Nyl Phairen She looked up at him, frowning. "Uh-huh, yeah. I recognize that tone of voice. Why?" "Because I forgot to change the bandages last night." He took her wrists in his hands and turned them slightly, unwrapping the bandages. "Good, they're callousing over pretty well." He pulled new bandages from a pouch in his shirt and began to rewrap them.

She almost laughed, except she didn't want to start bouncing around and have him screw up. So she just grinned.

He looked up at her and nodded his head to the side. His mouth curved up into a soft smile. He wasn't sure what to say. "I apologize for that comment." He turned and tossed the old bandages into the air, and they quickly disintigrated. He winked. "You're not the cocky type, anyway, I kinda figured I had misunderstood."

The look on her face was again one of suppressed laughter. She shook her head, looking back at Seph. "Should I ask more about it, or is it a surprise?"

He smiled some. "No, not really a surprise. You'll have a candle and you'll have to increase the size of the flame and decrease it without putting it out. It's difficult because it's so easy to put the flame out."
