Ally_Os AKILLA When I was young, my parents would speak Italian sometimes around me and my grandmother would too. I guess I learned both languages fairly quickly, they did not exactly teach me but I just heard Italian around the house and got used to it. I could tell English apart pretty quick, there was something different about it then it is to Italian. Plus my family did speak both languages around me. I guess it just caught on; I now speak Italian and English, I speak Italian pretty fluently. I wish I knew ItalianIn college, I spent so much money on Italian tutors for two years and still just barely passed. And it wasn't as if the tutors were not worth anything. They were. Their other students passed with flying colors. I just have trouble with foreign languages (or many humanities for that matter). It isn't my thing. But then again biology and chemistry isn't the thing of others as well. So I guess it evens out.

I never picked up italian even though it was spoken around me my whole life (we lived with my Nonna for the first 2 years of my life and she speaks very little english)

My first language was sign language. Both my grandparents are deaf. I refused to 'talk' until I was around 5. Made kindergarten a little difficult.

Just got back from the ultrasound. It was awesome. Boo waved at us. We could see all of the tiny fingers. heart
From the ultrasound, the pregnancy dated at 13w2d with an EDD of 9/25. The baby had a heartbeat of 150 beats per minute.
We'll scan pics in ASAP. biggrin

I'm just doing the English thing with my son. It would have been cool if my dad had taught us Chinese, but I really respect my dad for not doing it.
TM, is that why you have a hard time spelling?
Ritz, I'm saying boy, for silly superstitious reasons and for fun!
