"Good point." Mala said, finally smiling once more.

"Besides, I doubt you could really quit me until the gods' power was stable again."

Mala bit her lip. She knew she couldn't, and obviously Van did too. "You..you have a point there."

"I may be a little weaker now, but I've still got some power left in me. Believe me, if it gets worse, I promise you'll be the first to know." Van said before giving her a reassuring kiss.

Mala calmed down a bit after the kiss, lifting up her free arm to gently caress his cheek as they locked lips.

Aurita stalked from the bushes, whether the beginning or ending of the forest where she had been staying on the mountain side, as she traveled to wherever her feet takes her. It had been fifteen years since she started on a worthless journey that she allowed her feet to take her to wherever it did. She never stayed in one place for too long and she never held onto anything. Deep inside she could only feel emptiness. With her hood covering most of her face, she was able to get onto what seemed like a path that led farther into the forest. As she continued on her way, she started to hear little voices here and there. Stretching out the shadows, she was able to confirm that there were a couple of people up ahead where her feet was taking her. Instead of taking a roundabout to avoid them, she kept walking down the path; why would she have to take a roundabout to avoid them, when it's her feet that are taking her down this path.
As she got closer and closer to them, she walked on as though blind, deaf and mute, unfazed that they were there; at the same time knowing exactly their movements. Two of them were lip locked together, that sent a cold sweat of slight disgust down her back. Immediately as she had just begun to pass them a little bit, she notice the shift of flow in her body. Suddenly out of nowhere icicles formed from blood ripped out from her arm, sending immense pain in her left arm and blood trickling down to her fingertips. She didn't make much of a noise but a soft flinched as the pain erupted out of nowhere. She brought her right hand over to her left shoulder caressing it as though it was an ordinary pain with a rub rub would make it go away.

Van pulled away suddenly with a serious look on his face as he looked into the surrounding wilderness. "....There's someone here with us..." he said. At least that sixth sense of the gods hadn't abandoned him just yet.

{It's fine, I don't mind. XD}
"Let's hope they're friendly - for once." Mala couldn't help but comment, her eyes glancing around as she searched for any sign of the unknown traveler.

'They're onto you,' The shadows whispered to her.
In that moment, if only her mind was clear enough would she had willed herself to teleport to another place, anywhere was fine but here in front of others. The pain was so immense, that she was constantly distracted by it and didn't have enough concentration to even think about teleporting out of here. Instead, the pain brought her down to one knee, making a noticeable sound, while she bit the bottom of her lip holding back a cry that will never be there. The flesh, muscles, cells, and tissues of her left arm was suffering from frostbites and severe ice burns that could not be put to words.

"Who's there?" Van demanded as he got to his feet, on guard should their visitor be yet another attacker out for his head.

She heard a male voice speaking to her, but she could hardly concentrate on who exactly it was. Slowly, she willed herself for what she was going to do next as she brought her right hand and put her hand at the very tip of the blood icicle. She pushed her hand against the icicle, by now her blood was most definitely in the air. Taking deep slow breaths, as she continued pushing her hand against the tip of the icicle, still nothing happened. Taking a deep breath, she held it as she moved her hand from the tip and placed it around at the very bottom where it touched her skin as she grabbed it and snapped the icicle.
She grunted loudly, biting through the skin at her lip as blood trickles down her lips. Once the blood icicle snapped, the icing in her arm ceased and slowly it retreated. As soon as the blood ice were gone and her skin was exposed to the air, it burned but did not hurt as bad as it was. As she let go of her bottom lip, she was breathing heavily. Now she was able to concentrate even the slightest on who it was that spoke to her.
'It's Van, the God of thievery,' the shadows informed her.
God or not God, she wasn't going to answer him.

"If you don't wanna hurt us, then we're not going to hurt you, so why don't you just come on out of hiding...." Van said slowly heading toward their visitor.

Even with the pain slowly fading away, she swiftly shifted around as now, if she were to look up, would be facing this god of thievery the shadows told her.
'There's nothing to be scared of, it's just the god of thievery, what good on you do you have that he would want to steal from you?' a voice in the back of her mind spoke.
"Shut up," she breathed, her voice a mere, yet soft whisper. She kept her gaze on the ground, as she begun to get a healed feeling from her left arm. The blood on her fingers vanished as soon as the multiple wounds on her left arm healed up completely. Once healed, she stood up on her two feet, as she shifted her gaze to look at this god of thievery with the hood of her cape still covering the light from shining on her face.

Van was surprised to find their mysterious visitor was a strange girl, and a wounded one at that--or so he thought. "Are you alright? For a second there that arm didn't seem too good."

Aurita took a deep breath, absolutely having calmed down her heavy breathing as she whispered, "It's none of your business." She turned around as if to make a move of leaving the god standing there confused and lost for the moment. She didn't care if he was a god or not, she didn't care for any god at all. If there was a god out there, she wouldn't be like this, she wouldn't be punished, a past without memories, powers without control, living without a home.
