFI- Silver and Cold

I... I came here by day, but I left here in darkness
And found you, found you on the way
And now, it is silver and silent, it is silver and cold
You, in somber resplendence, I hold

Your sins into me
Oh, my beautiful one
Your sins into me
As a rapturous voice escapes, I will tremble a prayer
And I'll beg for forgiveness
(Your sins into me) Your sins into me
Oh, my beautiful one

Light, like the flutter of wings, feel your hollow voice rushing into me
As you're longing to sing
So I... I will paint you in silver, I will wrap you in cold
I will lift up your voice as I sink

Your sins into me
Oh, my beautiful one, now
Your sins into me
As a rapturous voice escapes, I will tremble a prayer
And I'll beg for forgiveness
(Your sins into me) Your sins into me

Cold in life's throws, I'll fall asleep for you
Cold in life's throws, I only ask you turn away
Cold in life's throws, I'll fall asleep for you
Cold in life's throws, I only ask you turn
As they seep... into me, oh, my beautiful one, now

Your sins into me
Oh, my beautiful one
Your sins into me
As a rapturous voice escapes, I will tremble a prayer
And I'll beg for forgiveness
(Your sins into me)
Your sins into me... oh

Your sins into me
Oh, my beautiful one, now
Your sins into me
As a rapturous voice escapes, I will tremble a prayer
And I'll beg for forgiveness
(Your sins into me) Your sins into...
(Your sins into me) Your sins into me
Oh, my beautiful one

Satanism is different things to different people. Hence why I said "some would say" xp The research I did on it came up with the results I just posted.

Yuri>> Some people who claim the statis of "satanist" pay homage and pray to Satan and some do not. But you are right, not many "pagan" religions practice animal sacrifices (at least not anymore) but they are still around.

Teh awesome

I'd like to close my eyes and go numb
but there's a cold wind coming from
the top of the highest high-rise today.
It's not a breeze cause' it blows hard.
Yes and it wants me to discard the humanity I know,
watch the warmth blow away.

So don't let the world bring you down.
Not everyone here is that ******** up and cold.
Remember why you came and while you're alive
experience the warmth before you grow old.

So do you think I should adhere to that pressing new frontier?
And leave in my wake a trail of fear
Or should I hold my head up high
and throw a wrench in spokes by
leaving the air behind me clear

So don't let the world bring you down.
Not everyone here is that ******** up and cold.
Remember why you came and while you're alive
experience the warmth before you grow.

So don't let the world bring you down.
Not everyone here is that ******** up and cold.
Remember why you came and while you're alive
experience the warmth before you grow old.

Before you grow old.
Where did it go?

Ashram- Well, I suppose, I think it's strange the religion of Satanism keeps a name that causes such confusion as most do not. They're seperate religions, and I have no idea what people who actually worship Satan would be called.

To say it's different things to different people would be like someone saying "Christianity is different things to different people, there are some that worship Jesus, and some who worship trees. But they still call themselves Christian, so they are Christian."
