[[Louis : Caribbean Sea : Black Pearl]]

[[Cue: Shadowlord's Castle ~ Memories and Roar]]

Louis stared up at the roof with eyes empty aside from the darkness in the one. They were blank, emotionless. His body was awake but his consciousness wasn't there. The laughter wasn't there, the sadness wasn't there, the self loathing and self pity, just an empty shell staring endlessly forward past Kyle as if trying to see something beyond the roof.

No! No! No! No! You can't do this! I can't have all I've planned be undone by a stupid machine! Pull yourself together! I will not allow you do break down here!

This is your fault. If not for your tampering, he might still be whole. You have no one to blame but yourself Mateus.

You! You had something to do with this, I'm sure of it! You're always working to foil my plans! Trying to interfere in his dreams.

What would give you that idea? Besides, whatever he's done in our absence has been purely of his own volition. Void of your interference.

You stupid witch! You care about him don't you? Do something!

There's nothing I can do. I'm as disappointed in this outcome as you...

The boards of the floor and walls creaked as if being stressed by some force. The door to the space suddenly slammed shut, and would not budge if one tried. The lantern giving the only light to the room now flickered stubbornly against the unseen force. Louis' body stirred, darkness spreading over him like ink spilled on clean white paper. Kyle would see it seeping through his clothes like bleeding only more sinister and unnatural. His good eye blotched over like veins bursting beneath the surface, only pitch black taking hold and a light glow emanating from some far off place in the back on his mind.

Louis mouthed in the air, speaking in words only he could even understand without the aid of sound as, "My Fault..."

We need to stop this! At this rate he'll- I can't let that happen. Not with Ultima so close!

[Quistis :: Caribbean Sea :: Below Deck on the Pearl]

Quistis had remained quiet during the whole ordeal, the blonde man getting his eye ravaged by the girl's kiss. She watched the man across from them get brutally tortured. She even saw the group nearly fall apart as one of their members grab the guy she was with at the gallows and attempt to knock some sense into him.

Then a mysterious woman appeared. Offering them freedom. A dark portal opened up, opened up to somewhere. Should she step in? Avoid it? Await an unknown, but not looking good, fate? She decided to go for broke. She moved into the portal, appearing on...another ship. But Quistis felt safer than she did on the ship. She found a place to sit down away from everyone and closed her eyes. She still wasn't sure about everything she had seen, but she decided staying with this group was waaaay better than sitting in a jail cell on a ship.

[ Kyle : Caribbean : Pearl's Lower Decks ]

Kyle immediately felt a chill run down his back as the door behind him closed, causing him to jump lightly and face the door. He could feel it... something dreadful-

.:I finally get reception and you're in a den of darkness. Wonderful.:.

The voice in his head made Kyle jump again, but he didn't have long- he turned to face Louis again, watching in the dim lighting as Darkness began to grow out of his very flesh, staining his clothes with its taint. Kyle's mind raced to figure out the problem- what could it be?

Louis has powers using Darkness. With the Negator, those powers were repressed- he got more imbalanced as the Negator remained, and now that we're out, Darkness is pouring out of him...

What if he can use Darkness for magic because he's a natural conduit? With the Negator repressing it, it built up, poisoning him...

We need to get it out as soon as possible.

He didn't even think of calling for help; such thoughts rarely crossed his stubborn mind. Kyle looked at his hands, almost uncertain for a moment, before he narrowed his eyes- suddenly, his lower arms were enveloped in golden light, as if he'd never forgotten how.

I doubt I can reach his heart, but the body... I should be able to purge the body.

Without hesitation, Kyle placed his hands firmly on Louis' chest, the manifested Darkness sticking to his hands like oil... only to evaporate on contact, negated by the Light.

"This might hurt," he muttered, unsure if Louis could even hear him; he then focused on placing his Light energy into Louis' body, trying to fill his veins with it, trying to push out whatever Darkness was backed up. At least, that was his assumption.

.:So, haven't missed much, I guess?:.

[[Louis : Caribbean Sea : Black Pearl]]

[[Cont. Shadowlord's Castle ~ Memories and Roar]]

How can one be surrounded by others,
but still feel loneliness?
Locked inside a heart soaked in darkness,
the light of another breaks through,
breathing life back into a frozen,
deserted soul.

Don't tell me you can't do anything! Get into his head. He's more receptive to you. He'll open up. Find out what he's remembered so I-

So you can what? Corrupt it again and twist his good nature into the killer you want him to be? I don't think so. Besides, his mind is like a fortress now.

Then I'll just force my way in like before! I'll take over and then he won't have a choice in the matter. A broken vessel is better than no vessel at all.

No! If you do that you could break him all together. If his heart breaks there will be nothing left.

What do you know? I have to try! I will not let this weak hearted fool rui-

Hold on! Something's happening!

Kyle's hands touched Louis' chest, the moment of contact sending a pulse through the room, flickering the lantern once more threatening to put it out for good, but it stays firm. Shadows danced across the walls as vibrations quickly grew into earthquake force movements in the supports to the space. In the depths of Louis' sub-conscious where the two specters held their ground they could see the piercing light breaking through the surface.

What is that? What is that light?

This, Mateus, is a miracle.

Louis' eyes seemed to whiten slightly, his body gaining back some of it's paler colors that were for a moment becoming a dark grey, near pitch black, like the depths of hell. The boy took in a deep breath as though a moment before he'd been physically drowning.

I don't understand. He was almost gone. How can he be pulling together like this? I know his heart, it's too weak for this.

This isn't his heart anymore.

How can this not be his heart? You're not making sense.

It's his own, and another's... another's strengthened by years of others sharing their own. Something you initially took away.

You're not making sense!

Give it up Mateus. A being of pure darkness like yourself will never understand. This light is beyond your comprehension.

The darkness in and around Louis seemed to fight back and press against the light, pushing it back until it remained as a solitary ball that hovered over his chest. It pushed back against Kyle with all its might then slowly gave way and fell back into Louis' chest. As the last fabric of space fell from between Kyle's hands and his chest a burst of light and darkness perforated the room and slid through the walls like they were never there.

When the wind kicked up in the small room died, and Louis' hair drifted to rest on his forehead, The Arcanist blinked suddenly becoming aware of his surroundings once again. He looked at Kyle, then around the dim room before asking nervously, "K-Kyle? What's wrong? Where... where are we?"

[ Kyle : Caribbean : Pearl's Lower Decks ]

It's... working?

Kyle remained focused, keeping his pressure on Louis' chest as much as he could, despite the Darkness fighting back. It focused against him, coagulated, tried to over-come him, only to sink away from Kyle's determination. Suddenly, the flash blinded Kyle, though he refused to back off, refused to give up...

... only to have Louis look up at him awkwardly, asking what was going on.

Kyle leaned back and fell onto his rear, dismissing his Light. He felts drained, not so much magically as physically- he had essentially been 'healing' Louis, which took a bit of his own life force in the process. He seemed unfazed, though, so Louis wouldn't have been able to tell.

"Yooooou," he began, dragging the word out for a bit before sighing. "Well, we're back on the Pearl, Celia just 'helped' us escape, but once we got out of the Negator's range, you pretty much passed out- Darkness began seeping out of you... guessing from a build up or something."

"I don't honestly know what happened, but that's the best I could come up with," he explained, chuckling as he got up to his feet before offering Louis a hand. "How do you feel? Better, I hope."

[Anthony ~.~ Caribbean Sea ~.~ Brig of the Pearl]

Before Anthony had a chance to explain to Dawn why he carried her through the portal, Joe, amidst his pain, took the words right out of his mouth. "Exactly," the warrior-knight said immediately after Joe, stepping back and allowing Louis to walk passed them. "I don't feel comfortable leaving him behind either, but without our abilities or weapons it would be pointless to stay behind... We'd just make things worse." He paused as he watched Kyle leave the room in the same direction Louis had walked off to. "And like Joe said, we still have time to save him. I doubt that was the last we've seen of the Replicas. We'll get Jam--"

The man stopped in the middle of his sentence as he heard unnatural creaking coming from the direction Louis and Kyle had gone. "Did you hear that?" Anthony asked, moving towards the sound without waiting for a response. Once he neared the source of the sound, the door to the room suddenly slammed shut right before him. "Kyle? Louis?" he said, as he knocked on and tried to open the door with no luck. "Guys? Is everything alright in there?" No matter how hard he pushed, the door did not budge. He even resorted to slamming his shoulder into the door in hopes of knocking it down. It was as if something on the other side was holding the door shut.

Suddenly, light shone through the crevasses of the door before it began to shake. For a moment, Anthony stopped trying to open the door and took a step back, confused as to what was happening on the other side. Once the light had faded and the door had stopped shaking, the warrior-knight resumed slamming his shoulder into the door. Half-expecting it to not budge, the man slammed his shoulder at full force into the door, causing it to break off its hinges and fall to the floor, followed by Anthony who had lost his balance at the sudden change.

From where he laid, the warrior-knight looked up at the two before him, fanning away whatever dust had lifted off the floor. He pushed himself up, coughing and dusting off his clothes, then picked up the door and leaned it against the wall before cautiously walking backwards away from it, hands out and ready to catch the door in case it fell. Anthony then turned to face Kyle and Louis. "Erm... Sorry about that," he said, laughing a bit at the end. "I heard some noises coming from in here and before I had a chance to come in and investigate, the door slammed shut on its own and I couldn't open it. Is everything alright?"

{Davy Jones : Caribbean Sea : Dutchman's Deck}

Davy Jones' claw seemed to clench tighter as he watched the Pearl gain distance on them. He hadn't needed Ajora to point out the obvious to him. The fact that he was the one who raised the Black Pearl from the deep was the reason he had a debt to settle with Jack. Who now had yet again escaped from his clutches. His clawed hand opened wide again as he turned to Ajora, the claw held up right at his throat.

"You! How did this happen!? You all took precautions to insure they would not escape!" He bellowed, the tentacles on his face writhing, he wanted to kill the replica now. "Useless you say!? The deal was that Sparrow would be mine!"

He pulled his claw away from the Fallen Saint and turned his attention back towards the Pearl.

"Call forth the Kraken! We'll sink them all!"

Jacob ll Crow's Nest ll Pearl

Jacob let out a deep, rumbling yawp from the crow's nest. He felt energy coursing once again through him. In a flash his black dagger pouches were once again against his side. He slid his hand in and with a soft clink felt the silverwings dance in his hands. He grinned. Defiantly, he threw dagger after dagger at the quickly diminishing boats in the distance. In time, he slowed and stopped, panting slightly.

"Never again. Never again. Your debts are paid Jacob. You're paid off. You don't know them. They're nothing like you. Joe...Kyle maybe. But nobody else. They just don't understand how to live. How to die. It's all a ruse. Don't get trapped." He whispered to himself. "Don't ever put yourself in a place like that." His eyes were tearing up. "Never again." He sat down and curled up against the cold wooden. He was suddenly very afraid, like everything hit him all at once, and the floodgates had to open. He stayed up there, weeping for a moment. "Never again."

Never again. Just run. Just fight. Never a caged animal.

His eyes glinted like two sparkling dress spheres. He sat bolt upright. He was going insane. He heard an unfamiliar voice in his head. Not the voices he had invented and named, his conscience, his dialectic. No. This was new and...

Hello.

Jacob yelped slightly when it spoke again inside his head. "Wha--What are you doing in my head?"

Waiting. Watching. Why did you do so many stupid things? You should have just left that fight with the nobodies. See what happens? I can't help you when you're that idiotic.

Jacob smiled. He was still rather creeped out about the voice in his head, It was a deep, alluring voice. Slightly raspy, but Jacob found it pleasing. When his dress sphere reactivated, his hands and skin were cleansed. He wiped the tears from his eyes and grinned. "Sometimes I get sad...So what ARE you then, oh alluring voice in my head?" He told himself.

A moomba. Awe-some. Fast. Take your pic.

Jacob grinned again. His cheeks were still rather red, but Jacob was content with his moomba answer. He didn't know much about them. His friends Collin and Chris talked about them a few times way back in the day...before this mess. They sounded pretty cool at least. He sorta hoped it wouldn't be another thing yelling at him.

[Cory .:. Hawaii .:. Side of the Volcano]

The ronin rushed quickly towards the ground, standing on a Shadow Heartless as though it were a surfboard as he slid down the side of the volcano. Wyvern and Gargoyle Heartless flew in beside the rogue, his Revblade in hand as he grinned at the creatures. "It never ends!"

A wyvern rushed in at Cory, attempting to knock him from his Heartless board only to meet a Resolved fist. The Heartless was sent sprawling onto the side of the volcano, quickly losing speed and falling behind the group. More of the Gargoyles and Wyvern rushed in, each time being sent back by a punch of kick that caused it to fall behind the rest of the group. "Come on, you little shits can do better than that!" A crescent suddenly launched itself from Cory's position as he threw an Engine Force at the Heartless, striking down a few before he let out a barrage of the attacks. In a manner of seconds, the Heartless around him were decimated, leaving only the rogue and his single Shadow-board.

He was quickly nearing the foot of the other side of the volcano with not another Heartless in sight. The rogue dismissed his Revblade, standing as at ease as one can when riding a small creature down the side of a volcano. Cory let out a sigh before saying aloud, "Man, these things never give up... Kind of makes me miss whenever things didn't randomly pop out of nowhere and attack me..."

Something suddenly caught the ronin's attention as a dark scent drifted into his nose, causing him to resummon the Revblade and fall into a fighting stance again. "I guess I should just keep my mouth shut next time, huh?" From behind the treeline at the bottom of the volcano arose a massive black Heartless, its antennae more than enough information for Cory to identify it as a grossly oversized NeoShadow. What the hell has this thing been eating? Elephants?

"b***h, get out of my way!"

The rogue resolved his legs before kicking off of the Shadow, the force destroying what little health it had left as Cory rocketed off the side of the volcano, heading straight for the NeoShadow. Black and blue flames enveloped his free hand as he used Indomitable Resolve, clenching his hand into a fist as he came closer and closer to the NeoShadow's face. The speed at which he soared was too much for the large beast to handle, and before it could even reach up Cory was upon it.

"FALCON... PAUNCH!"

Cory punched the Heartless in the face with all his might, the added force of his flight adding even more bite as the blue and black fire burst out all around the point of impact. The rogue followed all the way through with the punch, knocking the large Heartless backwards as he fell and landed on the ground. Cory rolled at first, attempt to get rid of what little momentum he had left before stopping with a slide on one knee. He looked up in time to see the NeoShadow fall down, though it was far from defeated. Cory simply got the upper hand by being faster and getting a decently powerful hit in right off the bat. As he fell into stance, Will gathered around the Revblade, its color burning a bright cyan as he charged Cataclysmic energy in the weapon. "I'm too fast for ya, ya big lummox!"

Cory exploded forward, his legs Resolved again as he closed the distance between himself and the NeoShadow, a Cataclysm attack still charging in the Revblade. The large Heartless still hadn't had enough to get up and recover from Cory's initial attack, its primitive instincts having trouble catching up with Cory's speed and strength. Before it could even properly position itself to get up, the rogue jump up above it and brought back his Revblade, the energy done collection as a grin came across his face.

"Ruination!"

Cory swung the Revblade and launched the massive wave of force at the Heartless, pinning it momentarily back to the ground as the force of the attack afforded Cory a "second jump". The rogue was bumped back up into the air by the attack, putting him in one of his favorite offensive positions. Right above the enemy.

"Engine Force!"

Swing after swing, Cory unleashed a torrent of crescent shockwaves down at the ground, each one slowing his descent and affording him more time to throw more at the target. And with such a big target, not a single force was wasted as they all rained down on the NeoShadow. What Cory wasn't expecting, though, was the massive ball of red and black darkness that tore through his attacks and exploded on contact with him. The force sent the rogue flying off to the side, landing in a smoldering heap a few yards away from the now rising NeoShadow. Even with his resistance to Darkness, Cory's magic resistance was arguably the worst among all the Earthlings. The attack hurt.

The rogue struggled up to one knee, looking up in time to see the NeoShadow bring its fist back for a strike. Cory sighed, almost like he was disappointed in how the fight had turned out. He got up to his feet, a bit shaky at first as he gripped the Revblade in both hands. the fist came rushing down at the ronin as the Revblade went up, its edge lined with darkness and Will as the two attacks collided. A rush of air exploded from the two as both attacks stopped on one another, the Heartless and the rogue caught in a deadlock.

Cory's feet started to sink into the ground from the force of the NeoShadow's attack, the fortitude of the earth below him giving out sooner than he would. The ronin watched as the Heartless brought back its other fist to strike, knowing that if he didn't move he'd be hit and that if he brought down his guard he would be hit. His mind raced as the NeoShadow's left fist came rushing at him, coming to a solution just before impact.

The Revblade roared as Cory revved its engine, the vibrations allowing for more power behind the edged weapon as the rogue sliced through the Heartless' fist and rushed up the arm. The weapon continued its loud revs as Cory quickly closed the distance between himself and the NeoShadows face, its edge still lined with black, blue, and indigo flames. "Game over, loser!" Cory ran straight through the Heartless' face, the Revblade singing as he delivered the final blow to the NeoShadow and landed with a slide on the ground. He turned around just in time to watch the creature fade away into darkness, dismissing the Revblade as he fell onto his backside. He couldn't help but breathe heavily after the fight, the whole thing exhausting him after fighting off the Infernal Engine, Unversed, and a couple dozen Heartless.

"Man... I need a vacation..."

[ Ajora : Caribbean : The Dutchman ]

Ajora's eyes flashed dangerously at Davy Jones as the man threatened his neck, remaining silent. How, indeed?

"Sure, send the Kraken- if you want them to kill it," Ajora said, eyes returning to the horizon as the Pearl took off. His tone was blunt, almost apathetic as he spoke. "Unless we can catch up with the Negator, they'll just kill it with magic before it can do any significant damage."

[Joe: Caribbean Sea: Pearl's Brig]

The male wheezed as the ship moved. Why did it feel like the sickness was fading ever so slightly? The fighter's head swam slightly as he tried to stand, letting go of Dawn and bracing himself against the wall of the ship. He could stand, that was goo-BARF! Okay, not so good.

Having gotten sick again, the male tumbled over with a rock of the ship, and thankfully not onto his own vomit pile. However, when his hand went up to his head to protect it from the ship's floor, he felt the fabric of something, and taking it off, realized his dress sphere had grown for him a black eye patch. It was...interesting. But that meant his magic was back...right?

OH MY GOD YOU ARE SUCH AN IDIOT WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT AND GET YOURSELF MAIMED LIKE THAT AND ohgodI'mnothelping. Joe winced, his hands clutching his head as Sylph's yelling seemed to make his skull crack before she lowered their voice and then became silent, only the faint sound of what Joe assumed sounded like butterfly wings flapping in his head as his wind turned internal to attempt to force the poison out of his system.

[[Louis : Caribbean Sea : Black Pearl]]

[[Cue: Ashes of Dreams ~ Aratanaru]]

Louis blinked a few times, speechless before finally nodding in reply, "I feel fine..." Louis examined himself as he sat up, wincing suddenly while running his hand over his shirt. The spot on his chest underneath felt burned but aside from that his aches and pains were minimal. Louis shook his head, finally looking to Anthony as he fell in. He chuckled nervously as he answered back, "Yeah... everything's alright... I think."

He looked at Kyle quizzical, slightly pained expression and asked, scratching the back of his head, "What exactly... do you mean by 'back' on the Pearl, exactly? Did... we leave?"

{Davy Jones : Caribbean Sea : Dutchman's Deck}

Davy Jones' tentacles writhed even more in his anger as he considered what Ajora said regarding the Kraken and turned his attention to his crew. The kraken had succeeded the last time they had met... but the replica was correct. Their magic was a big factor to take into account.

"Belay that!" He bellowed, his attention then turning back to Ajora. "So then, what do you suggest? That we abandon the pursuit for now?"

The Dutchman's Captain hated the idea of breaking off the pursuit, not when he had had Jack Sparrow within his brig. For now though, he saw no other choice.

"Accompany me to the brig! I will find out how they escaped, despite your precautions!" He yelled at Ajora as he made his way down the stairs heading toward the cells where the prisoners had just escaped from.

Bard of Lore
{Kyle : Angel Grove: City Streets}

Walking over to Bobbie, he held out his hand for a handshake. "Hello. I'm Kyle. Nice to meet you." In his relatively exhausted state, that was the best he could manage.
*makes note of someone else to teach how to spell her name ^o^*

{Bobbi, Demyx .:. Angel Grove .:. City}

"You too. I'm Bobbi," the Archer said, taking Kyle's hand in a brief handshake. She wasn't the kind of person to offer a bone-crushing grip, but she still tried to make the handshake firm, not the wimpy little "I offer you the honor of touching my hand, mortal" kind of handshake she got from other women. She smiled a bit, too, before turning her attention back to the conversation at hand.

She was about to open her mouth to make a suggestion when another one of the kids in the group she didn't know approached, asking how she knew Kyla.

"I've been with the group since we all got here. We ran into Kyla in Agrabah. The main group split... yesterday, I think. Kyla came to this group, which is on a mission from Queen Minnie. I was on the mission King Mickey sent us on initially. Oh, crap, that reminds me, th--"

Right about then Kymy's Drive expired, and suddenly they were Kyla and Amy again. Bobbi started to rush to their side, but saw Kyla was still alright enough to stand, and was checking on her Drive partner. It took her a moment to realize that the three captives had taken the last GTFO train out of there.

"Sunnova--" the Archer growled, hands clenching into fists. "Too many things going on at once! Brain. Does. Not. Compute!"

Demyx let out a curse word he'd learned from one of the Earth kids when he noticed Axel open the corridor, and immediately flung himself after his former ally. Unfortunately, he had a bunch of kids and Seymour to dodge to get there, and arrived too late to catch a ride in the portal.

"Well, that sucks," he said nonchalantly, then shrugged as if it didn't matter and turned back to the group. "I vote you forget about splitting up and whatever else you pipsqueaks were talking about and all go after that chick that tried to blow us up. They probably went to the same place. I'll stay here and... uh... guard the uh... Something."

[ Ajora : Caribbean : The Dutchman ]

"I suggest we follow- I have the compass, after all-" he began, only to have Davy give even more commands, interrupting him and making his way down to the ship's brig. Rolling his eyes, he followed wordlessly.

Upon reaching the Brig, the found the cells almost just as they'd been left; locked, secure... but empty. Ajora gazed around, finding Celia and the Black Waltz staring ahead; the Waltz appeared still glaring at the cells, unmoving, while Celia appeared as if she'd tried to begin running forward, also unmoving.

"Hrm," grunted, walking forward, pressing a finger to Celia's forehead; nothing happened. He pushed harder, but still, nothing. "Stopped in time. Magical... someone we didn't program for must have shown up."
