Residents of British Columbia pretty much have to be on the provincial medical services plan. We're on what they call premium assistance because of our income, but that doesn't pay for 100% of prescriptions and we don't have any money right now. I want to wait and see what the tests say anyway 'cause they don't like to just x-ray female patient's guts without asking a few extra questions.

I have a few other symptoms besides the fact that leaning forward isn't comfortable. I don't want to go into any details here, but the test results are either going to be very interesting or I'm going to be very depressed for a while. But the worst part of the whole thing is I have to go see my incompetent quack of a family doctor to get the results. Oh, how I hate him... a sentiment shared by many of his younger female patients.

He's supposed to be some kind of specialist on gynecological things, but his pet medication is a barely legal hormone cream that can really, really screw things up and he prescribes it for every female patient that goes to see him about anything. I wish he'd go back to South Africa or where ever it was that gave him the piece of paper that says he's a doctor.

I'd love to try a naturopath, but MSP won't pay for it and if I can't afford a prescription I definitely can't afford doctor's bills. MSP is very strict about what they will and won't pay for.
