Tim got up and walked to Daren's room, opening the closet and wincing at the old blood on the floor, sighing and digging around for a marker before testing it on his arm, returning to the couch. "Because," he started to write on the bandages. He could have written something inspiration, something motivating, something to cheer him up. But Tim wrote what he was writing, finishing on that leg and writing on the other one. From the ankle to the thigh "Don't do this." and everywhere around it was a simple "No." The backs of his legs were free of drawings.

"This way if you take off your bandages I'll know. Let them heal, okay? Don't touch them. Please don't touch them." but he wouldn't make Daren promise, because everyone relapsed. "Do your best not to touch them." Tim doodled a small, badly drawn lion face on the free space on his left foot, than on his right a badly drawn seahorse. "There. They're watching you."

"Until they've all healed." Tim corrected, turning his hand and squeezing the man's hand. "You'll do a good job, I think. You always try your best." Scooting closer he placed a friendly kiss on Daren's head. "Anything else? Would you like me to stay or are you fine alone?"

"I'll cook you some meals for the next few days how does that sound?" Passing the kitchen the dishes weren't exactly in the best order, but when you organize dirty dishes it makes it seem like there are less.

But Tim wouldn't fall for it.

He stood up, "You don't need to talk to me, pretend I'm not here, okay? Go rest, I'll be as quiet as possible." he ran his fingers through the shaggy hair, mostly unintentionally, before going to the kitchen to clean it up and cook. What did Daren have to cook?

Tim took out the food, smiling s he heard Daren walk in. Yep, he got him off the couch and moving around. Distraction. That's what Daren needed. Distraction.

"What would you like to eat? You have stuff to make egg drop soup and orange chicken. That can probably last you two to three meals. What else," he mused.

So that's why his dishes were organized. Anna had been over recently. "Hm, Maybe some stir fry, since we have leftover meat right here. No lettuce though, maybe tomatoes? I'm sure I can invent something." he sighed, deciding to stick to one meal at a time and brought out the stuff for orange chicken and egg drop soup. "The roast can be our third meal, then. Do you want to help? Do you like spicy orange chicken?"

Daren had done this for him, so he could do this for Daren.

"You can mix the sauce for me if you'd like." Tim suggested, moving some of the ingredients over to Daren with a smile. "Add as much spice as you want, okay? You'll be eating this so make it to your taste. Maybe we'll give some to Apple if she's good."

"Everything makes her sick, it seems." and then it was silent, but, a comfortable silence in Tim's opinion. He was enjoying the other's company. Daren and him cooking, and sure the tables might have been turned but the outcome was still the one they hoped for. Sane, calm, nothing dangerous in their minds. The last thought was irrelevant, Tim knowing him and Daren would always think something dangerous.

"If you'd like. I'll only eat a little bit, though. This is for you first, remember that."
