I'd like to know why people think that they have more authority in a village than the kage. The gates of my village were sealed so people wouldn't walk in like if there isn't anyone guarding it, yet that still happens.

Who was it that walked in? If it was anyone but jade, then yea, they shouldnt be allowed to enter. And have you officially been made Tsuchikage yet?

Yes, and Lance already knows I'm Tsuchikage. It was Cobra_X with the help of the newly auto ranked jounin that doesn't seem to follow the Tsuchikage's orders. Not to mention the "controling" of NPCs that they aren't in charge of, the guards.

I assume you're referring to my character who has a standing history with the Iwagakure written into his backstory?
I read your entire post about the gates being sealed, and i respected it and made an RP based solely around the fact that I couldn't get in. had I not had the credentials my backstory granted me, I wouldn't have been able to get in... but what would you have me do instead? Sit there and wait for you?
... I could just as easily STARTED my character off in Iwagakure and it would have made just as much sense, but I wanted to have him approach through the gates as if he had just arrived back home.

I guess a kage's authority stands above a backstory. You may have a backstory but you don't have authority over the guards, who received an order to not let others come in.
You are an academy student and the gate guards are following an order from a higher rank.

That's the only real problem I personally have with your post. It should have been left to the NPC ANBU that were placed there rather than the jounin coming out though. The way it was done leaves it looking as if the ANBU were incompetent, and overlooked the entire thing.

The controling part was mostly about the jounin who ignored the orders and the guards, allowing you to go in the village as if his authority overcomes the kage's
