Baby goes into the kitchen and sees that everyone is at the feast , but then every body that doesn't get sorted will need cheering up , so Baby starts to bake chocolate chip cookies , and starts to boil the kettle for some hot choclate. After that she washes her dishes from baking , then she sat down to do the crossword in the newspaper while having a couple cookies and a small cup of hot chocolate. Then Baby hears noise coming from the hallway and doesn't pay any mind.

Schnerkel came into the room and thought for a moment that no one was there any longer, but came to a happy start when she saw DaBonster in the room. "Hey Von!" she called across the room cheerfully and quickly walked over to her, "Do you need any help?"
She then noticed another girl in the room, "Hi, my name's Schnerkel - what's yours? Those cookies look really great, by the way."

::Liam rushes into the kitchens and sees the new house-elf making cookies. He also notices a few others meandering around with nothing to do.::
"Fellow house elfs, we has an obligation to the students up stairs to help with the party. We must go and help clean. No time for being bored. Come come, let us to the party!"

DrgnQueen sees the cookies being made and thinks of something good to make! Hmmmm.... What shall me make? I know.... Stuffed Turkey! That sounds good. I'll try that.

Erin came storming into the kitchen, her tongue nearly hanging out from the running. Spotting her friend, she rushed over to Schnerkel and grabbed the girl by the hand.
"Come with me!" she huffed, nearly pulling Schnerkel off her feet. "Forget the food, I have a much better idea. We will make a soap slide all the way from the Great Hall to the courtyard! It will be a blast and such a treat for everyone that has been sorted!" Still breathing heavily, Erin spotted Von and grabbed a hold of her too. "Come along!" she panted, pushing ths two towards the door.

For a moment Schnerkel wondered if Erin's tongue was going to fall out as she entered the room, but then - with a tug - her friend started to lead her out of the room. "We're going to do what?!" Schnerkel cried with more than the average amount of surprise in her voice. Erin had never been one to say things so rashly, and for a few seconds Schnerkel just stood there in amazement.
"Well...er...I don't know if that will work out so well Erin," she started nervously. Trying to talk sense into someone else was very uncharted territory for the elf. "Maybe we could...OH!" she exclaimed as an idea struck her, "We can make a soap slide right here in the kitchens! It can connect the ovens and our cabinet where all of our ingredients are stored! That way, we can greatly increase our productivity and lessen the time it takes us to make food!" Schnerkel beamed as she waited to see what Erin, Von, or anyone else thought of the idea.

Erin's face fell noticeably as Schnerkel shot her plan down. What was wrong with her friend? Usually the girl would be the first to suggest a fun plan and here she was, trying to dissuade Erin! Feeling her lower lip starting to tremble, Erin just stared at Schnerkel. Didn't she realize that Erin simply could not butter another slice of toast without having a conniption? Sure, it was a passion for Schnerkel to be around toast of all sorts and sizes, but for Erin it was not such a joy. She had never liked bread that much anyway. Who would have bread if you could have pasta or fudge?
But Erin's despondency did not last for very long, for Schnerkel soon found a way to devise Erin's idea into a master plan. A soap slide in the kitchen to have fun while slaving away!
"What a great idea!" Erin exclaimed, bouncing up and down before rushing to the nearest cleaning cabinet to get the liquid soap. "You can map the course, Schnerkel, since it was your bright idea." Erin continued, handing Schnerkel the bottle. "And I will make myself some skates!"
Reaching into the cabinet again, Erin pulled two brushes out and tied them to her feet with some plastic wrap. That way she could wash the floor as well.

"You can map the course, Schnerkel"
That was music to the little elf's ears as she eagerly started walking around the kitchens mumbling to herself the layout of the course. "We can have it go straight from this area, over to here," Schnerkel said to herself as she kicked aside a chair that was in the way. After a few moments of planning she turned to go show what she had to Erin. "What do you think of this?" she asked happily. Just as she said it thought she realized she should make her footwear before they got started - it sure wouldn't suit for the elf to hurt her feet slipping from one side of the kitchen to the other!
For a moment she eyed the contraptions tied to Erin's feet, and then she tried to copy them on her own. Schnerkel grabbed two brushes and attempted to tie them to her feet with plastic wrap, but only wrapped the plastic wrap around her ankles. At first she thought she had made them successfully, but when she took her first step, the brush stayed behind! "Oh!" she said softly, "What happened?" She looked at Erin hopefully - she sure wanted to be able to slide soon!

Grinning as she saw how eagerly Schnerkel started participating in the execution of their plan, Erin continued to fasted her "skates" with plastic wrap until she was certain that she had cut off circulation to both of her feet. The brushes stayed in place, though, which was all that mattered and she performed a twist or two as she clapped in approval to the proposed course. "Let's get some soap on this floor, shall we?" she asked, squirting the pink liquid on the floor in front of it and sprinkling handfuls of water from the sink to make it bubbly while the other elf tried to fasten her skates.
"No no, like this..." she said, moving forward to help her friend as the brushes stayed behind. "Don't only wrap it around your ankles, make sure that you get a hold of the brushes too, otherwise they will simply slip off. Work in a double eight looping motion, if you can. But don't fasten the wrap too tightly, otherwise you will end up with purple feet and since there is not a purple house in Hogwarts, it will be a disaster."
Erin skated around the table in the centre of the kitchen as she waited for Schnerkel to finish, practicing all types of twists and turns on her new skates.
"So where shall we start?" she asked as she came to a screeching halt in front of the other elves, ready to bring food to the hungry masses.

"Ooh!" Schnerkel gasped as Erin fixed her skates for her. Once they were properly attached to her feet, the house elf tried to move. She moved much slower - and more awkwardly - than her friend, but she was at least going forward without completely falling apart. She did lose balance for a moment as she watched Erin go through some sort of complicated spins, but regained composure quickly and moved closer to her. "Well, we need to first get what we're making. What were we doing again?" for a moment the elf tried to think, but came up with nothing. "Were we making turkey for dinner?" Schnerkel at least remembered what time of day it was, but was a bit more hesitant as to what they were going to make. Maybe it was pasta? Or mashed potatoes? The true food escaped her for the moment...
(I just made some ideas for what we could make - if you don't like any of them you can pick your own! biggrin )

Sarah stands on her toes and grabs a brush from one of the shelves. She then fills a bucket with overly soapy water and carries it to a corner of the kitchen.
"Best to start here, Sarah thinks."
Sarah soaps her brush and bends as low as possible, her nose almost touching the floor as she starts scrubbing the floor.

Sarah continues scrubbing, having made her way through half of the kitchen now. Being an overly diligent house elf, Sarah spends thirty minutes on each one spot before moving on. Hence why it has taken her this long to get through half the floor. She does not complain though, just whistles happily as she continues about her cleaning.
(No one else posted since my last, so I just continued. I hope that's ok. sweatdrop )

*Peeks in, opens the door. Closes the door, does the open and close door thingy again and again... Stops after five minutes.*
"Me is hungry! Hello? Miss Alicia? Anybody? Hello, me is Liera... Pronounced as (Lie-rah) but feel fwee to call me Ellie or Lywa. I'm actwally new, me new house elf... Um, me just came by to say hi to you and me feyyow house elves."
*Frolics around and slips on the newly scrubbed floor*
"Naw!"
*Runs back to the door*
"Me be back tomorrow!"
*Hops around the hall, bumps into some students... Loud thuds and broken glass sounds after that*
(Lol, hi Miss Alicia, everybody... I just wanted to introduce myself. As you can see from the RP above I, Elliera the house-elf, am the clumsy and hyper type... I usually mispronounce words as an house-elf but I am fairly literate when it comes to non RP.)
