Only lady I know with a top hat Is Zatana. And there hasn't been any starsapphire around here since Querl made that chronal disturbance and turned back into one.

Star Sapphires have never been the most reliable... anything. It's too bad you don't have access to the security tapes and don't know anybody who's good at breaking into things to find out what happened to your scanner.
