Rei turned his head back to Kasushi, and smiled, "Good. Apology accepted. I'm impressed, you didn't sulk. That takes courage and honor, the most important characteristics of a warrior. You must be more adept than I stated. I apologise also."

::the sound of the chittering became apparently as three common brown rats excited a whole in the dark corner of the closest and looked up at Edge, shaking slightly in fear. Apparently, it was just a false alarm. The rats chittered at him again, as if trying to appear more bold than they really were::

::as shigen scouted ahead, he would begin to find sigsn of claw marks on trees. The marks appeared to be circling off a certain area and then filling it in, an obvious mark of claiming territory::

Areno lifted a dirty-grey brow and looked back to the other one. "Yes, yes you do. Do not speak when it is not necessary, and answer my questions promptly. I assure you that the consequences of disobeying these simple principles will be costly." He gave a soft sigh, wondering what retarded family could have produced such as these into the shinobi world.

He turned to Edge, trusting him to open the box and report on the contents when he'd finished his examination. Areno returned his attention to said vermin and awaited his reply from Kinoru.

Rei continued to follow the path, regardless of what Selestria thought, his temper didn't need cooling. He never even raised his voice to Kasushi, and they both appologised so that was the end of it, in his eyes. Rei wasn't going to hold a grudge, he just refused to be disrespected by his peers.

"If Shigen scouts anything, he'll have the sence to return to the group won't he?" Rei thought to himself, wondering what the feiry kid would do if he scouted one of the Wolf Tribe. Rei had a bad feeling, but he trusted Shigen... In a very strange sort of way.

"I guess you should know. We were told of many deadly traps in these ruins by the leader of the wolf riders. To of the wolf riders brought us here, they new you guys were here all along, and if it were not for me talking with the leader you would have been captured the second you left the ruins. She wishes to see what we find, she has some suspision as to what it may be. She wishes to only see it though. She knows my name, and that we are ninja, but she doesn't kbow who you are or where any of us are from"

::edge would find that the inside of the box was about the only place that was not covered in dust and cobwebs. Inside the box, resting on a padded, black velvet cushion were three red gems, all roughly the same size. They looked dull inside of the closet, due to the lack of any true light. Yet even the slight sheen they had in the dark would hint at their firey-ness in the light::

Areno's eye twitched. "You gave further information to your captors? When we return, do not bother asking Buki-sensei about being promoted, just go home. Those are not the actions of a shinobi, and if you cannot exhibit basic ninja knowledge and protocol, you do not deserve a hitai-ate or the Genin rank. You are muhon-nin, from here on."

The Sunagakure prodigy turned on heel, debating whether or not to spare them the shame of being traitors with a well-placed finishing attack, or to let them suffer. Areno was not a cruel person, but traitors could not be abided by in the shinobi world. Even a teaching mission such as this cannot be without consequences, so he believed.
