"chris I love you, you are my brother, wethe ryou want to be or not. and yes I was an angel. I gave that up to be mortal, and to be loved." nick bowed to chris in respect then turned to leave him. walking back to the inn he walked into holly andhis newroom he saw her having a nightmare
"holly sweetie, holly babe? wake up my love." he said softly stroking her cheek.

Hollis groaned and rolled over, "Yes?" She said. She kept her eyes closed, but had a smile on her face.

" You were having a nightmare. are you okay?"

Hollis started to dose off, "Yes, I'm fi-...." She said, falling asleep in the middle of her sentence. She rolled back over and started snoring lightly.

nick smiled. he decided to go swimming, to cool off. he walked quietly from the room and out of the inn. he walked out to the lake. jumping in he swam around trying to cool off and clear his mind. something touched his foot. he jerked under water to see what it was, his eyes widened. he swam down and grabbed chris. pulling him to the land. he began trying to do cpr.
chris looked up to him, trembling. his wing had been shot.
as was his shoulder and chest. he held his shouldred shaking heavily
" n-ni-nick..." he managed
nick stared down at him
" no brother no don't die yet, I can get help, I can help you."
" n-no time.....I l-love you n..." he swallowed a gulp of blood.
" nick.....I w-wish...you the b-b-be." he let out a lung of air and his head fell to the side, blood began to drip from it.
nick's eyes widened
" no! chris!" he said shaking him.
a gun was cocked behind nicks head
" are you his brother?" a hoarsde voice asked.

Hollis rolled over, waking up. She went to find Nick. Not finding him in the inn she grabbed her vile filled with attack dust and her healing vile. She ran through the woods quietly, not disturbing anything. She tip toed up behind the guy, seeing the gun in his hand, her eyes widened. She threw the attack dust at him. He fell to the ground, limp.
"We have to go, quickly. I'll put Chris on my back, run next to me Nick. We only have a half hour before he gets up," She looked at the knife then quickly stabbed it into his leg, the blood flowing out. She put the healing powder over Chris as she pulled him onto her back and started running.

nick jerked up and ran after her
" holly chris is dead! he is gone!" he said cring blindly.

Hollis went pale. She reached back and felt his wrist, a slight pulse still pumping, "He's alive, only a little though, we need to get him back and give him to Alice." She said, tears forming in her eyes. She knew Alice could help. She started running faster.

nick ran into the inn and up to alice's room. he threw the door open startling jacklyn.
" What in god'sname?!?" alice crie dout picking her crying baby up.
" please alice! it's chris! someone attacked him!"
alice held her baby against her. rocking it. her eyes wide
" who was it? why would they attack an angel? "she asked worried they would come after jacklyn.

Hollis laid Chris on the floor, and gasped for air, tired from running. "I..think..they..wanted..something," Hollis said, breathing heavily. "He's still in the woods, unconscious," Hollis said, knowing there wasn't much time left. She walked over to the door and locked it, not wanting to endanger anyone.

nick flipped chris over and looked at him.
alice put jacklyn in her crib and sat down next to chris. sh ebegan to chant, her hands turning purple as the bullets began to come out of chris.
the man woke up.
" what the hell?!" he asked he got up and took his gun out. he began to run towards the inn. jumping up he landed in holly's window, crawling in. he hid in the closet next to the changing table.

Hollis turned to Nick, her face as pale as a ghost, "He's here. In our room. I can sense it." She said, her voice shaking.

nick pushed her out of the room and locked her out.
" go to alice's room." he said through the door
" come out.." he said turning.
" I am unarmed."
the closet door opened and a person dressed in full black stepped out.
" you are nick? correct?"
" yes, but no longer and angel...I have a family now." he said looking down.
the man pulled the gun up and shot twice at nick, one bullet lodging into his shoulder, and the other right into his lung.
nick fell and began coughing up blood.
the person pulled their mask off. a girls face was revealed.
nick's eyes opened wide
" wh-who are you?"
" I lost my wings for chris...and he left me. for you, for his brother, and now both of you are going to die." she said holding up the gun to his forhead.
nick pulled a steak knife out of his pocket and stabbed her in the thigh. he got up and unlocked the door. locking her in he ran to alice's room, dropping on the floor. blood pooling from his shoulder and lung.

Hollis saw Nick on the floor, she dropped to her knees, tears flowing from her eyes. "A-Aliceeeee, hurry, we don't have much time," She said, her voice was shaken. She rubbed Nick's cheek waiting for Alice, she was still pale, sick looking.
