Netsubo concentrated on the souls. They did all look exactly the same, but there had to be some way to figure out Faust's...

Lucifer chewed on his cigar, his eyes glowing red. "White," he repeated grudgingly, sweeping the other souls away with his hand until the little white orb was alone in his palm. "How did you know?"
Mephisto grinned broadly. "Wow... you didn't even need all three guesses, did you?"

It looked like it hurt him... or, at least, his pride, as Lucifer held the soul towards Netsubo. "Fine... here, take it. What's one soul to someone like me, anyway?"
"It's white, Dad. Only one of those we've ever had the pleasure of hosting. Sorry about that," Mephisto said sympathetically.

Netsubo gently took the soul. It was pure white. Just like Faust normally seemed to be, pure...
((how does she get the soul inside Faust's body?))

Yuki looked slightly guilty. White? That meant pure... and it made him doubt his own soul. "I'm sorry," he mumbled to Faust, staring at his feet.
Faust blinked. "For what?" he already felt the pull towards his soul, the part of him that made him... well, him.
"For being so wrong about you," Yuki said softly.
