The most underrated class is Oracle however. If you can make it so that the enemy can't even ATTACK, then you've won the battle. Most people don't take an Oracle, because they don't directly do much damage. They don't realize how much stats and status effects are worth in battle.

I had an oracle once...but I really don't like them.
My main job class for myself is Samurai. I love the draw out spells. They are so useful. Then Cid's main is Lancer of course. Glen's is going to be Black Mage and when June gets better faith she'll be a White Mage. I made them master all their main jobs first and now I'm just getting them more abilities. mrgreen

I abused the item duplication trick severely. A team of ninjas may not be the best, but when they're females with the Chantage and Angel Ring equipped and they're throwing crazy-expensive swords, even the boss battles are cake and pie.
I also spent hours early in the game just sitting around one enemy and alternately healing and hitting it. I'd keep the poor enemy alive for twenty minutes, racking up experience points so that I could master every job I wanted while I was still in Chapter 1. *lol*

Usually if I've got an enemy on it's knees, I'll go after it with one character, and the others will try to attack each other (if they can...everyone's got blade grasp so I doubt any exp will be accumulated). Yeah...it shows when you're bored.
*wants to play now* crying

I'd need to be a fighter who can also heal. I'm always the healer of my party, because all the bois are silly and stupid when they're MMOing. Hopefully Gaia fighters will be able to learn heal skills, or else I'll have to be a priestess...

Miri, maybe you can hope for a Paladin class. Like the holy warrior type, not the defensive warrior type. Paladins in Dungeons and Dragons are Holy Warriors that learn basic evil smiting and healing skills. Of course, if they've turned evil, then they become fallen Paladins. They instead get good smiting powers and hurt spells. :D
