It was a magic battle.

And I dropped you into a 10 foot hole.

And why does my foot hurt?

Where am I?

I'm hungry.

>> I said minor magic. I was using a paladin whose only magic was minor buffs and very brief flashes of light.

You could cause the whole building to collapse.

I could?

Because I definately don't remember bringing anything that powerful to that fight.

Oh well. It's over and done now, can we forget this?

150 square feet around the paladin, plus it crashed down support beams.

Lolololol, DT.

Judge that was yelling at the players?

Me.

I wasn't here for the first bit of the profile judging, so a LOT of stupid s**t got in that wasn't under my watch. Unlike my fellow judges, though, I am 90% likely to say "******** off" when someone says "OH! Teehee, I forgot to list my entire spell list in my profile! Can I put it in now?" This is not some sort of blown up scenario - it has happened at least ONCE.

Now, onto Kamiha's woes.

Yes, I ripped into your damn fight. You're lucky I did try and make it slightly more funny in my own way, as it kept me sane and made the process easier. You try and grade Rock Fist fights and not try to do anything to keep your sanity. Anywho. Your fight was starting off well, but it quickly turned into s**t when you started the wing thing. Judges tried to compromise as someone was stupid and let it in as-is. From what I heard, you blew the ******** up on them over it, which is a damn big no-no, and it wasn't even that huge of a change. I also saw you complain about the judges not letting you overpower Vincent. You bring up the fact she's an Elvaan or some s**t. I don't care if your character is a 1 million year old "Chaos Demon" (I'm looking at you, Sorlamain), if you don't list something in your profile, it's not there. So, even if your character's petite frame can juggle Lincoln Navigators, it will have the actual strength of some 120lbs chick if enhanced strength isn't listened.

Oh, and you saw the comments on how I got onto Vince too, so don't act like I was beating the s**t out of your team exclusively. The tail thing was bullshit and should have not blocked the mace strike at all beyond it acting like a slightly padded, squishy pillow. Probably less, even, since dragon tails aren't prehensile, in that only the extreme tip of the thing would be able to be in the way of that blow. You also were far more dominant than Vince and - until you started doing stupid s**t like getting bodyslammed by him into concrete when he weighed nearly 300lbs and ignored it - were rp'ing better than him.

As for your teammates? The first one DID rage quit. He said so himself, as he was upset at how your fight was going and left with deliciously bitter tears instead of, oh, I don't know, kicking the s**t out of his opponent and ensuring that your potential loss might be negated? And then there was Bustah, who had the bright idea of disappear for a week with no notice at all. Turns out he was playing WoW the entire time. So yea, disqualification. No need to actually read those fights since they'd be a waste of time - time that the other, motivated DT entrants want/need.

For those who are still in the DT, and those who I have judged before in it: you leave me no choice BUT to be harsh. If you actually read the comments, I hit on good points and rip into bad ones. Unless you did ENTIRELY stupid s**t throughout a fight, I will compliment you on whatever you did good. It's just that people have been doing overwhelmingly stupid s**t in this tournament so far. And, with the advent of its recent OOC ********, is even making HoH 09 look like a bastion of orderliness and level heads. I am NOT pleased with any of the s**t that has happened OOC and IC, but I'm going to keep doing my job until the thing ends. And, unless s**t changes, people are still going to get ripped the ******** into until they get it into their heads that "Hey, maybe I shouldn't be doing stuff like this in arr-pee land."

So thurr.

So in short you made a few incorrect assumptions and simply thought it'd be cute to act like a jerk about it.

I didn't blow up on the judges over it, Koto sent me the message and I tried to compromise something that was a bit more fair.

I explained the racial thing Koto, she was familiar with it, she said it'd go through. Koto was telling me a lot of things, I guess I was right to question if they would hold through. I didn't think it necessary to list out every single obvious detail when the person who's running the thing stated they understood. Would a vampire need to list enhanced strength?

And then you went on to say how I ignored certain attacks, attacks that never happened to begin i.e being slammed. He never body slammed me, and after reading the comments I reread the fight and still couldn't find it. Hell, that wasn't even an issue that was brought up between us, and if I had simply ignored it he would said something. How can he slam someone into the ground when their legs are wrapped around them, and it was specifically written that the legs were not being wrapped around his form until after they were on the ground...?

Quote:
she would let her body roll back easily and bring the large dragon down with her. The clanging of her armor hitting the ground not a bothering sound. On her back her legs would reach up and wrap around the wide form of the dragon and connect near the ankles.

Quote:
Except, this hold that Claire had Vince in left him in a better position, because even though she had her legs wrapped around him, the fact of the matter was that he was still going to slam her into the ground.

When I can slam someone into the ground when they're already on the ground, let me know.

He quit because he was upset with his fight more so than my own. He felt that the gravity issue was being abused and didn't see any prospect of anything being done about it.

But whatever, you're free to your interpretation of what was happening, even if you might have been a bit misinformed.

Well, an apparently big issue was the fact I like to micromanage or some s**t and pay attention to some of the smallest details in word choice, word order, etc.

I guess I should look at the "big picture" regardless of a detail that's not even a full sentence long is a critical part to determining what should be done.

Not like it changes anything, but it's fair to assume someone should be accountable for making a mistake instead of acting like they knew everything that was going on.

As much as I like Koto and Kuwabara and the other judges, they are far too lackadaisical when it comes to judging. I'll talk to Koto about that, but EVERYONE needs to ******** put every detail in their profile. I don't care that this is a tournament filled with all sorts of nasty beings - everything needs to be detailed. You mentioned that why should a vampire bother listing enhanced stats when it is innate to them? So, I'm gonna go enter Marvel Dracula and not list his physical stats, which are sufficient enough to allow him to tangle with the ******** Silver Surfer. So no, you do not get a free pass, even if your race was as ******** common as they could get. If you do not have it in your profile, YOU DO NOT GET IT. People continue to think the contrary and start pulling s**t out of their asses and it has happened constantly in this tournament. I'm not going to stand for it.

And, as for the slam...

It might not be a FULL body pick up and slam, but he was charging at you. You went for the frontal head lock and was driven into the ground as your weight carried him down. He had enough momentum to jab spikes into your shoulder, so that would be nearly 300lbs of dragon person driving you into the ground. Since we've already established that as far as my judging is concerned, your character is as strong and durable as a highly-trained low 100lbs-something female, you would have to be ******** nuts to think you would get a frontal head lock on something as large as Vince's dragon form and HOLD ON TO IT WHILE GETTING DRIVEN INTO CONCRETE. A frontal head lock is extremely difficult to pull off, especially when taking the size difference into consideration.

And yes, your other teammate quit. I could have been nicer about it, but instead of trying to stick it out or go with the flow and let the judges see the discrepancy, he gave up and left. Contrary to popular belief, there have been people who have actually WON their fights (KO) and still have lost via points - see Gold vs. Vince. If your teammate had been dealing with a BS opponent, I would have seen it and would have slapped him down hard. And don't even try and excuse Bustah.

I can't excuse Dave for the simple reason I can't reach him 80% of the time. He told me he was on a camping trip at some point, I relayed that to other team, so I can't say for sure what he was doing.

And as for Crow, I asked him to stick it out and then he stopped logging onto MSN so not much I could do there. I understood why he felt the way he did.

But regarding the whole tackle, you stop the momentum of the tackle before going to the ground, before even applying the choke. That was one of the first things in the post I mentioned, but maybe I should have better explained what I meant about tendency to sprawl and such. Either way it was going, the tackle wasn't going to be the force to place her on her back.

So being driven into the concrete by the tackle? No. The size difference isn't such a big issue when he's leveled to a point lower than her actual height. Simply ignoring and pretty much saying my character can't do something, when it very well was in range of possibility and was discussed when I was supposedly flipping out on all of the judges about the wings. And the whole spike thing, the majority of them would have missed anyway since the spikes started like 6" from his neck and were at like 2" intervals.

But the point really is that is it really worth trying to make "lulz" with out considering there might be a mistake on your part? Simply insulting someone because of a mistake and defacing them isn't good at all, and it doesn't help people understand or agree with whatever points you have to make simply because people don't like being treated like they're worth nothing.

You misunderstand me. There aren't any "lulz" to be had. The DT's antics have been pissing me off, but I'm obligated to see it through to the end. I get pissy at people because the other judges are far too nice and being too nice will not get anyone to learn something, so I have to pick up the slack.

Dave should have told the judges or posted something. He also made the mention of too busy with RL (playing WoW) in either the DT or GTB OOC recently, so that calls into question his absence.

Your other friend was entirely allowed to leave for whatever reason - just don't get upset that I gave his opponent the win for not sticking it out. Hell, your team might have WON if he had stuck through, as Darth/Bustah was pretty much ungradeable and your fight was close'ish (hell, if YOU had stuck through and resolved the clawing problem by, say, taking a partial hit and rolling away, leaving Vince freed but gasping on the floor with uncompressing carotid arteries and throat and thus still an easy target). Kind of paints a shitty picture on it now, doesn't it?

Once again, you're assuming your character is as strong as Vincent's. You're also ignoring physics. Unless your character dug her feet into the ground so hard that it was digging right through the concrete, your character would not have been able to stop a full blown tackle from someone who is nearly 2 meters in height and nearly weighs 300lbs. That's Linebacker territory there, and you can talk to Darth on how ******** HARD football players can tackle. Even if your character had the strength, she was still far lighter and would have been trampled/knocked aside, as she still only weighs 120 or so pounds. And, because your character didn't have such things listed, then its far worse. The spikes were simply mentioned that if they had enough momentum to pierce through your armor in the event they might have hit, then that impact would have at VERY LEAST knocked the wind out of her.

s**t, if you had tripped him up, slid around, mounted from behind and went for an RNC, that'd have worked just fine, even if your character didn't have enhanced abilities! But, you tried to take the overpowering route against a character who was almost entirely melee/brute focused with some magic thrown in, whereas your character came off as 50/50 melee/magic. That doesn't fly, especially when your character is that small in comparison to Vince.
