Sonya opened the door in a pj's tank top and shorts. "Oh hi,"she said cheerfully, smiling bright, "I am still awake. I was in the middle of reading some Manga called Fushigi Yugi: Genbu Kaiden. Such a wonderful fantasy and love story." She then noticed the new girl. "Oh, you must be my new roomate. Welcome, my name is Sonya. It's nice to have someone to talk to in my room. I am also new," she said, smiling at the new girl.

Sasha looked at Magneto eyes to eyes. "I haven't nothing to say to you," she said coldly," I"ll let you know when I do." She heistated, but follow him inside along with the others. She overheard Courtney and Markis. "If you wanted to kill yourself just because some human hated you, then you have a lot of guts to develop." She stayed in the back of the group. She still didn't know weither or not she could trust this geezer. She would keep on her guard.

While Jacen was being dragged througout the corridors, Neophyte stayed in his shifted state, biding his time. Then, as the Kleinstocks walked out of sight, Neophyte reappeared and headed in the opposite direction. He knew that what he had planned would most assuredly get himself killed, but Neophyte always was a bit more concientous than the rest of the Acolytes. Not only did the young one have a conscience, but himself and Jacen practically went through the 'program' together, them both being the same age. It's just that Neophyte's youthful ignorance made him seem not a day older than fifteen.

"I hope no one sees me," he said as he switched between walking and shifting through walls to get to his destination. For whatever reason, he seemed rather determined to stop this execution. As he walked that way, various other Acolytes were heading towards the main chambers. Neophyte knew why. The 'trial' was about ready to start, though he questioned the rationale of a trial if they were just going to execute the young man anyways.

After weaving and dodging almost all of his team, Neophyte found himself in a small communications room in the far end of the castle. He fumbled around with the console for a second before the small monitor fired up with a loud static rumble. He didn't know who he could contact to help. Neophyte knew that where they stayed at was definitely under the radar, but....maybe... "It's a longshot," the young man said as he punched up a couple of buttons, hoping he'd reach who he wanted to reach.

He heard a crackle, and a voice on the other end. It was hard to hear, especially with all of the static on the line. Neophyte frowned, upset that he didn't know who he was speaking with. He thought he had dialed up Xavier's Institute; a shot in the dark at best if they were going to help.

"Hello? Hello? This is McCoy."

Neophyte sighed for a second. "Is the Xavier's?"

"Most assuredly."

Without hesitance, Neophyte calmly said, "There is a mutant here being tortured and held hostage. Soon, he will wind up being executed." There was a brief silence before the line sparked to life again. "Here are the exact coordinates to my location. Please....I want to help my friend, yet I'm powerless against the rest of the Acolytes."

McCoy scanned over the coordinates a few times before speaking with Neophyte for a few moments longer. Meanwhile, on the other side of the castle, Milan caught a fading glimpse of a nearby electromagnetic wave sparking then fading.

"Exodus," Milan said, "I believe we will have visitors in the near future."

"Good," Exodus said, "More people to watch the festivities."

Corky let out a very annoyed 'tuh!' but didn't say anything else, not even to correct her last name. They were mistaking getting drunk off her a** for suicidal tendencies. She was slightly insulted.

But Courtney would stay here, more for her own benefit than anyone else's. It might kill her to only be able to socialize with Sasha and Victoria and Ritalin, but it wasn't like she could go back home. That would be one big awkward moment after another that she didn't want to have to deal with. Staying here would be very strange, but Courtney still didn't quite understand what was going on. She was just going to have to wing it and work her way up. This was just like school, except on a much bigger scale.

||Thanks for the advice, I hate how it does that. >< I'm so tired, so I'm just gunna have Corky go with the flow. Horray for versatile characters.||

During the waning hours of the night, a small red light started flashing in the bedroom of Penance and Regina before a comm signal went off: Porter, Colt, Munroe, Chayse, Summers, and Xavier report to the War Room immediately. No time for dolling up. Penance had just caught some sleep and sat upright in her bed while Regina was grumbling out of her sleep.

Jacen, hold on. Was her lone thought. She didn't bother putting on shoes before draggign Regina out of their room. The urgency in McCoy's voice already told her that they had no time to spare in this matter. Team meeting, plans go out, and they take off. Penny put her thumb against a hand scanner to get them down to the War Room levels.

"You could have at least put shoes on," Scott said as Penny entered the room and sat in a chair.

She looked at her feet, "Nope, no time to find them."

He nodded. Neither had the desire to say something smarmy to each other. It was game face time. Pretend you like your fellow man until the mission was over. As soon as Porter entered the room he asked, "What do we know?"

"We have to move within the next fifteen minutes to make it," Scott created a digital map that pinpointed where the Acolytes castle is, "Regina, how fast can you get there through shadow and how many people can you take and get out of there with your energy in tact?"

"Not everybody," She answered not sure what Scott wanted to know.

"Can you take four with you?" He asked her and she nodded, "Can you get there faster than the X-Jet will? This is a long distance. If you can get there in enough time to prevent the execution of Jacen, the X-Jet will bring the backups to make sure you get out in one peice and to make sure the Acolytes know who they are dealing with today."

Penny just about choaked when she heard the words 'execution of Jacen.' But now was not the time to go into panic. The only thing she asked for was the ability to shove pointy sharp objects into soembody's bad's body... and at this time, she would have no hesitation in doing it.

Scott went on:
"There are quite a few Acolytes. We will need every able body who can fight and is willing. Jonothan, we need the Green Team. Ororo, we need the Gold Team.

Rescue Team: The goal is to stop the execution and to get Jacen out of the base. He will need medical attention on the jet when we arrive. Logan will lead this team. It will include him, Evelyn, Regina, and Morgan. We need our healers up front since you are going in blind and backup will be delayed. Regina, your job is to get him out of there. The other three will remain behind to back you up and keep the focus off the jet.

Team 1: This is my team. It will be myself, Jamie, Teagan, Rogue, and Kurt.

Team 2: This is Ororo's team. It will be Ororo, Blair, Gen, Kitty, and Bobby.

Team 3: This is Jonothan's team. It will be Jonothan, Jean, Sonya, Rachael, and Danielle.

The three teams will attack at different points of the castle. We are the long shot in some cases and our goal is to get our rescue team out of there and make these Acolytes stand down. Hank will remain in the jet to tend to injuries. Questions?"

Regina thougth about it and raised a hand. "Where do Penny and I fit in all this? And to answer your question earlier, I can take a maximum of 3 people at a time through the shadows. Pick your three that you want to go in the first wave other than me."

Gen scuffed a shoe, listening to all this. She wasn't sure if she was ready, but she knew it was important. and most of all, she had confidence from having her powers artificially boosted and some time to learn to control them.

Jacen couldn't keep his eyes open while he was being dragged around like a dog through the Acolyte's castle. The pain from his wounds was too much for him to bear, which was saying a bit considering alot of the foes he fought and how badly they've injured him.

"Ahhh....," Jacen said as he tripped and hit his knee hard on the stone floor.

"Silence, cur!!," Spoor, who was accompanying the Kleinstocks, before kicking Jacen hard in the gut. Jacen let out a gurgle, then a cough as he slowly stood up and was lead again down the corridor. He was only lead about another 100 yards before the mutants all found themselves infront a rather big double door. One half of the Kleinstocks (They are both fused together....2 torsos, 1 lower body) opened the door so they all could enter the main chamber of the castle.

Jacen's eyes actually adjusted somewhat, that was until the bright light of what he thought was an energy helix blinded him again. "Good. I see you've brought the traitor," Exodus said as he levitated himself from his throne in the middle of the chamber.

"Of course, Exodus. I honestly don't think any of us Acolytes would have missed this, even with the world coming to an end," Spoor said as he released Scion's shackles from his wrists and ankles. As he did that, Neophyte shifted into the room, far off from the rest of the Acolytes.

"So I've noticed," Exodus said, noticing young Neophyte entering the picture. Exodus knew of Neophyte's treachery, though he was going to bide his time. Before shifting his gaze to Scion, Exodus looked over his assembled group of Acolytes.

Cargill, a fighter of no bounds, and her indestructible skin proved that point; Unuscione, able to project an exoskeleton capable of protecting her and messing with her foes nervous systems; Scanner, a bio-electric mutant able to detect any presence, turn her body into an electro-transitional state, and also able to scramble psychic projections; the Kleinstocks, together they possessed the strength of two men along with the ability to generate plasma bursts; Senyaka, who can drain one's life essence to fuel himself, and also to generate his whip from his overstocked ill-gotten gains; Milan, an electropath; Amelia Voght, the group's teleporter, although her means were less that comfortable; Spoor, the feral Scottish Acolyte. His nature was that of an unnatural beast; Mellencamp, alot like Spoor in his mutation, although he was demonic in appearance.

Exodus smiled wickedly as he nodded to all of his followers, then looked down at the prone Scion. "You do realize why you sit here before us, correct?," Exodus asked.

"Because my brain doubled in size, and I decided to think for myself for once?" He was met with a psychokinetic burst of energy to his chest.

"No," Exodus continued, "Because you turned your back on the Acolytes...on Magneto himself!" Then, the self appointed 'prosecutor' went on his tangent. "You could simply not follow the edict of loyalty to Lord Magneto. You could not comply with the way the system works. You always were percieved as better than the rest of us Acolytes. I say that is a joke. Look before you, fellow followers; we have before us a battered and broken man. Hardly better than a fly." <******** you, pal!!," Jacen yelled, mustering up what courage he had. He had a feeling that this was most definitely going to be it, "I bet a fly would be able to whup you ten ways from..." He was cut off with two clawed hands around his throat. Spoor and Mellencamp were not taking this tirade very kindly.

"As I said...." Exodus said as he waved his hand and two objects floated his way. Jacen's gauntlets. "These....these weapons were created by Magneto just for you. Because you were such a loyal subject. Now...because of your treachery, you have forfeit your right to use these." As Exodus said that, he charged up a massive orb of energy in his hands, hands that held Jacen's equipment. There was a slow build up as alot of the Acolytes seemed to be getting restless. Then, in a flash, the light was gone as were Jacen's weapons.

"And now," Exodus said, a scowl falling over his face, "Do you have anything to say on your behalf before you die?"

"As I mentioned," Scott answered the question, "You will be taking yourself, Evelyn, Morgan and Logan. My choice in team leaders is not to snub either of you. My decision is based on who we need on what team. You are the best transporter we have. I know you are going into a hot bed but there is no other choice. The X-Jet will not get us all there in time."

Penny thought about this for a moment. She didn't have a problem with getting thrown into the middle of a group of hot headed mutants, it tended to happen to the team, "Okay, so Regina takes us to this place and we pop up in front of Jacen or whatever... Morgan, myself, and Logan have to fend off these bastards while Regina springs Jacen loose? Shouldn't we just flee after that?"

"Evelyn, I'm surprised you'd ask if you should run away from the fight," He commented off hand, "If we run, they will follow. We need to send a message that this will not be tolerated and they should not come looking for Jacen again. We will be the agressors today. We cannot afford to have the Acoyltes coming to the Institute for revenge when we have so many young kids here. If Jacen is unable to fight, Regina, you are to transport him out of there. If he is, then backup is on the way. They are powerful and they are dangerous. Put on the good armor today. Go get your teams."

Logan nodded to Penny who put in a call to Morgan, "Morgan, we need you suited up and down in the War Room immediately."

Porter hit the comm into the student's bedrooms, "Jamie, Teagan, Rogue, and Kurt: suit up, you need to meet with Scott Summers immediately in the X-Jet hangar. Blair, Gen, Kitty, and Bobby: suit up, you need to meet with Ororo Munroe immediately in the X-Jet hangar. Jean, Sonya, Rachael and Danielle: suit up, you need to meet me immediately in the X-Jet hangar. We have a mission."

ooc: another joint rp. let's get this party started!

ic:
Penny and Regina moved at a quick pace to the girls locker room on the War Room level. They had their uniforms and weapons locked up here, "How you feeling about this mission? We're going to have a huge target on our necks going in there like that... not that I see another choice."

"It's fine. I can deal with it, and at least I'm getting us there in a good time frame. I hope." she replied, sighing. "I'm as worried as you... "

"You got both Jacen and myself back from Boston in no time flat... sure this is a long distance, but you aren't carrying anybody's weight. I'm confident you will do fine," Penance said and grabbed her armored uniform out of the lockers. Today wasn't the day for skin and other random spots that said 'hit me with a sharp objects.'

"I may not be carrying weight, but I'll be transporting 3 people at a time... it's not going to be easy." Regina mentioned, getting her suit out.

"I guess I just take it for granted that you can travel shadows. It always looks so easy," Penance pulled the skin tight suit up her legs and really hoped she didn't have to use the ladies room at any point in time because the uniform was a b***h and a half to get off, "You'd think they'd get a better technology in the uniform department."

"Agreed... stupid things. At least their form fitting." she muttered, shrugging into hers. "Wonder what porter will say to these things."

Penny just about choked on her thought, "So many dirty things to say and so little time. Doesn't matter anyway, once the body armor is fastened you can't see anything good." She pulled her chest plate out of the storage locker. Good for protection, annoying for her usual maneuverability.

"True that... Oh well, he'll have time to imagine later." with one last click, Regina had her suit on and ready for action. "Let's go..."

Jamie got up quickly. Not that he had really been asleep anyway, and he put on his uniform. He grabbed his katana, then rushed down to hanger. "Hey Slim." Jamie said to him quietly.

"Dammit Jamie, I told you to stop calling me that! And be professional, this is serious."

It was a testement to how nervous Jamie was that he just bit his lip and nodded. He looked around as the rest of the members started showing up. "Hey Scott. . . Do you know how long it will take us to get there?"

OOC: I don't have time to keep logging into the NPCS to post for them during this mission so I'll do my best to highlight the other x-men when i'm talking for them.

IC:

Scott answered Jamie, "If Jean and Storm give us favorable flying conditions, we should be there within the hour. Regina will move the first team through in a considerably less time."

Before Penny left the locker room she unlocked the weapons arsenal to grap her personal stash. They were her lifeline. Without weapons to rely on, she felt she was almost useless in any type of fight. Smelling really well doesn't exactly hurt the bad guys. Holding onto the door, she leaned over and started at the ground to regain her whits. Her banter with Regina was out of her nervousness. With a deep breathe she pushed that away to focus solely on the task at hand.

"The arsenaul is open for those who need weapons," Penny said and walked into the X-Jet hangar," She saw Jamie, "Jamie, at some point in this fight, I may call on you to turn down the lights. Our enemies may be at a disadvantage with this and Wolverine and myself may be able to use that to our own. Other than that, make 'em cry. You have the best illusion skills I"ve ever seen."

Penny started to walk away from the hanger and Jamie asked, "You're not going with us?"

She shook her head, "I'm going with Regina. Myself, Morgan and Wolverine are the first line."

Morgan grabbed his uniform. It looked less like the standard fare that the other X-Men wore, and more like the traditional garb of the ninja. Hood, facemask, headband, the works. He had a form-fitting bodysuit underneath, but overtop was the suit made of black "cloth", with a pouchbelt that held his little tricks- smoke pellets and sharp throwing objects - tied around his waist. The outfit was a mix of old and new, with the X-Men insignia pinned to the front of his belt, but in black and dull red, rather than the usual gold colors. Bright yellow was not exactly the color to wear when trying to be stealthy.

He grabbed his two new daggers, and the Masamune, and headed to the sub-basement to meet up with the others.

Blair woke up and jumped out of his bed upon hearing the command for the mission to begin. Bobby was snoring across the room and not waking so Blair threw a pillow at him, yelling at him to get up.

Ruffling through his bags and bags of new things he bought at the beach, Blair found the sharp blackened metal throwing stars he purchased. Smiling, he continued to get ready for the mission.

After a few choice moments, Blair had his eyeliner on, his hair fixed, and his new black and dull green standard X-men outfit; fitting for the Green team. He placed on his custom belt he had made at the beach and magnetically attached the throwing stars where a buckle should be on the front.

As he tried to be fast moving down the stairs, due to the form-fitted outfit, Blair grimaced but made it without being too late.

"Hello, Storm. So....do we have a set task for our team?"

Sonya jumped and fell out of her bed. Her hair was up all staticy. "That's the worst wakeup call I've ever had," she yawned. She went over to the closet. Porter had told her whenever a call like this was given out, to suit up. She quickly changed into her suit. She noticed a pair of gloves with a note attached:

"To help you focus and control your powers better."
-Porter

She slipped one on, and walked over to Rachael who was still asleep.

"Rachael, wake up, we must go!" she said, though the girl was still asleep. "Ok then..."

She sent a small jolt at the girl, and caused her to wake up suddenly, her hair the same as Sonya's. "Come Rachael, we must go!"

Sonya went out to where the X-Jet was, knowing the location thanks to her earlier tour.

Jamie nodded at Penny. "Well, good luck then. Leave a few of 'em for me, alright?" Jamie said to her. Not that he was actually confident that he could fight more than one acolyte, he probably couldn't beat one, but giving an air of cockiness never hurt anyone. Better to stay calm.

Jamie looked over at Scott for a moment, before looking around the hanger. The teams were forming in front of there leaders, and Jamie waited for the rest of his group to show up.

Jacen looked up at Exodus through clouded eyes, due to the shot he had just taken a moment ago. "Of course I've got something to say in my defense....," he muttered before spitting blood on the ground."

As much as he wanted to stand to face them all, he couldn't. Everything in the past couple of months had caught up with him horribly. "You know.....," Jacen said as he sat himself down on the floor, "As disappointed that the Brotherhood didn't show up when I could have used the assistance.....I wasn't surprised that they didn't. They are cowards for the most part." The entire congregation of Acolytes looked at him with a slight disdain.

"But...I would have thought that even the mighty Acolytes....Magneto's chosen, would have come to my aid...but alas," Jacen shook his head. ".....It was apparent you were working on trying to get rid of me as it was...." Again he shook his head. "...But you know.....as much as you try, I'm sure you won't be able to get rid of me...."

"Rather confident of that, are we not?," Unuscione said as she started to walk towards Scion. Exodus waved his hand, and she stepped back into the group.

"Not that you'd not get rid of me....but," Jacen thought for a second. "But...I think I've made some friends that will actually go out of their way to try something crazy to protect me...."

"I've heard enough of this," Exodus said as he motioned for Mellencamp and Spoor to come forth again. "Your executioners as they may be, will take great pleasure in disemboweling you." Mellencamp smiled a bit, drool dripping from his fangs; Spoor let forth a gutteral growl. As he was brought up to a kneeling position, Jacen thought about his life, as short as it was, and only had one regret.....leaving the beach house the way he did.

Silently as he had his neck held by Mellencamp's talons, poised to slash him wide open, he said only one thing, "I'm....sorry, Evelyn..."
