Will's cursed under his breath as he ran out to the Quidditch Pitch. He couldn't believe that he had overslept on the day of try-outs. No doubt Pru had already started try-outs. Hopefully the captain would still let him try-out. After the incident in the woods last year, his mother had been reluctant to let him keep playing Quidditch. It was only thanks to his step-father that he was even allowed to bring his broom with him.
Upon arriving at the pitch, Will noticed the forms sitting there, but no Pru. He quickly scanned the sky to see if he could spot her, but had no luck. She had to be around somewhere, right?

Pru called what amounted to a split second timeout, which gave her enough time to zip down from the goals to meet the third year she remembered being named Will on the ground. All of a sudden, the game above him came to a stop. The third year looked in time to see Pru flying toward him. She quickly took his form and told him to join the game.
As soon as the captain flew off, Will hopped on his broom and flew after her, stopping as he neared his position. He saw a bludger heading for Axel and chased after it, hoping to clear it from the chaser.

"Why is everything so confusing in this place?!" Jake asked plaintively as he hustled to the quidditch field he could finally see....with people already flying. "Awwww...."
"Less fussing, more moving!" Johnny said, tapping Jake's shoulder. "Tag! Last one there is a rotten egg!" he said, before taking off at a sprint.
Reaching the field, still lightly shoving and jostling each other playfully, the twins each grabbed a sign up sheet and quickly filled it in.

Pru had no sooner gotten back into position when two more latecomers showed up. Grumbling under her breath, she called another quick time out, and plunged into a spiraling dive to land very suddenly near the two first years, whom she quickly realized had to be identical twins. She definitely couldn't tell them apart. She took the forms from them and frowned. She'd just added another beater to the mix... better to put them both as chasers for right now. "Alright, Jake, Johnny... You two are gonna play as chasers; Jake I want you on the Red Team, Johnny, you on the Gold. Ask the other chasers already up there if you need any help." Tryouts were a bit more fast paced than last year, and she was trying her best to keep from getting overwhelmed, as the turn out kept increasing.... though she knew that was a good thing. She flew back up into the goals, calling time in again.

"O-okay!" Jake said, a bit startled. Still, he grabbed a school broom and pushed off. ....being on a different team from Johnny was going to be weird even if it was for tryouts.

spaceJazzy had winced horribly when she realized how hard she'd hit Gid. She hadn't meant to! Or, well, she had, but not that hard, dammit! She was honestly a little annoyed at herself. And annoyed at herself for being annoyed, since she was on a different team and therefore expected to hit him. She just hoped there weren't any hard feelings... Well, Gid was smart enough to know that it was all part of the game. She hoped. The second year sighed, watching the chasers duke it out and the other beaters work, finally getting back in the action when she noticed that her team was drawing nearer to the goals... which were being guarded by the team captain. Well, if she had managed to hit Gid easily enough... maybe she could hit Pru, too? She hunted down a bludger and took a swing.

Annie groaned when she couldn't manage to get a steal but she was also sort of excited for Gid to try and make a shot. Unfortunately, or fortunately, their keeper had managed to save it. Then it was passed to an older girl so she flew off on her side to keep it away from wandering hands, much like those of the older boy on the other small team and just as they could see the goal a bludger nearly had her. Like barely a hair away and she was sure something would've been broken. Good Merlin that girl could pack a punch! As could Jazzy apparently as she winced seeing the aimed bludger hit the captain. She didn't know if that was good or bad but she knew her friend was hella deadly! Before she knew it though, the quaffle had been passed her way and they were right in front of the goal posts. With a rather nervous laugh the girl zoomed ahead and threw the quaffle towards the right post.
