I just so happened to have some comics to keep me occupied.
*Clears throat and puts on his journalist face*
So tell me, why Wally West?

Wow, me too. What are the chances? So there aren't any deep, emotional reasons behind it? Like maybe you've always felt that deep down inside you've always been a red haired, freckled spaz?

No, that's my brother. Actually, I've been collecting the Flash comics ever since issue #46. Originally, this account was named "Mistah Sandman", and I registered it so I could have a male account to make avatar edits with. When we had Clark~Kent, Bruce_Wayne and Kyle_Rayner on the boards, I decided to change the name to fit the trend and picked my favorite male hero, which is the Flash.

Linda Park West * grabs a beer and sits next to Robert* Here's to boredom, eh Linda? Let's hope Wally is as fast at interviewing as he is at everything else.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but the Flash hasn't exactly been having a good run of it lately, has he?

Spider_Jerusalem Correct me if I'm wrong here, but the Flash hasn't exactly been having a good run of it lately, has he? Let's put it this way. My great uncle Bob was a huge comic collector in the 60's, 70's, and 80's, until he read "Batman: Year One." He promptly threw it against the wall and never bought Batman again. I read the Flash, issue #200, threw it against the wall and stopped buying the Flash for 8 months till my brother asked me to start buying it for him again.

Was there anything in particular in that issue that got to you or was it the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back?

Spider_Jerusalem Was there anything in particular in that issue that got to you or was it the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back? Three things. 1) Linda Park was made pregnant SOLEY so there'd be someone non-incidental to kill off in the 200th issue, that being her unborn twins. In reality, their death doesn't change Wally in any way other then now he's got a heaping helping of angstburger. 2) Deux Ex Hal. Johns can't figure out how to write Wally like he is anymore, so instead of thinking of a reason for Wally to get a job, like Waid did, or coming up with a new direction to go in, he just shits on the last 200 issues of continuity and wipes 'em out. 3) Barry Allen is tooling around on the Cosmic Treadmill just before going off to die in the Crisis...for KICKS?! WTF!!!!!!
