for whom? caracters with base bs4 or more are better off with multitracker, but can get it hardwired. Ordinary battlesuits are better off with targetting array, coupled with twin-linked weapons makes for exceptionaly accurate firepower. Of course 2 weapons give you more overall firepower, but I like the reliability of re-rolled 3+...

Broadsides, I like the possibility of of hitting both with the rail gun and the smart missile system, thing is I would be wasting th missiles primarily on tanks.

For Broadsides, Targeting Array is generally better than a Multi-tracker. Better to have the all-round bonus to hit, since it's fairly rare that you'll have a target that you'll want to fire both Smart Missiles AND your Railgun at. Plus while you are firing more shots with the Multi-tracker, more are hitting with the Array.
My Broadsides take a different loadout than yours though. Three of them, all with Advanced Stabilization, Team Leader also has a Drone Controller and two Shield Drones. Having two extra T4 2+ save models is great, and if the unit is in hard cover, then they all get 4+ saves. Alot of opponents will never even fire at the Broadsides, assuming they won't be able to kill them no matter what.

Thing is, I don't have the room to get shield drones. Is there some type of rule that allows broadsides to shoot over a line of firewarriors?

Sanity, people have asked you this before, but I have to ask you again: Do you have a rulebook yet? Because the shooting rules are clearly explained therein, and this question is not one that should come up if you have a rulebook. EDIT: Nevermind, I can see you don't have one just by looking back a page. no models block LOS unless they're vehicles, Monstrous Creatures or in close combat.

[Sanity_is_for_the_Weak] Thing is, I was told by my rulebook toting cousin that firewarriors cannot shoot over/through firewarriors. Then either your cousin has an outdated rulebook, a fundamental lack of understanding of the rules, or he was screwing with you so he could win. Pick up your own copy ASAP, so he can't do that to you.

tis a shame when people use this stuff to their advantage.... another issue with multi tracker and targeting array comes into play
tau vehicals and tanks 3nodding
hammerhead with multi, it's already free targeting array and a target lock... a hammer head with a railgun and burst cannons in this setup is deadly... can dish out a pie plate on one squad in the back lines and use target lock to fire accurate burstcannon on a closer target... can kill quite a lot
as for suits.. i tend to go for multi trackers as i use 2 weapon systems 3nodding , targeting arrays go well with stealth teams 3nodding they use it better as they have a lot of shots and often operate ahead of the lines and they need that fire power to keep alive. I usually have a marker drone with the shas'vre which gives them the chance for 2+ to hit or depending on what I am facing allow them a seekermissile for an attack on a tank 3nodding .. gotta love seekers.. no line of sight and hit on 2 plus..... with stealth suits who operate ahead of the line the marker with them can really allow easy and early seeker launches on vehicals 3nodding
