Ophiuchus Dat Gai i think the only reason i like space marines so much is because i have never liked tratiors and the chaos was the first army i learned aboout cuz my friend collects them Oh, why are we traitors? be cause we don't worship a man who's completely immobile and useless? How can that lead anyone? It can't even speak. The taint of Chaos isn't that wrong. And, there are benefits to giving yourself to a God. Come, give in to the powers of Chaos. ohh and the emperoris imobile BECAUSE of the betrayal of those he trusted

He was TOLD of the betrayal of Horus, and he ignored that advice because of the manner in which it was discovered. The Emperor is responsible for the heresy, he could have easily destroyed Horus before the rising. Also, not ALL of those who join Chaos have been there since the heresy. Many new chapters and batallions fall each day, either in trade for gifts of the Gods, to help with a problem, and borrow power, or simply under the loyalty to a corrupted leader. Join Chaos.

Only from the light of Immortal Emperor will salvation be found. The Emperor may not usuall speak nor do nothing, but atleast HE doesn´t abandon his trusted and most loyal servants when theyr time comes, unlike the dark gods who gives everything and then takes everything away from his servants, just because THEY found someone better to fill YOUR spot.

Go for blood angels instead. I just re-read the Army of Death scenario and so now I'm geared up to go crazy. If I can convince the people at my local GW to let me use the rules in the next big game... Simply put, the Army of Death scenario (put together by Gav Thorpe whilst he was involved in writing up the blood angels codex) involves an entire Blood Angels army being consumed by the Black Rage at once, causing them to go into battle, without praying to the Emperor or Sanguinius or conducting rituals (gasp!), and tear the enemy up in an orgy of blood and hacky hacky. Got it all from here, with the stats and such. Field a Death Company army!

surprised That´s a insane idea. Althou it wouldn´t be quite effective if you follow the modern rules. neutral No wait, own units? That´s even more insane. @.@ I doubt anyone would allow you to use that rule/scenarion to play, exspecially veteranic players. sweatdrop

True, though a vehicle army would be able to counter them pretty easily. Blood Anglels are best agaisnt infantry. Still, I'll recount. -+1 attacks and +1 leadership for all units, +1 attack for characters -All units automatically pass leadership tests -Move towards enemy super fast. -All units benefit from the 'ignore pain' rule.
To explain the 'ignore pain' rule is simple. After a failed armor save, the unit rolls again. A 1,2,3 means it takes the wound as normal, though a 4, 5, or 6 means the unit ignores the wound completely. Death Company are notorious for charging into battle with a gaping hole where their stomach should be and proceeding to rip out their enemies hearts with their bare hands.
This is technically a proper scenario. It even has rules set out!

Ummm... I don't think the Emperor CAN 'abandon' his servants. What's he going to do? Move to another galaxy? Join chaos? Pull his own plug? Kinda hard to do any when you're incapable of any form of movement, let alone barely conscious.

In one sense though, he is an ideal, and the best he could do to abandon the Imperium would be to die. Even then, the Imperium would mourn, but the Imperium would seek savage veangance on the galaxy. So in truth, his presence affects us all even in his state.

As far as I know nobody who sees him is allowed to live.
