[Anthony ~.~ Caribbean Sea ~.~ Brig of the Dutchman]

When he first heard the word "leverage," Anthony's mind wondered off to the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie when Will Turner used a wooden prison bench to unhinge and lift free the prison door to Jack Sparrow's cell. Immediately, Anthony imagined himself as the wooden bench... The thought brought upon an uncomforted and worried expression.

The warrior-knight shook the image out of his head and focused on the knife-wielder before him. "Uh...," he began, looking around to room to make sure he was out of earshot of Celia and the Heartless guard. "I'm not sure if I'd be able to do it, but I'd give it a shot if you could assure I, or anyone else, wont end up with a missing eye or a concussion." Anthony was a bit reluctant in his response, given all that had happened, but if there was a shot of them getting out of this cell without anymore casualties he'd take it.

[[Louis : Flying Dutchman : Brig]]

Louis sat on the floor, not budging an inch. His body tensed, the screaming from James' mouth slamming against his ears like broken glass against soft skin, piercing his mind and bleeding out his stability. The Arcanist dragged all of his nails across the floor on his right hand while the other dug into his side, gripping tightly to release stress. Louis retreated into his mind, trying to ignore the events unfolding around him, though in full, it was impossible.

Well, that sucks. Poor James is being tortured. By himself... that's a laugh.

A laugh? I call that a laugh? This is horrible. I need to help him.

Help him? What can I do? I'm powerless as I am now. Our only choice is to wait.

Wait?

Wait for what?

For the right time to strike.

This is the perfect time to strike.

That's right. It's the perfect time to make my move.

Against who?

The Earthlings.

The Replicas.

I can't fight both.

Just look at them. They're all powerless too. Normal humans again. Just let lose... it'll all be over. They can finally be at peace.

But the replicas, they're the definition of pain. They can't be left to cause pointless torture. I need help to be rid of them.

But the replicas are my fault... they are my burden to shoulder.

That's right, they're my creation. The perfect tools of destruction.

The replicas, my greatest mistake.

I wouldn't be in this situation if it wasn't for me.

That's right, if it wasn't for me.

If it wasn't for me.

It's my fault.

All my fault.

My Fault.

Stop it.
Quiet.
Stop.
Shut up!
Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!

"SHUT. UP!" Louis bolted up from his sitting position and stalked over to Jacob. He stopped next to the boy, his arm blurring for a moment and smacking him in the throat with enough force to cut of airflow for several seconds. Louis' leg swept out Jacob's legs from under him, then pinned him to the floor as it raised up and stomped down on his chest.

Louis bent down, not letting off the weight on his foot, "What are you thinking? Hmm? Let me ask you something... where do you think we are? We're on a ship... in the middle of a very large body of water. A ship filled with monsters itching to kill each and EVERY one of us. Second question, where would you go? Try and jump ship like you did before? Maybe you missed it when your head slammed 90 miles per hour into the deck, but that didn't turn out too well. Even if you succeeded, what would you do then? Try and rely on magic? What about that machine? How far do you KNOW it's effect reaches? You could be swimming a VERY long time before you have any HOPE of magic to help you. Then, lets consider you do succeed. You escape. They're not likely to just let all of us run away. They'd chase us down. They'd capture some of us. What then? You know what would happen to them right? They'd be tortured, tortured in ways possibly worse than James just went through... then most likely killed... if they're merciful... which they don't seem the type."

Louis stopped and slid over the boy putting his legs on both sides then jerked him up by his collar to look in his eyes. One eye normal, the other pitch black with a gleaming yellow iris, "Are you willing to carry that burden? Their lives, their sins, their responsibilities, they all become yours to carry. I don't think you understand what that means... every experience, every happy and sad, pleasurable and torturous moment that made them into who they are... all lost... because of something you did. And you'd have to live with that."

Louis pushed Jacob back smacking the back of his head into the floor before standing up, "Now... shut up and stay silent, otherwise I'll silence you myself... permanently."

Louis moved back to his spot against the wall, glancing at Anthony out of his blackened eye before closing it again. he took a deep breath as he sat back down. returning to his stress relief of digging his index finger through the wood.

Jacob ll Brig

Louis caught Jacob by surprise. What was a quiet, curious man that knew how to dance became a very violent monster. His attack caught Jacob, once again, flatfooted and swept him to the ground. To Louis, he had won and silenced Jacob. To Jacob, Louis was off balanced. "AT LEAST I'M TRYING TO THINK OF A WAY TO GET US AWAY. NO YOU BE QUIET." And with that, Jacob jerk his rigid torso and exhaled, causing himself to sink and slide slightly to the side, giving him just enough torque to put his fist right between the Ivalician unprotected junk, filled with pent up nerd rage. He bent his knee did a 180 with his body, and lifted off the ground, slamming his back again, into the man's nether region and flipping him over. Jacob walked casually over to to wall, trying to hide his shaking. "DON'T TOUCH ME. DON'T YOU DARE." Jacob slunk over to the corner and brought his hand up to the back of his head and looked at it. More blood. Lots of it. Jacob slumped down the wall and took his s**t off. Using the shirt as a pillow/compress, he tried to stave off the wound Louis gave him.

[Anthony ~.~ Caribbean Sea ~.~ Brig of the Dutchman]

Anthony was taken back by Louis' sudden fit of rag as he smacked (in the most literal definition of the word) some sense into Jacob. This entire time the warrior-knight had been under the presumption that the Dutchman was still floating beside the Pearl, when it was more probable that they had already sailed deeper into the Caribbean, leaving their vessel behind. Not once had the thought crossed his mind... Even if they had broken free from their prison cell, then what? They had no weapons or abilities and they're obviously outnumbered and outmatched...

Everything that has transpired during these past few days has crippled Anthony's ability to see the bigger picture.

When Louis glared at him, Anthony raised his hands, palms out, about shoulder height and took a step back. "Point taken," he said, lowering his hands. "I'll wait quietly 'til our impending doom." With that, he sat back on the floor.

[ Sora ; Kyle ; Kuja : Caribbean Sea : Brig of the Dutchman ]

"Guys, stop it!" Sora shouted, now turning to face the fighting two, bringing his hands up to his head and pulling at his hair shortly after getting up to his feet. "Look at us! We're attacking one another! Don't you think that's what Ajora wants?!"

"That's exactly what he wants," Kyle said, his tone bored as though he'd stated the obvious, staring at the wall away from it all, still leaning near the bars, still having his arms crossed. "We might as well sit tight and wait it out-"

"And would you stop saying that?! There has to be a way out!" Sora shouted, glaring at Kyle- the only one who, thus far, had remained perfectly calm, perfectly collected, always in control-

"I would have thought of leverage. Would have made sure all the bars were reinforced, made sure the walls were strong enough to take any constant tackling- hell, he even one-uped me and made sure Prote was taken care of," he explained dully, looking over to the Black Waltz Heartless, which seemed to be cackling- Kyle didn't know there could be a Heartless with a voice, Xehanort aside. It's laughter was low, gruff, bestial almost.

"And that's not even bringing up Celia and her partner, Lettie, who is likely still hiding in wait- they were always together," Kyle continued, turning his eyes now to Celia, who'd been leaning against the wall the entire time right next to the Black Waltz, her smile amused- not sadistic or sinister, simply amused.

"So we give up. That's what you guys keep telling me- give up, give up!" Sora growled, throwing his hands into the air. "No! That's not how you win! That's not how you save the world! You don't give up!"

"Touching," came the female voice of none other than Celia. "But the boy's right- Ajora made certain to account for every possibility... except one."

Sora opened his mouth to speak, turning to face the woman with surprise; however, his face became doubly-shocked as he saw, in a deft blur, that she had stomped on something behind the Black Waltz. At the moment her foot connected with the floor, the Black Waltz's chortling stopped- as a matter of fact, the entire creature seemed to stop moving, frozen in position.

"I'll be right back. Don't do anything stupid, hmm~?" she said with a giggle before vanishing in a Corridor of Darkness, leaving the group entirely alone with a Stopped Black Waltz.

For once, Kyle's stone-faced wall seemed to drop. His head was leaned forward, an absolutely bewildered look on his face, his jaw slack and open. "Wh... wha...?"

[[Edited in more in order to get s**t moving.]]

"What the heck was that about? What'd she do?" Sora said, more frustrated than baffled.

"That... Shadowbind, but... why Stop it... she's... wha," Kyle said, now muttering almost incoherently as he looked at the Corridor, which faded away slowly. There was only a few moments of her absence before, suddenly, a Corridor appeared in each of their cells; a third appeared right outside, where Celia appeared again.

"Leads back to the Pearl. We're still docked to it- Beckett wanted to keep it for himself," she said, her voice fluid; sultry, yet rushed. "The winds are in your favor for the moment, and the Pearl is faster than the Dutchman when going with the winds. They won't be able to catch you."

"Why are you-" Sora tried to say, only for her to interrupt him by raising her hand.

"Ajora plans to steal the Trident and start a war between Atlantica and Atlantis, the latter of which lies underneath the former, both of which are just a mile or so from Shipwreck Cove. He has an army of Geists to make sure they will all be distracted while he attempts to steal the Heart of Atlantis," she continued. "And while all of this is going on, he's making sure that Beckett's men will have some of his own allies in order to tip the scales during the inevitable pirate war. You will have to decide who you help and who you don't."

"But James-"

"You cannot save James or Will Turner- not here, not now," she insisted. "You must go! It won't be long before they realize what's going on. You'll have your chance later- the Negator doesn't work underwater, and once at Shipwreck Cove, you'll have enough guns to shoot it out of the sky. Now hurry, you must get on the Pearl and get going! You'll know when you're out of the Negator's range."

"But why?"

"My benefactors would prefer you lot safe and sound," she answered. "Easiest to do that by working with the people who want to hurt you. Now go!"

"Well, it does lead to the Pearl," Sora muttered, having stuck his head in while she spoke, as if dissuading any suspicions.

"Then get me the hell out of here," Kuja sneered, immediately pushing aside Jack and Elizabeth to get into the Corridor, disappearing into the other side.

[[For ease of transition, I just figured the canons would be in one cell and the Earthlings+Sora in the other. And now, finally, on with the damn RP. No one will believe me, but I really do dislike using literary machinas like this entire scene. The villainy, sure, that's great, but if the villains are in character, and they have all these advantages, it's impossible not to make it so there's nothing to do.

ALSO!!! The portals exit out into the INTERIOR of the Pearl. Meaning once through, you should appear below deck!]]

[Joe: Caribbean Sea: Brig of Dutchman]

The fighter crinkled his brow at James. Manipulated by the darkness into a puppet? That's what it seemed like. And Louis and Jacob were fighting. And Dawn was hurt. And...

It was getting to be too much.

Joe leaned forward, head on the bars, and his shoulders shook in a silent, hysterical laughter. If he didn't laugh, he might've cried. But, of course, with Celia doing something almost unthinkable, the male frowned. This was their chance to escape! Get free! Except the male could smell a trap like that. Too easy.

Then with the sudden exposition and a way out, the male stood and turned, leaning against the bars with ragged breath as he stared at the dark portal. It could lead where she said. It could lead to somewhere worse. But that didn't matter. A different area meant different options. He just had to make it over....

That wasn't going to happen. Not without aid.

"I don't care if it leads to someplace worse, or who the benefactors are. Like she'd even tell us. But I'm going. I'm going to stop those damn replicas." The male looked at Kyle, almost expecting a logical argument. Whether he said anything or not, the male gave Kyle a serious look. "Kyle...I know it's stupid, but I'm going to do it. I need to do it.... And I need your help, Kyle. I need you to help me with this...and to help me walk. I don't think I can safely cause of the damn poison. Heh, where's an antidote when you need one?"

[ Kyle ; Sora ; Celia : Caribbean : Brig of the Dutchman ]

Kyle had remained mostly unmoved, but with Sora's confirmation, he'd bitten his lip. Celia was evil. He knew that much, it had to be true. She was a demon under Ultima's control...

... wait, I have Ultima. Wouldn't she have said something?

Okay, so perhaps he wasn't so sure. Were there even demons in this universe, anyway?

Not that Kyle was one to look a gift horse in the mouth.

"What's stupid? Stopping them?" Kyle said, as if confused. He snorted. "No way. I was only telling everyone to shut up because we had no options. Let's get the bloody-@#$% outta here."

Kyle immediately slipped one arm under Joe's and around his shoulders, keeping him steady, before making his way to the portal. "Seriously, as many @#$&#xin;g Heartless as we've killed, you'd think we'd have a dozen by this point. Guess no one chose Lucky Lucky as a perk. Sora, help Jacob up. And you-"

He craned his neck around, eyes narrowed in cautious analyzation at Celia, who was walking back over to her spot, only to glance back at Kyle. He paused, only to turn around and begin walking with Joe again. "Thanks."

Sora, without word or warning, dashed over to get Jacob. "Can you stand? I'm not sure if a potion will even work, but if you need one now..."

[Nick :: Angel Grove :: City Streets]

Nick sighed at the Maester, shaking his head in disappointment. Seymour, the all powerful mage, didn't even have a null magic spell? So...useless. Nick hadn't played any of the Final Fantasy games other than Tactics and the remake they made for the DS, so he didn't know that much about Seymour. He would read the plotlines and watched AMVs to certain cutscenes, so he knew that Seymour tried to marry Yuna and then some blonde kid with a feminine face flew into the rescue.

Just like every JRPG. Predictable.

"Alright, then there's no other option. We have to let them go. But we can always try and get a head start. We'll let Kyla," he pointed to the pictogunner, "stay here with Seymour, who can help with the mana issue to hold the three as long as possible. Everyone else can head out, find whoever we're looking for, and hopefully defeat him before Seymour and Kyla run out of mana and are forced to let them flee. The only downside I see to this is that we'll be without two allies and Seymour, who's magic would definitely help in the battle."

Nick opened the ether, chugging it like he had been in the desert for days without liquid. He held the bottle, then shrugged and threw it into the rubble of a broken building.

"But if we can defeat the big baddie before the three can escape, we should be fine, right? So, we need to decide on something now. The longer we wait, the less time we'll have if we decide to leave them trapped in the bubble."

[Joe: Caribbean Sea: Brig of Dutchman]

Joe stopped walking for a moment when Sora mentioned potion, and winced. Damn, he had forgotten all about what he had been given before all this happened. Then again, when you're raging, some things just don't come to mind.

Reaching into his pocket, the male pulled out one of the mega-potions and threw it against the wall with quite a bit of force, the magic in the bottle encompassing everyone before anyone left through the portal and healing what damage could be healed.

Joe felt less pain, his arm and head feeling better...except his eye still hurt, the skin a tight, scarred mess, still raw looking, and the poison was still draining him. But others should be better, and he continued walking with Kyle.

[Cory .:. Angel Grove .:. Foot of the Volcano]

The ronin dropped the unconscious and bruised Tengu to the ground before dusting off his hands, a satisfied grin on his face as he said, "Alright then, Ooze is on the other side of the volcano. I guess I'll head over there and pay him a little visit."

Cory turned around, about to summon a dark portal when something cause the attention of his nose. A scent, one he'd not particularly smelled before. One that reeked of a darkness of a different sort. The rogue looked over his shoulder at the source of the darkness, strange blue creatures that had only just then began to appear. They were wiry little things, twitchy constantly as they looked back and forth with their thin red eyes. They reminded the ronin of Shadows, only smaller... more agile. It was something, that he, strangely enough, had seen before.

"Unbirths?..."

~

Cory scratched his head before resummoning the Revblade, saying aloud, "Unbirths... I think. They're creatures made of darkness and negative emotions. They were rumored to release in the next Kingdom Hearts game, but it didn't come out before Earth was swallowed. Only thing for sure is that these Unbirths were called 'flood', that they weren't around for any other game..." The rogue fell into stance, his off-hand burning with Indomitable Will as he said, "... And that they are definitely hostiles."

Cory bolted forward as the Flood all did the same, their more agile bodies throwing the rogue off for a moment. He cut down two of the creatures, but two more maneuvered around his attacks and landed a pair of solid blows. Cory grunted in pain before retaliating, but the Unbirths had already retreated outside of Cory's attack radius. "You little shits..."

The rogue darted forward again, more Flood appearing by the second as he slowly became adapted to their tricky fighting style. He weaved in and out of their attacks, striking in blind spots and whenever they were incapable of defending themselves. Swing after swing, Cory destroyed more and more Unbirths- but they kept coming. "You bastards, get the hell out of my sight!" Indomitable Will exploded around Cory as he Resolved himself, the sudden burst of energy bumping back the Flood for a moment. By the time the Unbirths had recomposed themselves, the ronin was gone, high in the air with his Revblade roaring.

"Engine Force!" Cory began swinging the Revblade wildly as crescent-shaped shockwaves rushed at the ground in great numbers, lacerating the unfortunate Unbirths and destroying those that had remained. The rogue landed back on the ground and dismissed the Revblade as he looked around. He had certainly beaten the Unbirths that had shown up, but where they had come from was still a problem.

~

"Because... There was something big that was causing the Unbirths. Something big and dangerous... Dangerous enough to help cause three Keybladers to vanish. It's nothing to worry too much about now, but when the final bosses roll out we're going to be in trouble."

~

"Nothing." The rogue sighed before summoning a dark portal, looking over his shoulder one last time to make sure all of the Unbirths were gone. ... Dammit, I know I saw something about where they came from.... What was it? Cory shook his head and walked through the portal, knowing that they would all find out soon enough anyway.

Sayrike::Brig of the Dutchman

Sweet. The Replicas had gone. Sayrike reached into her pocket, pulling out the potion she had left over. Yes! It was still glowing! Sayrike winced as she looked up, watching Louis slam Jacob to the ground. It seemed like the situation was even getting to him...or maybe it was something else. Thus far, she thought that he'd been fairly calm like her, but it appeared it was not so. Sayrike mentally marked this personality bit down for further use.

A new voice interrupted. The woman---Celia, was it?---surprised them all. It was a reversal of Zexion. Wow, even more awesome. (Honestly, Sayrike was planning on seeing if she could try to bargain later with the Replicas---give one of them a bit of fun by fighting her, and if she was able to land a blow on them then they could go free. Of course she'd pander to their likes and dislikes, picking out someone who wanted a bit of fun, but...it was a plan in its early stages, very possible for the Replicas just to brush her off since she hadn't the proper time to know what to say to try and convince them. But, it was better than throwing shoes or yelling or the like. The worst they could have done was condescendingly insulted her, and at this point in time her pride was the least of her worries.) It looked like fortunes were reversing. Or, if she was going to be a bit pun-y, the tides were turning. She almost chuckled aloud, but this didn't seem to be the right moment.

"C'mon, let's get going," Sayrike said in a hurried, low tone to the other girls, offering a hand to them. The boys seemed up and running. Sayrike gently goaded the other girls before her. It was terrible to see Dawn cry, and she wished she knew her well enough to console her like Noelle was; but she could cry on the Pearl. No need to hang around and sow more reasons for tears; every second was precious, because it was another second the wind was in their favor, another second closer to its turning. Dawn and Noelle were together, so Sayrike pulled up Jenny, giving a small smile. "Let's get the hell out of here, yeah?" Joe used a mega potion before they all left, so Sayrike pocketed hers for another time. She gave one last look back, sadly staring at the place where James had walked off with the Replicas. It felt wrong to leave without him, but there was nothing to do in this instance. Taking Jenny's hand, she walked toward the portal of darkness.

[Drive Form: Kyla > Amy : Angel Grove : Outside the Church]

Time, it seemed, was against the plans being made. Kyla held onto the barrier, waiting to see what the group would say. She felt a tinge of annoyance, mixed with impatience, at everyone, and assumed that came from Amy's influence.

Regardless, it was Kyla who was in control of the Drive. When she was about to voice her opinions, though, she suddenly found that to no longer be true. What felt like a mad rush of wind swept over her, disturbing her clothing and hair; it lasted only a moment, but when it was gone Kyla was a single person again. The barrier she had been controlling was drained of the power needed to sustain it- it disappeared.

Axel, Beatrix, and Yuffie were free. The moment the barrier disappeared, Axel opened a corridor of darkness, and the trio escaped.

Amy could be found lying on the ground, and although she appeared fully conscious, she was obviously overwhelmed. (I couldn't help it, I love that pic. XD)

[Dawn : Caribbean Sea : Brig of the Dutchman]

Dawn tensed momentarily as Noelle wrapped her arms around her. She hadn't expected the feeling of someone's arms around her, it took her a few moments register it in her mind what was going on. After that time passed she closed her arms around Noelle, returning the hug, letting out a small hiss of pain when she moved her left arm. Her eyes closed as all thoughts of stopping the tears disappeared for the time being.

She did jump again as Louis started to yell in the direction of Jacob. She held tighter onto Noelle as she watched as the two brawled. Dawn's eyes glanced over at Noelle from the corner of her eye. She was scared enough at the moment without watching those she was with fighting amongst themselves. A fear that likely showed in her eyes as she looked at the girl.

It wasn't long till the that the woman stood guard over them started to speak. She looked at the woman with uncertainty in her eyes as she offered them the means of escape. Dawn didn't know exactly what to do. She watched as a few of the Earthlings started towards the exit as the potion. The potion helped to relieve most of the pain of her pulled arm. Though her hand still hurt. Despite being healed, she wasn't about to budge.

"No," Dawn said shaking her head at those around her, "I am not leaving. Not without James."

She sat with her hands on her knees, with a look that could only be described as stubborn. Dawn wasn't about to leave. If anyone wanted to force her to go, they'd best be prepared for a fight on their hands.

[ Kyle ; Sora ; Celia : Caribbean : Brig of the Dutchman -> Below Deck on the Pearl ]

As they made their way toward the portal, Kyle stopped just short of it when he heard Dawn's defiance. He rolled his eyes with a low growl in his throat. He then scanned

"Anthony, Louis, what Dawn suggests will either get her killed or ruin this only opportunity to escape," he began, his tone robotic as he remained facing the portal. He was sure Louis had already come to the conclusion... if he hadn't completely snapped. "You two are the only ones in this cell who can 'convince' her at the moment. So you can either leave her or force her along. We don't have time to waste."

Without another word, Kyle stepped (with Joe) through the portal...

---

... and into the Pearl's brig, where a couple of guards laid unconscious on the floor, with the rest of the Pearl's motley crew clamoring at the bars as Kuja let them out with a cold, disgusted glance.

"So close to home free."

---

"Come on, Dawn, don't do this!" Sora asked, turning from Jacob to look at Dawn pleadingly. He didn't want to, but if Anthony or Louis did have to force her, he'd help them out. "We'll get James just like I got Riku- but we can't take them on right now with that machine still messing up our magic! Let's just go!"

{Barbossa, Auron : Caribbean Sea : Brig of the Dutchman -> Pearl's Brig}

Barbossa had remained silent, he would not show that he was affected by the atrocities that the replicas were doing to the Earthlings, in his eyes it didn't involve him at all. Minus the fact that they had insisted on bringing all of them aboard the accursed ship. He had to bide his time for the opportune moment, they would get their chance to escape. The Pirate Lord knew that the moment would always come, and more often than not, when and how everyone least expected it.

Sure enough that moment came when Celia appeared and opened portals of darkness for them to escape from within their cells. Hector did not hesitate as he walked through the portal, a sigh of relief as he found himself below the deck of the Pearl in the brig, right as Kuja was freeing the crew. They had to make way to sail and now!

"Alrighty mates! This be our only chance to escape! Make the ship ready for sail now! The winds be on our side!" He barked at them as they made their way up to the deck and began to get the ship ready.

On the deck, he noticed a pile of weapons- their weapons (sans Heartbound, which had vanished). He picked up his own and restored them to their proper places.

Auron, much the same as Barbossa, had remained silent, deep in meditation as his training as a warrior monk had taught him. His concentration would of course break briefly as the yells of pain resounded from the cells nearby. Of course he was angered by the replicas actions, though he knew he could do nothing about it.

When Celia appeared, offering them their way out he quickly rose to his feet as the portal of darkness opened that would lead to the Pearl.

"We've no time to waste! Let's go!" He called out as he entered the portal.

He would find himself below the deck of the Pearl and would quickly make his way up to the deck where he picked up his katana off of the side of the stairs it was leaning against. He then rushed toward the railing of the ship and brought the massive blade down upon the tow lines that attached the Pearl to the Dutchman. The lines were cut; all that remained were the sails to be unfurled.
