Earendil chuckled and stepped out in the hall after Miyuki, and when Lin brought Miyuki into their room to get her dressed again, he turned to Haldia and smiled.
"Good morning," he greeted her warmly. "Did you sleep well?"
"Yes," Haldia replied, smiling back at him. "And it looks as though I slept better than you did. Did you talk to Lin last night when you went for your walk?"
Earendil blushed and nodded. "Yes," he replied in her language, keeping his voice quiet. "It was ... harder even than I had expected it would be ... though the result, I must admit, I was ... sort of expecting."
Haldia smiled and put one hand on his shoulder. "Give her time," she whispered. "That's all you can do."

"It should be summer back home," Lin murmured more to herself than to Miyuki.
It would mean a whole new set of clothes. Honestly she wondered how her mother handled it. So many fast growing children and they all had their own clothes because they didn't even grow to the same height as they all weren't related to each other. It must have been difficult she thought.
Once she was done, she packed the rest of their things into their bags.
Miyuki, who didn't quite understand what was going on ran back out of the room.

Earendil scooped Miyuki up before she could run very far, and tossed her up in the air and caught her again.
"And this one is always full of energy," he chuckled, grinning.
Haldia smiled. "Morning, Miyuki," she said cheerfully.

Miyuki shrieked and giggled as she clung to Earendil. She waved at Haldia, "Mornin' Hal-da," she replied.
Lin followed shortly after carrying two bags and a doll, she held it out to Miyuki, "Forgot someone?"
"Doll!" Miyuki cried out taking it, "E-dil doll. Sen-sen?"
She looked around for the other creature. Never since Miyuki grew, Senka had been getting out more. Probably because Miyuki finally learned not to eat Senka's tail. It was kind of odd, she was fond of Senka more than Saki, even though Saki was the more sociable of the cats there.
"How many times do I have to say don't call me that?" Senka leaped up and landed on her owner's shoulder.
"Sen-sen!"

Earendil chuckled. "Come on, Miyuki, you can say her name, I'm sure of it! Sen-ka! Ka! Ka!"
Haldia giggled and reached out to scratch Senka behind the ears. She was fond of the little cat, even if she didn't spend much time with her.

Miyuki blinked at him innocently. Almost perhaps too innocently? She looked back at the cat who was enjoying the scratch behind the ears.
"Sen-sen!"
"I think Senka is stuck with that," Lin murmured thoughtfully, though she was obviously amused.

Haldia giggled. "I think maybe Miyuki on purpose says?" she grinned. "She can silly be sometimes."
Earendil hugged Miyuki, then put her down on the floor again. "Come on, we should go have some breakfast. We all have a long day ahead of us."
"You have about my offer thought?" Haldia asked him, leading the way towards the stairs.
Earendil nodded. "I figure I might as well. Otherwise it's going to be a long and lonely trip home."

Miyuki giggled and ran ahead to the kitchen. It was morning, she had a good night's rest unlike some grown ups and sometimes Lin was sure that Miyuki produced her own energy. From what she wasn't quite sure yet.
"Offer?" Lin inquired softly.

"She's going to fly me to the Southland before continuing home," Earendil explained. "It's on her way, and that way I don't have to worry about traveling alone."
"Kelirahc and Leyenda want to stay here for longer," Haldia added. "So they would not go with him."

Lin hadn't been aware that Kelirahc and Leyenda wanted to stay longer, but it made sense. There was still much for them here and from here they could go anywhere.
"That make sense," she nodded.
It was good to know at least Earendil wouldn't be alone.
Miyuki ran into the kitchen to see who else would be there. Like her mother, once Miyuki could she liked to wandered places. Except unlike her mother, Lin didn't let her wander out of her line sight. Lin had been painfully aware her mental capability compared to Miyuki when she was a child were vastly different.

Haradhel and Leyenda were both in the kitchen preparing the meal together, and Amalirahc was sitting on a stool by the counter, eating tiny pieces of meat that Leyenda was giving him while they worked. When Miyuki ran in, Amalirahc grinned at her.
"Mi'ki!" he greeted her. "Come, has some!" He grabbed one of the pieces of meat and held it down to her.
Earendil nodded. "I'm sure my parents would prefer it as well," he smiled. "I'm afraid my mother still gets nervous when I travel, even when I'm not alone."

She smelled meat, and while Miyuki will eat her veggies with some convincing she liked meat the best. Following her nose she headed towards Amalirahc. She reached up and took the meat, stuffing it into her mouth.
"Tank yoo," she mumbled around the food.
Lin did her best not to shake her head and giggle at that. Even after all these years.
"How has your mother handled your brother traveling all the time?"
Especially since he bore the scars of a fight that seemed had been too close for comfort.

Leyenda smiled at her son and reached over the counter to ruffle his hair. "Good for you, Amalirahc," she beamed. "That was kind of you."
Amalirahc grinned at his mother. "Good, s'are," he told her.
Leyenda giggled. "Exactly right. It's good to share."
Amalirahc popped a piece into his own mouth, then held another one down to Miyuki. "Moh?"
Earendil had to think about that. "Well," he murmured, exhaling slowly, "I think she's accepted it because he's been gone for so long, but she also gets regular letters from him. I think it's harder for her that I've also decided to travel, because I lived at home for so much longer than Daeron. He left when he was sixteen, I was seventy."

"Pelease?" Miyuki murmured.
She liked meat, but that might be the foxy side her talking.
"That's true," Lin murmured.
And if she recalled correctly that had been because of the tensions between Daeron and his father. Though she didn't know the whole story, only that Daeron adored his aunt Elnara and had looked up to her brother Triton.
"It probably doesn't help your idea of travel also includes sailing to far unknown lands," Lin murmured.

Amalirahc grinned at Miyuki. "Heah!" he told her, stretching a bit further to give her the meat in his hand.
"Don't fall," Leyenda cautioned him. "Be careful."
"Cahful!" Amalirahc nodded in reply.
Earendil chuckled at Lin. "Well, when I reminded her that my desire to travel also extended to other worlds, she said I could travel the seas if I promised never to leave our world. Since that's not really a possibility, I agreed."
