I'm not sure where he would fit into "dark" from that. I mean, the way he's presented from godchecker, the worst I could draw from it was that he's a bit of a wild-card - not a point on any moral compass, but rather, whirring around it in a haze for the fun of it.

lioness of midnight Okay so for a minute you all had me thinking that maybe I was misinformed on Loki being a not so nice deity. So I decided to check into it and realized that I was originally right. LOKI: God of Hokey Pokey and one of the world's major Trickster Gods. In his early days LOKI was a rascal; crafty, sneaky, silly and malicious — a Loki The Lad. The son of two Giants, he was so outrageously mischievous that he even sneaked his way into becoming a God. He was the first Anti-Hero, quick-witting his way out of the tight corners and confrontations caused by his misdeeds. But as time wore on he became increasingly nasty. What's wrong with being the son of two Jotnar? Hell, most of the Gods are the child of at least one Jotnar. Though this is doubtful, since Loki is Odin's brother, and Borr isn't considered to be a Jotun generally, though Bestla is. I guess you could claim half parentage. Quote: His first escapade was a very rampant romp. When the Gods were struggling to build ASGARD, they found they'd run out of funds. Which is not surprising as money and banks hadn't been invented yet. All the basic construction had been completed but they needed a large protective wall to keep the riff-raff out. LOKI came up with the plan of contracting a Giant to do the job. As payment, the Giant asked for the Sun and Moon and also the Goddess FREYA if the work was completed to schedule. The Gods were not too sure. "Don't worry," advised LOKI. "He'll never manage it on his own, even if he works night and day — and the deal will be off. We'll let him keep the wheelbarrow or something." Can I get an actual citation on them running out of money? Because in the Gylfaginning, it says that an unnamed giant came by and boasted he could build the best wall around, and would do it in exchange for Freyja, the Sun and Moon, and the Gods finally agreed, but he had build it within three seasons and with the help of no man. The only reason why Loki get's dragged into this is because he's the one who said that he should be allowed to use the horse at least, so by virtue of that, he had to be the one to fix it. Quote: LOKI was now well in with top God ODIN and his son THOR, with whom he shared numerous adventures. THOR, the perfect fall guy, was persuaded to appear in drag as the prospective bride of a giant and other embarrassments. THOR could always be relied on to supply the muscle when corners became too tight for trickery. You know, it's really ******** offensive that this site portrays Thorr as a dumb s**t. The man was willing to suffer ergi to ensure the safety of a kinswoman. I don't see what's stupid about that. I see why it's embarrassing, but honestly saying that he didn't know that he would be mocked for this is ******** stupid. Is he the smartest God around? No, but he's not the huge ******** idiot this points him out as. I mean, Thorr tricked a damned dwarf into turning into stone, and he did it on wits, not strength. He is not the perfect fall guy. He is a God. Quote: LOKI had many run-ins with the dwarves, which he cheated at any opportunity until they stitched him up. Literally. They stitched his mouth shut, which kept him quiet for quite some time. You say that like he didn't cheat them afterwards. It was just the three (I believe) that sewed his mouth shut. Maybe just one, can't recall at the moment. Quote: LOKI never missed an opportunity to take advantage of any Goddess, despite already having had three wives. The first not many folk know about, and it is only by assiduous research we have discovered GLUT, who bore two daughters EINMYRIA and EISA. In the Saga of Thorstein Viking's son, Eisa and Eimyrja are said to be the daughters of Halogi son of Fyjornot, with Glodh being his wife. Are you saying Halogi is Loki? Quote: This current selection is from www.godchecker.com however there are quite a few other places I can reference to go back to the same point. Here's a good one that counters it, and moreover, it cites primary evidence: Top Ten Misconceptions About Loki

lioness of midnight Recursive Paradox Do you not know what Light is either? Or how that balancing spectrum works? I do, and you seem smart enough that I don't have to explain it to you. Funny, that sounds awfully like a cop out and a complete lack of comprehension of why I asked the damn question. Here, maybe a clue by four will help you: TeaDidikai Poe is thinking there is a breakdown in your cosmology. If you explain it to her, she might be able to use terms you are familiar with to explain herself to you.
