"Aw," Knux couldn't help but say, seeing the baby bird pokemon. Dan was lucky; he'd heard Rufflet could evolve into a very powerful pokemon that did great in battles. Though ... hearing Sub wanted a favor ...
Knux wondered if it would be worth it to ask just what the favor was before getting into it. Well, might as well try. "What sort of favor?" he asked Sub.

"Oh nothing much..." Sub said as his voice trailed off and his eyes wandered about the room. "Just a simple package delivery and picking one up from the same person, that's all, nothing more." He said facing towards Knux again.

Knux frowned, crossing his arms. "... Well, it's obvious you're not going to tell me the whole spiel on this ... but hey. I've got nothing better to do. Where and who is the package goin' to?" The brunet was getting the vague feeling he might regret volunteering for this.

As the egg cracked open, a beak was the first thing that came out. Dan tried to get closer but a egg shell fragment got him in the face. As the small pokemon emerged, it cried "Rufflet!" "Rufflet? Let's see what that is..." he proceeded to scan it and saw that it was indeed an Unova pokemon. "A Rufflet huh? Now I have a flying type! When you evolve, we are gonna fly all over the place" Dan says excitedly as he helped the bird out of his shell. He then proceeded to name him Talon and put him in a pokeball. Overhearing Sub, he raised his hand and volunteered. For some reason he had a feeling he shouldn't have.

Sub said as he dashed off behind the couch and pulled up a wooden crate, which he seemed to struggle with slightly, not much, just a little to show it have a bit of weight to it. "This is the what, can't say what's inside but whatever you do, for the love of Darkrai, do not open it, especially in the sunlight, okay?" He told Knux. "Dan can accompany you too."

"Sounds simple enough." He himself had lived in Mahogany Town, so he'd heard pf Sprout Tower before and it's monks. The brunet stood up, taking the crate himself, judging the weight and such for himself. Not something he'd be willing to carry for too long, but they had plenty of ways to travel without having to hoof it. "So, is the box teleport-safe or am I going to have to go by hoverboard to Violet City?" he asked.

"This is going to be intresting to say the least. I studied in Violet City when I was younger. I visited the Sprout Tower a couple of times because it reminded me of home" Dan says with a smile on his face. He was curious as to what was in the box and wondered if the monk might open it when he recieves it. "We can take turns carrying if you like."

"Actually, it's not, you'll have to travel there on your own, sorry. Your hoverboards should help however. I wish you both the best of luck!" He said with a smile. "And remember, do not open it, even if the crate become sentient and begins to speak to you beginning you to open it. In the case that it does speak to you I advise you to drop the crate and go check yourself into the nearest Happiny Farms for the Mentally Insane facility." He said in a dead serious voice, but obviously joking, crates can't talk, can they?

Knux smiled at Dan, glad for the company, but raised an eyebrow at what Sub said. "Talking ... right, Sub." He tried to chuckle, but was pretty sure the leader was probably being a bit serious. Who knew what was in that crate ...
"Well Dan, I'll carry this thing for the first leg, then hand it over to you when I get tired, and then vice versa." The brunet settled the crate in his grip, and walked towards the exit of HQ. He'd board his hoverboard outside. "And if I end up in an Asylum, I'll send the bill to you, Sub!" he called back over his shoulder.

"Sounds like a plan then! And Sub I swear you sound like GRAY which would explain a lot actually" Dan says as he exits with Knux. The sun caused him to squint until his eyes adjusted. He pulled out his hoverboard and placed it in front of him. "Well then, let's get moving."

Knux pondered Dan's comment a moment. Sub and GRAY really were alike sometimes ... maybe the AI had absorbed some of Sub's personality after knowing the trainer so much. But, to get back on track. Knux pulled out his own hoverboard, carefully putting the box on it then mounting the vehicle himself, putting one hand on the box to keep it balanced. No speedy turns for him today. "Yeah. Good thing Violet city is in Johto though. We don't have far to go." Knux leaned forward, getting his board moving. Not at top speed though. Hoverboarding was one thing, but doing it with a box either on your board or in your hands severely affected how well he could balance. At least they didn't run into any wild pokemon on the way down Mt. Silver, though their luck probably wouldn't hold the entire way.
((Hm, shall we start a new thread to continue this outside HQ?))

Sub watched as the pair left and thought about Dan's comment for a bit. "Are you really that much a like?" He said out loud to himself, but GRAY spoke up from his SNAG. "Negative, you don't see me performing such meaningless tasks such as grooming and sweating, you humans waste too much time and energy with such tasks." Sub just rolled his eyes at the AI's response. "Yeah, I don't think we're that much a like."

Night sat on the large, low, branch of an even larger tree just outside the entrance to the HQ, leaned back with a fairly large bottle of some unknown (but obviously alcoholic given the way she was acting) liquid.
A large smile plastered on her face as she sang, horribly off key due to her inebriation, "We kindle and char and in flame and ignite. Drink up me 'earties, yo ho. We burn up the city, we're really a fright. Drink up me 'earties, yo ho. Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me."
Needless to say, the young pirate was in an exceptional good mood.

Sub said as he had walked outside to see Knux and Dan off, then noticing the hybrid up in the tree. "I guess that's kind of a dumb question now that I think about it...regardless you seem rather happy." He said to Night as he looked up at her.

"Oh, now you should know better than to ask such dumb questions, Subby Wubby," Night said, flopping over on the limb so that she hung partially upside down to stare at the boy calling up to her, "When have you ever known me not to drink myself silly?"
She back-flipped over the branch and probably would have landed perfectly on her feet had she not been completely drunk. As it was, she was drunk and, instead, landed on her feet for half a second before falling backwards on her a**. Which caused another bought of giggles to burst from the hybrid's mouth.
"As for my being happy, I very much am," She said, staggering to her feet and pulling the strange ball she'd nicked from the competition a few days ago, "I've been tinkering with this thing and I think I've almost got it...uh, something with it. Don't know exactly though."
