The change in stance would warrant a change in stance. The ancient and mystic 'shake his booty at this guy while listening to a tune inside his own head' stance. It seemed as if this clown did not care if he lived or died by the warrior. He hung his scythe over his right shoulder. Blade-portion on the upside with the blade itself facing outward and little bit above his head. Chu-chu was in his own little world.

Kenji stood as perfectly poised as his initial draw had left him. Rather than charging forwards against the opponent he moved his left hand to his wrist; lowering his stance and turning his waist slightly to bring the blade even further behind him as he dropped into an.

Rather than preparing for the enemy to come while holding a defensive stance, Kenji had instead adopted an
Offensive Stance.

Chu-chu turned and noticed something. A change in stance? It looks like an offensive stance alright. Only for Chu-chu, it looked a bit like this guy was trying to take a s**t. The crazed man chose to take an offensive stance as well. Only it was nothing of the combative sort. It was a slowly walk towards to the other guy while doing another rendition of smartass imitation of this guy's language kind.

The smartass imitation warranted a change in stance earlier. Maybe this time, it will warrant another change in stance in which this guy would actually take a s**t.

Nothing Chu-chu would have said would change the way that Kenji was now, it was only what Chu-chu did that would change it. What he had done was to advance forwards and begin to close the gap that was between the two of them. This made the young swordsman even more resolute in his choice of stance.

With the length of the weapon held over his shoulder, Chu-chu would have an advantage of reach over Kenji; however he would not be able to use this to his full advantage due to the type of the weapon. In the end, Chu-chu would have the advantage of one step.

Thusly, Kenji would hold his prepared stance and wait until Chu-chu was one step outside of his own range.

The smartass imitation apparently wasn't working and it became to Chu-chu that this man needed bigger boobs. There were many ways to go about this. The way Chu-chu chose to start the breast implant procedure was releasing his scythe in the manner that it was being handled by holding it in just his right hand and the opposite end of the blade. Still walking slowly, he lifted it high into the air and brought it down ala golf swing. The blade portion intentionally hitting the ground.

Normally, this would stop a weapon in its tracks with possibly some damage to the ground. However, in this case, the scythe went through the stone of the ground as if it were water. Showing Chu-chu to be strong and that the weapon wasn't an average everyday scythe. The golf swing of the scythe to the ground would send a lot of sand and stone Kenji's way, to possibly blind him temporarily. The maximum distance being Kenji's very position. The attack here being that of a long distance dirty trick. Chu-chu was still plenty out of Kenji's blade range despite the gap closing.

Kenji merely lowered his head. His right shoulder was already past forwards, his body was positioned perpendicular to that of his opponent, and to make any significant movements in response to a little bit of gravel would offset his stance.

As such, he shielded his face behind his right shoulder, and let the chips of stone and sand patter uselessly against his haori. A little bit of gravel never killed anyone, but with his
Offensive Stance unbroken, Kenji's katana was likely to.

(( Please correct me if I am wrong about the science behind this post. I likely am. No strike is being made in this post.))

Chu-chu slowed his approach. Yes, as if it could be any slower. Instead of just another casual golf swing of his scythe, both his hands gripped it and started the motion for a two-handed version of it. What was wrong with this picture was that the strike was started much slower. Apparently, energy was being stored for something big in its release. Even though, the manner Chu-chu was storing potential energy was unlike the usual ways of martial arts.

(( Physics equations:

Acceleration = Change in Speed / Time

Force = Mass x Acceleration

You apply force to a mass in order to accelerate it. Decelerating a mass also requires force. Going slow doesn't have anything to do with 'storing' anything.

Now that's basic understanding... the faster something is going then the more force it has, because in order to stop the same mass you require more deceleration... usually hoped for in the same amount of time. Math says that it's basic multiplication.

Kinetic energy is basically force. Potential energy is basically the potential for force. If you lift something off the ground, you say it has potential energy since it has the potential to fall when it is dropped, thus changing the potential to kinetic. This isn't necessarily related to force, power, whatever you want to call it. Kinetic cannot be stored, because stored is potential. It's just labeling. Like a depressed spring is 'stored potential' that becomes kinetic when the spring is released.

However, unless there's some zany magic involved... going slow isn't going to do anything other than make you go slow. You still need to speed up in order to have 'increased effect', and without crazy magic or rubber band arms it won't happen.

This his been a Bill Nye the Science Guy presentation. Science rules! ))

(( I knew I said something wrong in there. You know how martial artists 'psych themselves up', gather ki, etc. in accordance to the martial arts discipline? I meant to come off as that. Thanks for the explanation, editing right now. ))

The big charge-up was about to be released. This was the moment that might have been waited for. Oh look an imaginary penny. The big wind up was for naught as Chu-chu bent down as if to pick up a penny off the floor, right in the middle of combat. He was really in need for a psychological evaluation.

Chu-chu stood back up. More dust and stone would be sent Kenji's way. This time something odd about the ground would be noticed. An indentation would be in the ground. As if someone had shoved a shovel into the ground, pushed it in, then pulled it out without any scooping motion. The indentation would be a few feet deep at a bit of a angle similar to the angle of the scythe's blade. Chu-chu would then begin moving to the otherwise of the hole in the ground.

Kenji was not so distrusting as to believe that a dirty trick, failed once, would be repeated. Another shower of gravel, but as it was found pointless before it made no sense that one would try the same thing again. There were two possibilities: the first was that this ploy was merely a cover for something else; the second was that there was more to this than there had been to the other.

Regardless of the motive, the result would be the same. The young youjimbou would leap backwards two feet; far enough to stray from the path of the majority of the debris. He would land in a half-crouched stance, just as he had been, with his feet nearly positioned exactly as they had been. All said, the maneuver cost him half a second from his stance. He would be recovered before Chu-chu would cross his own hole at the pace the clown had been moving.

Oh boy. The clown got the man to be possibly scared of a little stone and sand. Surely, such a great warrior wouldn't have need to be as such. Anyways, the action was somewhat repeated as before. More stone and sand being sent Kenji's way, with new distance being taken into account so that both would still aim as good as before. Now in regards 'the hole'. Now a large piece of ground was slightly inward the ground with a circle of space from the scythe's strike. Like a bucket inside a well. While Kenji would be dealing with stone and sand, Chu-chu would be bending down to start to tilt the piece of ground upwards a bit. As if something was beneath it.
