While I was watching X-men yesterday, I suddenly got the feeling that Professor Xavier was like Martin Luther King Jr. and Magneto corresponded with Malcom X.

Good on you.
So I saw Twilight with a friend who wanted to see it for her birthday. It's not the worst thing I've ever seen. It's a silly teen vampire romance tho. That's all there really is to say about it.

KarmaKitty If you read the books then the movie is torture. I'm so glad to hear this from someone. I know all too many people obsessed with Twilight and believe anything and everything related to it are nothing short of perfection. So to hear there are still sane people out there after they've read these books is refreshing.

They did such a horrible job translating the (already bad) book into a movie if that is really the impression those people got on some of those things. Others, though, totally true:
"I'm just a hollow placeholder for all of the teenage girls in the audience to project their personalities onto."
"Since the whole novel this is based on is just Mormon propaganda for abstinence and bloodsucking is a metaphor for sex, what exactly is this advocating?"
I'm guessing these people don't know about the 4th book then...
