Tres Ecstuffuan Vintrict I can't really wrap my head around what happened. But I guess this tournament has different standards and rules. OOC was your worse enemy for this fight. Really it was mine as well. Had I not made a big fuss OOCly the way the first half of the fight would have been perceived would have been better. Though, even without the OOC by no means was the first half of that fight up to my standards on my part. Had you not made a big stink OOCly, I think the outcome would have been different. No, it wasn't about OOC. In fact, hardly any of the judges but zantara paid any attention to the OOC. Remember, Yummy and Hero are gone half the time busy with lives. They say they hardly look at the OOC. It was...something else.

Slash Zinrai Guess I'll be watching that movie today, then. I got halfway through it last week with my girlfriend, then the disc froze. Good thing I have two copies for some reason.

Sunsworn Do you have to request the judgement to see it? I don't exactly agree with Spiritus about me not winning, but I'm also interested in the thoughts behind the ruling. Yes I already request as soon as I get it I will send you a copy. I am curious as too what you thought? First off your guy is strong, hell of a build. Simple yet thought thru not too many people do shield and sword with full plate then counter the armor weight with a spell like you did. As for the battle itself it was an up hill fight for me for sure but I thought I controlled the pace very well. Every attack I made was a counter attack, luring you in to try and find an opening in your defense. Perhaps that is what ******** me over, maybe I should have attacked more, gone on the offensive?

They say they hardly look at the OOC. It was...something else. I read your fight. On paper, I feel you won the fight. Based on what ended up happening ICly (the Rock lee Drop did not happen Icly) and the fact that the opponent stopped posting after not listening to the judge call, I don't understand how you could have lost that fight other than OOC.

I wouldn't be concerned about it if it was a full fledged fight. Maybe with five more posts to get some length into it. But we were graded on something that hardly happened, and then none of Outlaw's moves seemed wrong to anyone but zantara.
I rose my expectations too high for how to fight here. And rules were seemingly ignored.

I liked how the scores got incrementally higher (by like 3 points per) with each successive judge. Start off 8 v 10, finish out 13 v 16. Consistency much?

It does make me feel all the more why I changed to a winner majority vote system for GTB, not like that would have made a difference here.

Sama's Psionic kit is pure power but Alexander's is much more utility based to surpass defenses and strike true with the Katana.

In addition, Yummy or Hero never spoke about the meta trouble with the fight (Outlaw hardly posting, doing many actions in the fight at once, etc.)
You know the crossed out post Outlaw did when I reacted to his five thousand moves in one maneuver? Apparently, Hero had told him a different ruling than zantara's, that all Outlaw's moves were legit. I was never notified of this. So I PM'd Hero, and then he told me he never got the chance to tell me that he said that to Outlaw. Which is strange, cause if you make a ruling, you tell both fighters and at least post something somewhere, even if it's just the fight thread.
So not only was there a clash of judge rulings, but a lack of communication from the relevant people.

Vintrict It does make me feel all the more why I changed to a winner majority vote system for GTB That I'll agree with. "You scored 50%, you scored 40%. Both of you fail." and then the next judge goes "You did okay, 60%. Wow you roflstomped that guy, 90%!" Suddenly it's 110 vs 130.

I honestly wouldn't bother with a point system when there are no clear rules in this thing and three of the categories pretty much cover the same criteria.
Plus it's confusing. One judge give me a perfect score. I don't think I deserved it but yea...perfect.
