Bakura gave Rei a slightly suspicious look, then shifted his weight slightly. "Huh. I hope she don't die."

Rei rubbed femi's little head "She's a strong girl in sure she wont." Femi whimpered trying to pull close to bakura. Rei gently picked her up and set her on bakuras lap carfuly watching them. Femi cooed nuzzling into his chest.

[Should I give them some time to settle or should I send the pharaoh's men?]
Bakura awkwardly held the child, looking a bit uncomfortable. A shadow fell over the two-- well, four-- of them, and Bakura squinted up. A young man stood there, browned from the sun, bald. Bakura watched as this person sat down on his other side. "You should be working. Mama says--" "Ah, what yer mother doesn't know won't hurt her, 'Kura." The young man said, ruffling Bakura's pale hair and peering down at the baby in his arms. "Besides, look what happens when I do leave. You end up with kids." He looked over at Rei, grinning at her. "You his wife? I'm his cousin. Or something like that." He was in his late teens; considered an adult in these times.

Rei let out a small chuckle as she picked femi back up. Femi let out a loud wine not wanting to leave bakuras lap "Its nice to meet you..."
((give um time I want bakura to start to like rei so he'll trust her when she saves him.))

"Bari. It's my name." The young man nodded, then leaned backwards, closing his eyes. To Rei, he said, "Hey. You hear about how we're about to be in war with those other kingdoms, right? A lot of people are worried about that. They got a right to be. War is a bad time for everyone, especially people like us here in Kul Elna, where we have to travel at least a day to get to the Nile. War will mean troops coming through." He put an arm around Bakura's shoulders. Bakura acted like a modern-day teenager getting a big smooch from a mother in a crowded place. He squirmed and tried to get out from under Bari's arm, trying not to show that he appreciated it. "Well, I'm just sayin' it's not safe here. I'm gonna leave as soon as I can get a camel cheap enough. My wife just died, so there's nothin' keeping me to this village any more."

"Ah, Im rei" rei said and listened. "Yes war is a terable thing." rei said putting kek and femi back in the pouch. "But somtimes people never learn."

"You want to come with me, Bakura? I'm sure your mother wouldn't mind." Bari ruffled Bakura's hair again. Bakura glared and pouted at the same time. "Heh, maybe not. Yeah, you've got your life to live first." He got up, shaking dust off of his clothes. "Well, Rei, it was nice to meet you. Make sure Bakura doesn't get into trouble, would you?" Bakura watched as Bari walked off. He sniffed slightly. "Mama says he's mad. She doesn't want me near him."

"He has stupid ideas." Bakura flicked a bug off of his knee. He shook his head viciously when Rei was done, messing it again.

Rei laughed as he shook his head. "Well its almost meal time. Where would you be living?" she asked. She scooped him up and put him on her shoulders so he could see above everything "you lead the way"

Bakura let out a squeal much unlike his future self, clinging to Rei's head. "Oh, I--" He had to wait a moment to get steady. "Uh... it's there." He gestured helplessly at his house.

"Alright" she said hanging onto his legs so he wouldent fall. She walked twards his house taking her time so he could look around from up there.

Bakura busied himself with Rei's hair instead, hardly paying attention to his surroundings. He seemed to be wiping something onto her hair.
