Selene turned and went into the house without a word. She would leave the boy to his own devises for now.
Talon turned to Cayden. "I don't think she liked that response. Why don't you go ask Kaida and Kale for their opinion on a new name." he suggested, noticing that Cayden had his fangs back now.
Kale noticed Selene as she came in quietly, unaware of what was going on outside and obviously even the fact that they had returned even passed his observations. He hated himself for putting him and Kaida in the postion for possibly being attacked while he was unobservant.

Cayden looked down, licking over his new fangs greedily. He nodded silently, wishing he would somehow made her proud. He would, he would. Silently he walked into the house. Within a few minutes he recounted what happened and asked for a new name, but Kaida had other things on her mind.
'Should we let him?' She asked Kale within her mind, not thinking about the name.

Talon went in and went up to his room to rest. He laid out the training for the boy, having planned for the boys future long ago. Now he just has to accept it and live through it. He, himself, had no idea what swordplay was all about, but what he did know, is that the training for it was harsh back in the day, and since Selene was from the Samurai age, it would be just as harsh for the boy.
Kale glanced at her. 'Like we can keep him from learning to fight and defend himself?'
Selene was in the backyard, sitting in the cool grass with no shoes, meditating.

Cayden listened as Kaida spoke, telling him it was okay. "As for the name." She said, "Tell her...Deuce, as in Devil. Or Donovan, as in dark warrior. Perhaps she will accept those."
Cayden nodded and went out in the grass next to her. He sat down in front od her, maybe ten feet away. "My name," He said quietly. "Can be, Donovan." He the said, liking that better then Deuce. but to respect his mother, he added, "Or pehaps Deuce." He looked down at his hands, not wanting to look Selene in the eye. He just hoped she'd pick this time.

Selene didn't open her eyes. "I cannot make your choice for you boy. That is your first lesson. Donovan, my baka deshi (idiot apprentice). Your training will begin as soon as Talon performs his spell, then the next day will begin at 5 am for you to start training." she stated, then went quiet returning to her meditation.

Cayden then nodded, standing silently and making his way back to the house. He gently tapped on Talon's door, wishing not another person to be mad at him.

Talon opened the door, a puff of smoke behind him. "Oh, hi...um...I'm just preparing the potion. Why don't you wrestle Kale or something? I'll get you when I'm done." He smiled in assurance.

Cayden blinked in surprise, but nodded and left. Wrestle Kale? He had to be kidding. Instead, Cayden sat on the couch then, reviewing what had happened in his mind.

Talon worked on the potion for a good 6 hours, explosions being heard every now and then along with the occational fire alarm which quickly stopped after Talon put out the fire.
Kale groaned from his perch on a chair. "That guy is going to be the death of me whether by setting off fire alarms to blow my ears out to death or by the fires he keeps starting..." he shoved two pillows onto his ears and shoved his head under the chair cushin in the living room, in an attempt to hide from the disaster upstairs. He didn't really care how stupid he looked at his point.

Coming downstairs, Kaida went over by Kale, rubbing his back lightly. 'Kale, honey, what's wrong?' She asked softly.
Cayden was outside, lying on the grass and looking at the now forming stars.

'Don't tell me you're not bothered by the noises?' Kale questioned in disbelief, not moving from his spot.
Selene hadn't moved for 5 of the 6 hours, but then she had finally opened her eyes having finished her meditating. "Talon still not finished?"

Cayden shook his head. "He said when he's ready he'll get me." He answered.
Kaida sighed, "Yes, but I am trying to ignore it.."

'At least you were born in this era where you got used to such a shrill sound...it's painful and annoying to my ears." Kale groaned as once again, the fire alarm went off as an even bigger blast erupted from Talons room.
Talon smirked as he picked up two small bottles. He'd done it, made the two potions, one to restart time for the vampire boy so he could grow, the other to stop his time when he became a man. He looked at himself in the mirror and groaned in disbelief at his dishelved hair and messy clothes.
