One of the definitions for an introverted person is a "Shy person."
Ana, I have moments where I become very outgoing as well. Especially around close friends. For the most part, if I'm around people I'm uncomfortable with, I'm very reserved and I keep to myself.
But the way you defined it was much more accurate.
"An extrovert is a person who feels energized by socializing and drained by solitude.
An introvert is a person who feels drained by socializing and energized by solitude."

When you had multiple interactions with people during the day (10 or more different people), how do you feel when you get home? Tired, or lively?
An introverted person would be tired. They may love socializing (I know I do.), but extended periods of socializing takes a toll.
An extroverted person would be lively. They may appreciate the alone time after a day of work, but they live for all that communication.
