....Big demonic grin. Its what I've always imagined! WW1 tactics, WW3 infantry weapons! Ten thousand on that side, same on the opposite side, both firing for a time. Then, the order is given, and both sides just fsckin' charge each other, guns going full auto and a couple artillery shells pelt the area!
My defenses are going to be damn near impenatrable! Hmhmhmwahahaha!!!

Only, that is not how they used to fight in the trenches back then. War of attrition and all that posh. One side sits back and takes on the charge from the other side with massed fire from chuggers and lobbers. And trenches can be really vulnerable to deep striking elements [ Eben Emael] and classic blitzkrieg tactics spearheaded by strong armour [ 1939-1942].

Still, trenches are wonderful if your opponent has no access to elements that can out-march your lines or lacks the capability or skill to carry out a proper combined arms assaults.
And Mutter is undeniable genius. I don't think there is a single song on there that I don't enjoy, and Spieluhr remains as one of my all-time favorite songs. However, I disagree with you on Rosenrot. You see, I don't enjoy Spring too much due to how incredibly slow it is. Good beat, but the repeative concussion just slows me down. However, Feuer und Wasser is a favorite of mind due to how it builds up to an truly epic finish. Hell, you can feel the strength of the lyrics and Till's passion in them. Besides Spring, Ein Lied is the only other song I skip. Reise, Reise is just overall goodness except for how I'm forced to listen to the damn flight recording at the start of the first track every time.
Oh. Um. Space Marines.
I'm just not a fan of the Marines. Give me a fellow with an autogun and a desire to get out of the mess he is in alive, and I'm happy. That, and my first 40k experiences were rather negative in relation to Space Marines, since my comrade thought it would be funny to gimp me over with his Power-Armored buggers.
And the strips of Kreig infantry are sweet.

Oh, the trenches, not the hispanic whores. wink And whoever was having problems with the Krieg Grenadiers, I feel your pain. I was about to kill something trying to link up one of those cables from their backpack to their gun...

Oh my f***ing god! Finally someone knows what I'm talking about! I broke one of them and couldn't fix it so one of them now has a bent paper clip in its place. And half of them have 'improvised armour' over one of the places where it connects where I shaved a piece of plastic off the sprew and glued it in place to keep it in place. I hate those damn cables so much!

The trick with resin bits is to put them in warm - but not too hot! - water for a short bit and then gently bend it into shape and place. The material becomes easier to use and less likely to snap.

And the strips of Kreig infantry are sweet. Seems we only disagree then on Rosenrot and agree on all other Rammstein albums (though weve discussed only three really).
Ein leid isnt bad, but i have to be in a certain mood to hear it. As far as Feuer und Wasser is concerned, I just find the lyrics bland. A better example is Mann Gegan Mann, I really love the force of it, the chant quality, but the lyrics are even more simplistic than Feuer und wasser's. As for spring, there are slower songs on there, so any reason you single it out? Especially when you sight 'build up' for another song.
Concerning marines, Id say try not to let the way someone used the army ruin it for you. I hade very similar experiences starting off, and due to that hated marines for quite some time. I know pretty much like any army, I cant think of any off the top of my head other than an all Sisters force of witch hunters that i dont like.

Reddemon Anyone got any good tactics for a AC besides open fire? Flanking an enemy force with all guns blazing works pretty well.

Reddemon Anyone got any good tactics for a AC besides open fire? Bounding vechiles. Operate with you tanks in teams of 2, move one 6 and one 12. This wrks really well in Demolisher / Exterminator combos which gives you the best range of options with which to kill your enemy. Basalisk Support. A basalisk or better 2 operating from table edges or hidden postions can deal out serious hurt to large infatry formation and possibly pin them. Dont use some of the forge world tanks, the Destoryer Excutioner and Salamander may look cool but in all my gaes I havent found I time that they would have been usefull. Use a wide range of tanks Vaquisher excel at Destroying Enemy Armour, Demolishers for seige, Basalisks for long range bombardment, exterminators for troops, even the assorted chimera full of storm troopers comes in handy from time to time

Mat sorry kay but I have to do it Check out these sweet models in the kreig line http://gamesday.us.games-workshop.com/GamesDay2007/atlanta_coverege/fw/ Dude, I just fell in love with those Heavy Tanks! Damn Forge World and their way to expensive but damned pretty tanks and infantry! Can't they just stop torturing us financially less capable players? I mean, c'mon, with that new Krieg line AND the Renegades AND those new trenches!? I might have to sell a kidney just to stop myself from doing something illegal to get enough money to buy all the stuff I want...
