Electabuzz seemed to share Shocker's enthusiasm about finishing the battle, but at the same time, knowing it was his fault that Hiro was in such critical condition. Instead of saying anything, however, the prideful Electric-type stood next to his trainer, waiting to see what would happen next.
"Uh, well..." Surge started, not really sure how to respond to the ambitious Raichu. He too wanted to finish the rematch, but at the same time, he felt a little fearful about it. After all, Shocker was much, much smaller than Hiro, and surely her little structure couldn't handle such a blow.
"Lieutenant, allow me," came the kindly voice of Mr. Reid, the gentleman who acted as an underling in Surge's gym. "If Miss Kasiya will allow it, I will see to it that Hiro gets to the Pokemon Center immediately, and once you finish your match, then you could come and check in on him."
Surge smiled and nodded at the realization that it was a good idea. He looked to Kasiya, who also nodded, and recalled her ever-faithful friend back into his Pokeball, and handed it to the elderly man. "Please take care of him," she whispered, and Reid nodded, and quickly left the gym to fulfill his promise.
Surge and Electabuzz took their positions once more, and for a moment, Electabuzz nearly faltered on his feet. The painful burns covering his body were rather debilitating, but he refused to let it bring him down. He knew that the little Raichu had spunk, and it would be rude to not give it his all. Both trainer and Pokemon waited carefully, deciding to let the ladies have the first turn once the battle started up again.

Kasiya watched with a heavy heart as her long-time friend left the gym, and she sighed, stopping to rest her hand on Shocker's head before standing up and taking up her position opposite her father once more. She didn't see Electabuzz's stumble, but Shocker did, and the overconfident Raichu grinned, letting her long tail cut through the air in anticipation.
It looked as though it would be their move first, and Kasiya didn't rush to issue a command. She thought carefully for several moments, knowing that Shocker could not win this one relying on brute force, or her electrical prowess. They would have to be clever, and strategic if they wanted to come out on top of this, and the first command the young trainer would give reflected this thought. "Shocker, use Double Team," Kasiya said, trying to squeeze some authority into her voice. She had to be strong now; otherwise Shocker could wind up getting hurt badly as well. She sent out good, positive thoughts out to her Arcanine as she watched Shocker move gracefully about the floor before she seemed to split into five copies of herself, each moving in unison.

With both Drill Pokemon standing once more, it seemed as though they had resumed their staring match, both eying the other with ferocity, respect, and a strong desire to prove that they the stronger of the two. At once they both moved, each pivoting sharply on a foot as both of their powerful tails seemed to glow with a metallic, silver sheen. They'd each tried to use Iron Tail at the same time, and the end result was much like the effect of slamming two steel girders together. For one, the sound wasn't pretty, and two, the two Pokemon met in the middle, clawed hands clasped together as they struggled to gain the upper hand yet again. Nidoking let out an angry roar, and a red hue shone over his body - Focus Energy. This burst of adrenalin seemed to bee what he needed to show that female a thing or two, and with a grunt, he pushed forward, causing Nidoqueen to stagger back from his newfound strength. There wasn't much Nidoqueen could do at this point, but a quick glance towards Lisa, who nodded in return, gave her an idea. Nidoqueen batted her eyes at the male attacker, adopting a seductive look, as pink hearts seemed to drift from nowhere, surrounding them both. At first, Nidoking was confused, more or less because upon gazing at the Nidoqueen, his rage had started to subside. Very slowly Nidoqueen was able to free her arms from his, and as the infatuation started to take effect, she grinned devilishly and slugged him across the jaw.

Keegan watched the battle unfold, making no comments or remarks whatsoever. It was fairly obvious that Surge's two Pokemon were incredibly powerful, but it occurred to the redhead that most gym leaders probably had several Pokemon that were far too strong to use in regulation gym matches. He knew for a fact that Flannery, leader of the gym in Lavaridge, had a powerful team of six she would bring with her when she needed to escape the gym, two of which he remembered being bred specially for her in the facility his parents owned. He saw the devastation in Kasiya's face when Hiro fell, but he remained in his seat; now wasn't the time for consoling the girl he loved. If he did or said anything, it may very well have caused her to break, and lose her focus on the rest of the match. As the gentleman offered to take the injured Arcanine to the Pokemon Center, Keegan clasped his hands together, deep in thought over what he would do once their business in Vermilion was finished. Should he head home? Surely he stood a chance at defeating Flannery, especially now that Althena had grown so strong. Tierra, although stubborn and unwilling to battle for the most part, would provide another advantage, and he smiled to himself at the thought of Flannery scolding him for branching away from the fire types he so dearly loved.

After about another twenty minutes of riding and stopping, Kilik came to a halt outside the entrance to Mount Moon. He hopped off his bike and leaned against the cold rock for a moment, catching his breath. "Good...not much further now..." he laughed a bit, running his fingers through his hair, "Ah, who am I kidding?" A heavy sigh escaped the trainer. He slapped his forehead, then wiped a bit of sweat off of his brow. Clipping Elekid's Pokeball from his belt, he lifted it up to block the sun from his eyes. "You'll evolve into one powerful Electabuzz," Kilik smiled brightly, "And then we'll show everyone just what you can do." He heard a loud collection of footsteps from behind him, coming from inside the cave. Clutching Elekid's Pokeball, he held it close to his chest. He dashed off, hiding beside the cave, looking around the corner to see who it was.
Two men, dressed in black, emerged from the cave's entrance. They were talking quietly about gathering something for Giovanni. The taller of the two men paused. "Hey, check it out," he said, crouching down, "Free Bike. Let's take it." His voice was deep and he had a very strong Brooklyn accent.
"Look, man, we can't waste time like that. We're going to the Diglett Cave for that Relic, remember?" This man was short, but had very long arms. He had a somewhat nasally voice that was befitting of his large nose.
Relic...? Kilik raised an eyebrow. Then it hit him. A long time ago, Giovanni had mentioned three relics. Mai did, too. Coming out from behind the rock, he whistled loudly. "You two are behind the times. Mai already collected that Relic." The two men nearly stumbled at the sight of him, backing away from his bike.
"Who are you?!" the short one asked, pointing at him. The taller one nudged him.
"That's Kilik, remember?" he gulped, "He's deh one who done beat Dramon!"
He tilted his head then raised an eyebrow. "No way! This kid couldn't have! He's not scary at all!"
"You've got a point, I didn't," he explained, "I didn't win alone. Bugsy helped me. Now, I think you two better head back on home to the Viridian Base, hm?" He crouched down to gather up his bike when he heard two clicks. Lifting his head, both Grunts were clutching Pokeballs in their hands. "...You're kidding, right?"
"W-We'll show you!" the short one squeaked, "W-we respect Dramon s-so much..."
"That w-we'll take you down for him!" finished the large one, "Are you ready, Uno?"
"If you are, Trois!" Together, they tossed their Pokeball into the air, both bursting open at the same time. From Uno's ball came a pink creature with a very long tongue - a Lickitung. From Trois' ball revealed a very large bull with their whipping tails - a Tauros.
Kilik shook his head, standing up and collecting two from his belt: a Great Ball and a Park Ball. "This is going to be cake," he whispered, tossing both. As the Park Ball opened, a shower of sparks and glimmers heralded the coming of his green Scizor. She stood proudly, brandishing her weapons. A battle was just what she was hoping for. The Great Ball opened as well, releasing a very angry looking Lairon. Its eyes were dead set on the Lickitung before him. Smashing his foot into the ground, the iron Pokemon let out a mighty roar. Let's just hope that I can control him enough this time... he thought with a gulp.

Whitney smirked, not bothering to answer him immediately. "You'll find out in due time." With a quick crack of her knuckles, she sized up her opponents-- a tiny rock-dragon wannabe, and an overgrown red spider. Tch, she thought, he needs more Pokemon to like, pose a challenge to School Kids! A short pause. I shouldn't judge them. Maybe they're strong.
Her attention was then shifted to her own Pokemon. "All right, Miltank! Let's get this party started-- use a full-force Stomp attack on Ariados! Crush that bug under your feet! Castform, it's time to use Rain Dance!"
With a "moo!" as her affirmation of Whitney's command, Miltank shot forward toward Ariados, her left foot glowing a bright white, ready to stomp onto her opponent. Castform, however, held his position. Upon closing his eyes, a raincloud formed at the very top of the inside of the building, just barely grazing the ceiling. It was a black cloud, and caused rain to cascade downwards onto the field. The damage that Water-type moves would cause was increased, but this was not the only change in the battle situation.
As the water graced Castform's body, his form changed-- his head was envelopped in a giant raindrop, while his lower body was altered as well. He appeared ready to fight.
Crenu, I'm sorry for all of these delays in my posting. ;-;

Surge watched idly as the Raichu performed her move, glancing down at Electabuzz as the five mice now moved in front of them. "That childish game worked first time around, but you're playing in the big league now," Surge laughed, beckoning towards Electabuzz, who stepped forward. "Show them how we deal with evasiveness," he told his partner, who smashed his fists together, causing a shower of bright, shining star-like rays to shoot off towards Shocker's many clones, each star homing in on the real Raichu with amazing accuracy. Electabuzz groaned slightly from the burn he was suffering, but he was far from done yet.
Shocker's confident smile faded as the Swift attack eradicated each of her copies, and slammed into her in rapid succession. She looked startled, and cast a semi-frightened glance back towards her trainer. "Shake it off," Kasiya told the Raichu in reply. "We've got a comrade to avenge, right?" Shocker nodded quickly, and rubbed her chest, where she'd taken the majority of the stars from the Swift. "We've got other tricks up our sleeves! Attract!"
Shocker then struck an alluring pose, blowing a kiss towards her large opponent. A swirly mass of pink and red hearts circled her head and traveled towards Electabuzz, encircling him in much the same manner. This has been the tactic Kasiya had used against her father during their first match, and she could only hope that it would work again.

After a bit of trouble folding up her bike, Miharu walked back south, having had enough biking for one day, hopefully to begin her search for a Mareep. First and foremost, however, she stopped near the outskirts of town, and released Aska from her Pokeball. The Pidgeotto let out a happy cry as she flew up into the air, clearly enjoying the newfound freedom her wings granted her. After a few celebratory loops and spirals, she came to a graceful landing on a rock. "This is for you," Miharu told the Pokemon proudly. "It's called Aerial Ace, and it's a very reliable move. You'll find it useful against opponents who like to dodge and evade." She giggled a bit as she placed the disc on the Pokemon's forehead, and Aska's mind became flooded with the knowledge of dive-bombing her opponents as well as being able to land a blow even in the trickiest of situations. It was perfect for a careful hunter such as herself. She chirped happily, lightly nipping at Miharu's fingertips as the useless disc crumbled to sand. "Now I've got a job for you, my finely feathered friend," Miharu grinned, holding up her PokeDex, which had been left on the entry for the cute little electric sheep. "This is a Mareep, and they're supposed to be native to this area. I'll scout low, and you keep an eye out from above, and I'm sure we'll come across one sooner or later." Aska gave an affirmative nod, and happily stretched out her wings as she soared up, using her keen vision to watch the area below her. The Pidgeotto also decided to keep a close eye on her trainer, just in case.

The Oddish struggled to regain it's feet, and had a much tougher time, seeing as how it had no arms or hands. Ratata hopped back upright much quicker. "Ratata, Bite!" Train said, again feeling bad, for not letting the Oddish get to it's feet. Ratata glanced at Train, then charged at the Oddish.
Just as Ratata was sinking it's big front teeth into the Oddish a bit, Train saw a small flash of green. Oddish had ued Absorb to sap some of Ratata's health for itself, thus keeping it from fainting. "Odd-ish!" It said angrily. Train unclipped and empty pokeball and tossed it at the small grass pokemon, which dissapeared inside.
Train watched the ball wiggle on the ground. She hoped it would stop, and click, letting her keep the pokemon.

Kurine watched the Sentret. The Sentret payed her little attention. It suddenly lurched forward, towards Cyndaquil. The wild pokemon swiped at Cyndaquil, getting a strong hit in. Cyndaquil stumbled back, then fell over. He weakly rose to his feet.
"Oh. no! Cyndaquil!" Kurine cried. She took out an empty pokeball, half-throwing it at the wild Sentret. The little pokemon dissapeared inside. While the pokeball moved back and forth on the ground, Kurine returned Cyndaquil, not wanting the pokemon to get hurt anymore.

Mag took a quick mental poll of the population of Mag and then decided that he could take the two on. They just seemed like over-confident miscreants. "Okay I guess I'll take you on! Too bad my friend hasn't showed up yet, we could have given you a real show, but I guess I'll just take that honor for myself!" Mag said as they walked for a third time over to the arena. Just as the group was about to fight a loud speaker sounded.
"ATTENTION ALL PASSENGERS! We have arrived at One Island. We will be docked for about 2 minutes before we take off for Two Island. If you are going to leave please make your exit quickly. That is all." the voice over the speaker said.
"Well let's make this quick. We've gotta be getting off the boat soon." Carley said as she released a devious looking Torkoal. "And now it's my turn!" Biff stated forcefully as he released his pokemon, a savage and quite smelly Grimer. Mag glanced at his opponents and then decided upon who he would be using. In a double battle like this the only team that made sense was Sunfire and since she was on a training stent, Shining. "Hit 'em hard with your Shadow Punch Grimer!" Biff shouted already starting the battle. "You go on with a Smokescreen Torkoal!" Carley added.
"Watch out Sunfire! Ember on Grimer when you get the chance." Mag ordered knowing that since Shadow Punch was ghost type, the attack was meant for him. "Quick Attack Torkoal Shining!" The first to move, strangely enough, was Torkoal who had already been shooting off steam. The steam turned into smoke that evenly dispersed over their half of the battlefield. Shining was the next to move and was off like a rocket into the smoke. A path of clearer air was left behind her but she missed Torkoal by a few inches. Grimer moved in shooting off a section of it's hand with a black aura around it. Sunfire braced himself as the attack collided squarely with his torso. But he was ready and blasted a small fireball at his attacker as his leftovers restored some of the lost energy.

Train watched as the ball clicked. She didn't walk over to pick it up right away. She paused, then pumped her fist in the air, grinning broadly. "Yes!!" She exclaimed. "I caught it! I caught it!" She practically yelled. "All I have to do is train it a bit, and then Brock should be no problem! Yes!" She said. Pikachu and Ratata exchanged glances. "Ratata, you did great! Now, return." Train said, returning the mouse-pokemon back to his pokeball.
At this point, she walked over and picked up Oddish's pokeball. She decided to go heal her pokemon before training anymore, and walked down the path to Pewter. She was already close, so it didn't take long.

Surge frowned as his Pokemon was overcome with infatuation, remembering well the dopey smile Raichu had plastered to his face the day he'd lost to a runty little Pikachu. "Snap out of it, Electabuzz!" Surge bellowed, his voice nearly shaking the walls and ceiling of the gym. "Rolling Kick! Do it!" Electabuzz stared ahead of him, watching the Raichu before him. He heard the order to attack her, but something was stopping him. He grit his teeth, knowing this was a battle and he was supposed to attack her, but at the same time, he didn't want to hurt the cute little mouse. Instead, he let a small charge of electricity build up in his antennae and let it fly towards Shocker - an incredibly weak Thundershock. Surge slapped his forehead with his palm. He did not want to lose like that again!
Shocker closed her eyes as the electricity struck her, but being of the Electric-type herself, it didn't do more than just sting a little. Kasiya grinned as her partner shrugged off the attack, ready to bring the Electabuzz down. "All right Shocker, we got him now!" the girl said confidently. "Take him down with a Brick Break!"
There was one thing that both trainer and Pokemon hadn't been expecting. Even though Electabuzz's Thundershock had been weaker than that of a Thundershock delivered by a low-level Electric-type, it was enough to cause the Raichu to feel a tingle run down her spine, and her joints began to stiffen as she moved forward to attack. The sudden loss of her movement caused her to fall face-first to the floor, her body consumed by paralysis.

Meanwhile...
Linalee through all her struggling had only managed to wiggle herself in a small circle several times. The ropes held fast and she was still stuck, bound and gagged, in the chair that Biff and Carley had tied her to. Now a miffed at the whole situation she managed to hop her chair over towards the door. If she slammed into it enough maybe a custodian would hear and get her out of there.
She braced herself for the impact and managed to smack into the door. But since she could really only move vertically and not horizontally, the noise was quite minimal. She kept up the act but it was to no avail. She tried an extremely large hop and found that though she wasn't making noise she had managed to move the tray with her pokeballs move ever so slightly. A new beacon of hope shot into her mind.

Mag was ready to lead the next round. "Shining use Quick Attack again but make sure to aim well!" Mag ordered since she had missed last time. "Sunfire keep up your offensive on Grimer and knock it back with Shadow Ball." The pokemon nodded in to let their trainer know they heard him and then were off. Biff and Carley were not ready to give in however and gave orders to each of their pokemon to use Smokescreen once more and a Sludge Attack.
Sunfire shot off his Shadow Ball into the smoke but missed Grimer by a few inches like Shining had before him with her attempt on Torkoal. But Shining was able to land a solid hit on Torkoal as it spewed out more black smoke increasing the darkness that they were all in. Grimer was able to shoot of his Sludge attack, much in the same manner as his previous Shadow Punch minus the dark glow, but he also missed since Sunfire had jumped into the Smokescreen to use for his advantage as well. "Good thinking Sun, try Shadow Ball again but this time hit Torkoal! Shining try out your Helping Hand." Mag commanded. The two pokemon were close to each other and got into offensive stance.
Sunfire began to form the Shadow Ball as Shining concentrated making several golden orbs appear around her. She injected these orbs directly into the Shadow Ball just as Sunfire sent it speeding away. It began to grow in size and clipped Torkoal. The Turtle was then sent for a loop as the rest of the attack's energy expanded in mid-air knocking it sideways. Grimer was quite peeved at his opponents and launched another Shadow Punch. "Play interference!" Mag ordered at Shining. She got the message and quickly jumped into the attack. The power melded away harmlessly.
"This kid is pretty good." Carley whispered at Biff. "Yeah and his pokemon are pretty well trained... he'll be an excellent target." Biff responded. "Nice try bub but we've got our own team combos too you know!" Biff taunted. "Try your hand at our Fire Spin Gas!" Carley exclaimed. Torkoal moved over to its partner Grimer who was letting out a large amount of purple gas. Torkoal then managed to launch off a Fire Spin that enveloped the gass dragging it along with the flames and fueling them to a larger size while imparting poisonous toxins into the very essence of the fire.
"Well that would have worked but we've got a better team game. You've still got a ways to go." Mag stated as Sunfire erected a large green dome of protection about the two. All the force of their Fire Spin Gas was easily absorbed and no damage was delt to either of Sunfire or Shining.
