>_> What's the last poll question mean?

Pink Floyd - Money

eels like you're dieing ΔɠΔи
It means that I think that the quality of music, particularly mainstream music, has been on a steady decay and decline since about 2000-2001 and it's reached about the lowest point it can get as of this year with artists using manufactured digital noises over computerized voice work, amelodic beats, dry unfeeling lyrics or pre-fab copy paste cookie cutter bullshit.

As well as; Lady Gaga, Stacy Ferguson joining B.E.P., actors and actresses thinking they can sing, American Idol, Metallica releasing "St. Anger", Britney Spears magical breakdown adventure, "Crunk", Jackson's death (Say what you will, but he was musically talented.), Genreism, and Trend whoring.

;~; I like some of them but I know what you mean. A lot of the music and the music videos are just... really horrible. Half the stuff I listen to now is from 2000 and below, but I still like some of the new music. :3

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I mean a lot of great stuff did come from 2000 on.. but the bigger chunk of it was, well, crap. I listen to stuff from the past ten years, but usually it's stuff from under the radar or is from people who've been around since before the downhill fall.

Mhm. A lot of the artists I was listening to for a long time were actually from other countries that no one hears of often.. but it seems after a while they start getting noticed in the US and get huge like Muse did.. ._.

The Rasmus, for example, is a band like that who for a long time went unnoticed in North America, and largely still is, and then got a break for a while and everybody knew who they were. Very few remained fans though.. I was one of those few..

The reason Muse got noticed like they did is because of the damned Twilight books.. Now.. I "like" Twilight.. I'm not one of them "omfgfklhddkgh!!!!!!SQUEE~" fans.. but I like it.. *shrugs* and in the back of like.. all of her books, she thanked Muse for their inspiration.. how she got "that" from an amazing group like them.. I've no clue.. but because of that, they got huge and now I hear them on the radio all the time.. =/
