Tears again flowed silently rolling down her cheeks. But this time it was not for herself but for Reeve. Looking up at him with a somber expression, she cupped his face in her hands. "That is terrible, to put you in the face of danger, in a place where you would be provoked .. so unfair." she said quietly, trying to smile but she could not manage it right now, knowing he was hurting just as she was. It almost felt like sharing her mind knowing that another was in such pain for their actions.

Feeling her hands on his face, he looked down at her. Once again Reeve saw her tears and tilted his head a bit as he wiped them away with his hand. "That is how life works. The lesson was to be able to keep my hwead in a place that was out to kill me. A battle lesson..." Battle. The one thing Reeve knew better than almost anything else, almost making him the thing he hated most.

With a kind smile, she pressed herself against him in a warm hug. "Such things I have yet to learn about. I do wish you had not needed to learn that way though."

Reeve tilted his head a bit. "I belive it was the only way to learn... but do you desire to learn the art of battle?" He hugged her, keeping her close. Not being able to see her, he looked up to the sky.

"It is necessary that I learn, my desire is irrelevant. Though this is one subject that I am slow with learning, I know not where to begin." she said quietly, clinging to him more. Enjoying the feeling of being hugged back, she wondered why it felt so different, so pleasing to hold and be held by him. Lifting her head to look at him again she smiled, pleased to see he was enjoying the view of the sky. Between the feelings of love and happiness, her clothes refused to stand still for even the slightest moment.

A large rock seems to grow out of the edge of the cliff, it has a smooth top that leans out over the edge almost like a diving board. Upon this rock sits a young girl, perhaps no more then 17. Her long dark hair flutters away from her face revealing soft amber eyes that looked out into the vast landscape below. Her feet dangle right over the edge, swinging and hitting nothing but air. She sat there for a long while, the evening sun making her a shadow against the sun, a shimmering outline of her body could be seen. Her pure white skirt blew to the side with the winds.

"Necessary... that you learn?" Reeve looked down at her, his smile somewhat smaller. "Is that really what you think? Perhaps the subject is hard because it does not... Something you were ment to do?" Despite the fact that battle was the easiest thing for Reeve, he never quite liked the idea of it. He knew that many people were not ment for battle; and Ziven did not strike him as someone who could actually kill on purpose.

"It is often as if I have several personalities in a way. Hmm, how do I explain?" she asked herself aloud. Gently she bit her lip, still looking up at Reeve, formulating a way to speak of this. "To one part of me, I have no desire to fight, believing that any matter can be resolved with logic. To another part of me, I feel it is necessary that I learn so that I may be prepared if the need arises. To a final part of me, it is instinct .. I must be able to protect those who I love." she said softly. As she finished she smiled a bit brighter, pleased with herself for finding the words to explain what was on her mind. After a moments pause, she tilted her head, thinking of more recent events. "And it has become my responsibility recently with the agreement I have with Seisuke-ona."

Reeve was silent for a moment as he considered what she said. It made sense... and yet... "I would like to test something, if I may..." He said as he put his hands behind him, gently grabbing and pulling away her hands. He released one of them right away, then brought the other to his lips and kissed it gently. Suddenly and without warning, he was about thirty feet away with a smile upon his face. "I want you to do whatever you can to hit me, either physically or magically. If you do, I will say nothing about the arrangement you have..." As he spoke his cane appeared in his hands. "And worry not, you will not be able to hurt me so easily."

Ziven blushed slightly with his action and request. Nervously, she reached a hand to the back of her neck and rubbed it for a moment, pondering his request. "If you insist .. I do not understand though." she said softly. After a moment, she decided to try the option that would use the least amount of energy on her behalf. Lifting her hand, she made a sweeping motion, as if to beckon him closer. This was a spell that would whichever object, or in this case person, that she was concentrating on to wherever she wanted it to, whether it be summoning it to herself or expelling it further away. She waited until he would be nearer to her, deciding that she should not move forward to him until last moment, hoping it would be sufficient. If he were unable to move fast or teleport, it would be very unlikely he could get away in time.

The girl sighs, curling up on the rock, enjoying the warmth of the sun. She lay with one arm under her head and her back arching. Her knees were bent slightly and her bare feet tangeled themselves together as she slowly feel asleep.

Reeve felt a small wave of power touch him before the spell actually started. Instantly he threw his cane into the ground and dug his heels in, making him almost locked in place. The speel pulled him, but he was was anchored where he stood, and was not about to go anywhere. Keeping a firm grip on the cane he spoke. "Nice try, keep this in mind though. Should you actually find yourself in battle, don't use this right away. It gives a person more momentum to charge you, which endagers you greatly..."

With a small pop, she was gone. Silence for a moment before several objects appeared from multiple directions, all hurtling toward Reeve from above and all sides. As this was all going on, she appeared directly behind him with her hand outstretched, trying to reach him again. A look of complete calm concentration on her face as she thought of other things to try.

Reeve pulled the cane out of the ground and began to smash, deflect or dodge the objects. His body moved fluidly, and he seemed almost gracefull as he moved about. As soon as she appeared behind him, he outstrched his hand. As soon as he did a huge gust of wind seemed to come out of nowhere, powerfull enough to launch men in full body-armor back.

Feeling the gust of wind, she felt as it nearly caused her to lose balance and took a step back before disappearing again with a small pop. A moment later she was on the top of a tree nearby, observing Reeve and pondering her options. "I do not want to hit you." she said simply, pondering her options further. It was then that she realized she was dressed all wrong to be moving like this. A shimmer of light passed over her and her clothes changed to pants and a button down shirt. Pondering a moment more, she again moved from her spot, reappearing in front of Reeve and cast a full-body bind spell on him. Immediately she moved toward him, her hand reaching for his cane before she again moved with a small pop behind him at the very last moment, coming at him from behind instead.
