Surge laughed to himself, the double explosions were apparently very funny to him. "Ahh," he wiped a tear from his eye. "If I weren't so dedicated to electric types, I'd go out and get myself a Weezing," he said, watching the Flareon dart onto the battlefield. It also seemed his moods were capable of flipping around rapidly, just like his daughter.
"Let's go Raichu!" Surge bellowed, his face becoming serious again. He threw the Pokeball forcefull, it landed, revealling his trademark Pokemon.
"Raiai!" he called, rubbing his paws together and lashing his long tail in the air, static rolling arcoss its rather small body.
"Alright pal, let's start things off with a Mega Kick!"
"Raichuuu!" cried the mouse, jumping forward, it's foot aimed at Flareon.

Keegan rode through the city limits, passing over a bridge that stretched out over a small pond. Some fisherman had their lines in the water, and were waiting patiently. "I could never do that," he said to Helios, who gave a sort of laugh in reply. They soon came upon the entrance to the Petalburg Woods. "We're here," he said, and Helios nodded. "Let's try to hurry. I wouldn't want to get lost in there," he said, pushing forward and entering.
Almost instantly, the air cooled off, and a blanket of shade engulfed them. The forest was cool and damp smelling, yet refreshing at the same time. "I bet this place is crawling with bugs," the boy shuddered. "I really can't stand those things...!" His statement was cut short as a Wurmple descended from a string just in front of him, bouncing off his face and spinning around. "SWEET MOTHER OF - !!" Keegan screamed as he lost control of his bike, driving it right into a tree. Dozens of Wurmple, Cascoon and Silcoon were knocked from their perches, landing on his head, in his lap, and on his shoulders.
From about a mile away, all that could be heard was a horrible, terrified scream.

"Flareon! Dodge it!" The fire-type dashed to the side, contact happening on his tail. He spun out, jumping into the air and landing to regain his balance. That Mega Kick must have been powerful if it could spin out Flareon...Better not let that hit again. "All right! Let's use Fire Spin!" he called out. Flareon jumped up and spat out a stream of fire, an attempt to create a spinning pillar of fire around Raichu.

Mai nodded to the two Rockets standing guard outside Kasiya's ward. "Some privacy, gentlemen," she said, dismissing them with a wave of her hand. After the two had gone from sight, she entered the room, slamming the door shut behind her.
The sound jolted Kasiya awake, and she looked around sleepily, her vision slightly blurred. "What's going on..." she said, in more of a statement than an actual question.
"How are you feeling?" Mai asked, walking over to the bed where the girl lay. "You took quite a fall." She couldn't help but grin, although she did feel a bit bad about the attack.
"Everything...hurts," Kasiya moaned, closing her eyes again. "I fell..?" She tried to remember, but couldn't quite think of the details. She remembered the Sandshrew evolving and slashing their way out, and she remembered capturing it. She also could recall Mai cornering her at the office, and she sent out her Espeon... "You attacked me?" Kasiya gasped, trying to sit up. The bindings prevented her from doing so. "How is that fair? You can't go around attacking people!" she attempted to yell, her voice slightly louder than a whisper.
"We're Team Rocket, sweetheart," Mai said sarcastically. "Since when do we fight fairly?" The knowledge of Kasiya's parentage creeped into her mind again. "So you must feel all big and important just because you're a gym leader's kid, don't you?"

"Weak," Surge shook his head in dismay at the Fire Spin. It engulfed Raichu, who let out annoyed cries as its fur was slightly singed in places. "Let's dampen their spirits, Raichu! Rain Dance!" The leader's face was etched in a grin as Raichu did a backwards somersault, stepping back and forth as a shower of rain started to fall from the ceiling. Surge gave a laugh and held out his arms, the rain soaking his clothes and plastering his hair to his forehead.

"WHAT?!" Kilik barked. He looked over at his Flareon as the rain started to fall. His hair fell down and stuck to his forehead. His coat became so wet that it felt as if it was part of his skin. The boy growled. I can't use Fire-attacks in the rain! he thought. Kilik looked at Surge. "A cheap trick," he growled, "All right then. Flareon! Quick Attack!"

"That's great, your orders will be up shortly," the server nodded, heading towards the kitchen.
"Good service," Jaeshan noted. "Let's hope our meals are as good." As he finished his sentance, one of his Pokeballs wriggled slightly, and Bagon materialized on the seat next to him. The little dragon opened her mouth and yawned, showing off dozens of needlelike teeth.
"Maybe we should have ordered some for our Pokemon," the boy said, laughing at his perfect hindsight.

"A trick I learned from my own daughter," Surge barked back. "A large repetoire of moves can sway the battle in your favor." His gaze shifted from Kilik to his Pokemon. "Mega Punch!" he bellowed, as Raichu was rammed by the Flareon's Quick Attack. Raichu drew back its paw, drawn into a tight fist as he smashed it forward.

I knew that... He looked at his Flareon and the immediate danger it was in. "Use Ember on Raichu's hand!" At the range he was at, the fire didn't need to travel far. However, Flareon was punched square in the jaw and sent rocketing across the field into the opposite wall. It fell onto the ground and started to stand back up. "Flareon!" he called out. The Pokemon looked to its trainer and then collapsed. Shoot! he thought, holding up Flareon's Pokeball and calling it back. He looked over at Lt. Surge and then held up Poppite's ball.
"Let's finish this! Come on out, Poppite!" He threw the Rocket Ball up into the air. It emerged from the light disassembled. Its body and head rested on the ground, while its hands hovered over it and its feet walked circles around the body.

"Helios! Ember! Quickly!" Keegan wailed, scrambling to his feet, the bugs falling in all directions. The Vulpix stepped up, still slightly shaken from the crash, and breathed hot embers towards the bugs. Soon they scattered, leaving Helios and his trainer alone.
"That was close..." Keegan sighed, sitting down. Helios padded over and sat in front of his trainer, his right ear twitching slightly. The Vulpix wore an amused grin. "So I'm afraid of bugs! Big freakin' deal!" he shouted, folding his arms. "It's a common phobia!" He stood up and checked his bike. The front wheel was damaged and also flat, a large sharp stick was poking out from it. "This is just peachy," he sighed, folding up the bike and stowing it. "Looks like we're hoofin' it until we can get to a bicycle repair shop." Helios looked sad. Riding in that basket was his favourite thing in the world.
"Well, we'd better get a move on," Keegan said, and continued forward, a rather hesitant Vulpix behind him.

"How did you know that?" Kasiya grumbled, squinting at Mai through one eye. "I didn't even know for the longest time..." her voice trailed off, the thought of the long kept secret had obvioulsy left a deep wound.
"We have our ways of knowing these things," Mai smiled, patting the PokeNav in her pocket. "Little Kasiya, I could tell you things about your father that would make your pretty blonde hair curl." The look on the Rocket's face was pure evil.
"You're lying," Kasiya groaned. "My dad's a good man!" She struggled against her bindings, anger building up inside of her. "So shut up and don't lie to me! Let me out of here and give me my Pokemon!!"
"Tisk tisk, so demanding," Mai chuckled. ""Are these what you're after?" She held the tube of Pokeballs inches from the girl's face dauntingly. "Well, you probably will get them back, but not just yet. And you should consider yourself honored, Giovanni wishes to see you ." The admin stowed the tube again, and quickly freed the girl fom the table, helping her to sit up. Mai snapped her fingers, and a large grunt entered the room, lifting Kasiya up and setting her in a wheel chair, which Mai strapped her into. "Let's go," she said, and the large man pushed Kasiya along, while Mai lead the way. "We're on our way, sir," Mai said into her phone, turning to look at Kasiya as they walked. "Won't be long now."

"Very well, Mai." Giovanni sat into his chair and locked his fingers together as he had done before. That little girl needs a strict talking to. He clicked his tongue three times.

What? Surge took a step back. Now how did you get a hold of one of those? Surge thought darkly, but decided to feign ignorance. "What in the nine hells is that?" he asked, blinking. Raichu, not having to fake anything, looked rather off-put by the odd Pokemon. "Ah, it doesn't matter. Go Raichu, Thunder!" the leader bellowed, sheilding his eyes from the rain.
Raichu took a few steps forward, letting the electricity build up within. It released the mighty attack, the move taking a slight toll on the electric mouse.

Kasiya sighed, and closed her eyes. This is it, she thought sadly. I'm gonna die today, aren't I? She opened her eyes, looking up at the large man who pushed the wheel chair. He said nothing, and fixed his eyes straight ahead. She glanced over at Mai, and the pocket that held her Pokemon. If only I were psychic like Nina or Sabrina...then they'd be sorry! She felt a lump form in her throat, and she swallowed it, shaking slightly. And what did she mean, tell me things about Dad? He said he was in the army, fought a war, and fell in love with Mom. What else could he have done? her thoughts swirled around as they arrived in front of the office.
Mai stepped forward and knocked. "You may go," she told the grunt softly, and he bowed, and left them alone.

Kilik laughed, tapping his head tauntingly. "Shocked? It's the only one of its kind. A gift from Giovanni." The boy pointed at Raichu. "Poppite! Teleport out of the way!" All five pieces of the Pokemon disappeared. When it re-emerged, the hands were floating around the yellow orbs by its chest and its legs were where they needed to be.
"Now! Faint Attack!"
