Kaito blinked, "Actually, I was going to find out all I could about this ship, then I'd try to leave it... Unless some other piece of Pyresian tech falls in front of me... I'm not going to stay with Jad... The man is obviously insane."

Shina was upside down in the hangar, her tail gripping a tool as she hung bh her legs on a pipe, banging on some metal piece of something on the ship with a wrench. The girl apparently didn't believe in hammers... or something. She smacked it hard and a spurt of oil sprayed her in the face. She frantically tightened the pie in another area and trhe spray stopped.

Rin and Ren carried the damaged Ion to Dr. Len.

"I think Dr. Len should replace his midsection with something less... matching..." Rin said.

"I wouldn't mind if he used the parts to make a less idiotic unit..." Ren said quietly.

"We should toss him in the garbage compactor... it'd save a future enemy the trouble..."

"Garbage compactor... then incinerator?"

"Why waste the metal? We should smelt him into a new chair for the doctor..."

(actually, they do wish him harm...)

Rin and Ren blinked into existance in Len's lab. The doctor looked up as Rin spat out the news, "Ion's turned into an enemy!"

Len sighed, removing a small device, "I hate it when this thing happens... Dr. Erin used to love it though... When he comes within range, this will light up for his non-circumventable self-destruct. After the button's pressed, there will be no way to stop the process..."

"Doctor, why would you have one of those?" Ren asked

"I built one for every unit I've made, minus Miku..." Dr. Len said quietly, "No exceptions since the first unit..."

"What makes Miku different?" Rin asked.

"Miku was a human, Rin. She was nearly killed..."

The dragon stopped speaking for a moment, as if calculating something. It made a little chirping sound as something inside switched around, then tried a second attempt to communicate. "Start up successful, most systems unharmed, current location: unknown. Out of range, lost signals." It explained to Layla, it's voice was flat and tone-less. "New leadership authorized due to loss of original signal, target shall now be able to give direct commands. Input information?" A panel on the dragon's side opened up, revealing a monitor and a small keypad, ready for Layla's use.


Layla just watched the machine for a long while, then slowly tried to approach it. The dragon just sat patiently, not even acting like it wanted to attack. She reached towards the monitor, the screen displayed various data on the dragon's weapons, structure, and functions. Up in the far corner of the screen was the name "Armagedas" written -presumably this robot's name. Layla entered the data it requested, then stepped back in front of the dragon after she was finished. "So...Armagedas? Who built you? Where were you created?"

"Data unknown...all records were erased in the last shutdown. Previous owner was Victor Amosso. Leadership privilege has been transferred to Layla Wakemen." Armagedas replied, it's speech patterns were a bit choppy, though, English probably wasn't it's default language. The giant robot stood up again, a golden glyph started to form in between it's metallic wings, a weapon of some sort, apparently. "Threats detected above ground level, neutralization required. All targets seem biological, weapons must be destroyed, conflict must be ended." The glyph on Armagedas' back glowed brightly, then shot off an incredibly concentrated beam of golden energy at the cavern's ceiling, Armagedas leaped out the gaping hole immediately, leaving the clueless Layla behind.

'That wasn't an electrical charge Armagedas used to fire it's weapon, that was Novias energy...pure and raw Novias energy. But how? How could someone create a machine to use that power without the advanced technology we have now?'

((On Armagedas's data screen it displayed the year it was built, a few thousand years ago, to be exact. Thats why Layla was so surprised, because not even MAI or Rosa have been built to use Novias energy.))
