"And what was that?" D said coldly the ground beneath the two of them went solid black and opened up. Ds eyes flashed white before going a deeper shade of crimson. He could feel the life being choked out of him, but it would take more than that to kill the son of Dracula. D could also feel the pull of power between the two, but Ivy couldnt control him like his father could no matter what vampiric power she had.

Falling into the void of shadows D turned the tables on Ivy in mid air. "You have no reason to destroy me Ivy." D stated as he wrenched free from her grasp. The shadow realm opened up as they fell through it. The two landed hard on the ground, several feet from Stormcrow keep and the village beneath it. No casualities and D didnt need to have anything destroyed when this was just between him and his sister.

Standing up D backed away form his sister only to take a fighting stance. "But im sick of your antics. So come and get me."

"What are you talking about?" D questioned outright. Had she gone entirely mad?! Years ago? "We didnt know one another years ago. I dont know what your going on about." D said sternly as he folded his arms over his chest.

"Please the only one that can block memories is me or dear old dad." The parasite snorted to Ivy. "She isnt acting right you know somethings up." The parasite whispered to D.

"You must be off your loop, woman. If your going to fight me then lets just get this over with." D stated as he resumed his fighting stance. He wasnt going to remeber anything unless that memory was triggered by a familiar smell or scene.

(hmm.. ill have to think on that. ill post when i have an idea))

"He was one Vampire i let go. But it was for his show of kindness. The girl actually did love him." D said gently as he softened up for a moment. "Such a genuine relationship like that i couldnt destroy. But that i remember..." D contemplated.

Had there been a time when he had come across a female who had attacked him? Well of course there had but a battle where the details seemed fuzzy? Or a battle before the war? Maybe with one of his Sensei's around? There was a good period of time when D had traveled the world learning martial arts and other such fighting techniques. Could there have been a female then that had confronted him?

"Everything since the war i remember..." D said to himself as he went deep into thought. "And almost everything up to it."

"Almost... there was that time in Russia, this was a few decades before the war. If i recall you were learning their style of fighting when civil war broke out. Well it wasnt really a civil war more of their government coming to crash down on the civilians." The parasite quipped in.

"What are you getting at?" D asked the Parasite.

"On the opposing side, if you dont remember. Was a frisky little female, you two had a pretty good battle before you got the upper hand." The parasite hinted too. "It was the first time you had struck down a female. Your father ended up blocking that one for you. After all of course he was there, just unbeknown to you. He couldnt stay away from battle, not after Hellsing had let him go." The parasite smirked. "I think her name was Val.. short for Valkyrie if i recall correctly. Strawberry blonde hair cut short, fair skin and a height that almost matched yours."

"Father would never erase his own memory." D hissed, as for his own he couldnt say. And he truly didnt know if his Father had forgotten this little tidbit of information on his own or whether he had done it to himself.

"What are you getting at Ivy? Your pissed that i bested you when we were young? Even if that did happen... it doesnt matter to me now. My memory may be a bit fuzzy but i do believe it was you who attacked me first. You cant blame me for defending myself." D stated to her with an icy tone.

"So you still have no reason to be acting the way you are. You cant blame me for what you've done." D said as he folded his arms over his chest. The girls familiar look did spark a memory in his mind, it was fuzzy at best but he did remember the fight between them, though the outcome was hazy in his mind.

D still didnt understand, even if Ivy was pissed at him for besting her, even if he had by chance taken it too far and left her for dead it wasnt his fault. She had attacked first? Hadnt she? D started contemplating, searching the fuzzy memory for details that would clue him in on who was at fualt and who wasnt.

As D was deep in thought, out of the corner of his eye he caught the flickering lights of StormCrow keep. Whent hey had gone out completely, at first it didnt register. His sisters diverison was keeping him from realizing what the lights going out at StormCrow Keep meant.

It wasnt until several moments later, and after Ivy had retorted, or not he hadnt been listening really. That the phenomenon kicked in. "Dag!" s**t! D thought as he spun towards the keep.

"Dammit Ivy!" D cursed at her before becoming enveloped in shadows. Disappearing from the area D reappeared in the dark corridors of StormCrow keep. His sister would be able to easily follow him here but he didnt care. He had bigger fish to fry, so to speak.

"Mazz?" D whispered as his blue eyes searched the darkness. The power was out and that only meant one thing, Legion would thaw, Gabriel would get out and Trevor as well, if Ds memory served him right. His only options were to find Mazzaker or Hector. "Hector?" D whispered again. "Mazzaker?"

The sting of cold, but light of fire- his sister was some piece of work. D was about to yell at her but the light did help him see a bit better. So he kept his mouth shut and started searching with Ivy tailing behind him.

The whole thing that didnt seem to register right away with him right away was the fact that he was without his sword and Scythe. He only had the daggers, stakes and other such things on his belt. He had even left his hat and cape in the library.

It wasnt until the cold started to get to him that he realixed he wasnt fully equiped. Without a word he started heading to the library where he had left his things.
