Aura thinks for a minute, looking down at his hands, which were folded in his lap. "Well... It seemed like the right thing to do, you know? And... Maybe I more than like you." He said the last part quietly, still looking at his lap. "Why did you step in the way like that?" He asked, raising his head and looking directly at Rick.

Aura blinks slowly for a moment, then shrugs. "It was a risk I was willing to take. You seemed to really want a normal life again, so I figured it might take a life to give a life. No big deal, really, since there's only two things I enjoy in this life. My plants, and the one friend I have."

"I didn't want it bad enough that i'd be willing to let you die for me Aura.." He said over his shoulder, as he had rolled over to face the wall. "Besides.. if you died, i'd have to look after your plant's.. and they'd likely suffer." He sweatdropped.

Aura chuckles, then stands up and walks over, patting Rick's back. "No, they wouldn't have suffered. Most of them can actually take care of themselves if they were to be put outside. And just why don't you want me to die for you?" He asks, rubbing Rick's back. "You need to calm down.. You're a bit too stressed, okay? Worrying over little things like someone else's life and what not..."

Rick looked up over his shoulder. "Well I had to worry... You was nearly seconds away from your death.. or i thought so anyway. If i could stop it then I would've... you're the only one i've ever had these weird feelings for, and i don't wanna lose you if it turns out those feelings are important.." not that he'd wanna lose him if they werent.

Aura smiles a bit, then shrugs. "I consider myself pretty worthless anyway, anti-social mer that I am. You always seemed to be getting hurt whenever I was around, so I really can't help but thinking my oh so very bright coloring makes me a target over half the time. And last I knew, you just considered me a friend, Rick." He said, looking at him again.

"I'm not sure what i consider you.. No one's really treated me the way you treat me.. It makes me wonder if everyone i've known so far weren't really my friends.." He sighed as he thought about it. "And Aura.. I get hurt even when you're not around, I'm a pain magnet, don't worry about it." He sweatdropped as he turned over again.

Aura thinks carefully before saying anything. "I don't think it's your fault you're a pain magnet, Rick. You just weren't hanging around the right set of friends, in my opinion." He starts to move back towards the bean bag, giving Rick his space if he wanted it.

Rick instinctivly took hold of aura's arm, then blinked and let go, figuring he wanted to go back to teh beanbag. "Yea.. I guess so." He tried not to think so much about this.. it was kinda saddening, and also made him want to hurt stuff back.. but it was only Aura here.. and he didn't really wanna hurt him if he could help it.

Aura froze when Rick's hand grabbed his arm, looking over at him. "You alright?" He asked, still sitting on Rick's bed. "You know, if there's something you want to talk about, I'm here. That's what friends are for."

Aura shakes his head, then hugs Rick briefly. Letting go, he chuckles a bit. "It's not surprising that you're remembering your past. You've had a very long life, after all."
