Honestly, a newcomer is probably the most impartial judge one could ask for. By all means, let him also weigh in on them.

The Female of the Species Sorry the wait everyone. Our mysterious third judge stepped down before grading. He's since been sacked. And replaced. Edit: Vintrict beat me to it. Who is the third judge now?

While I would normally side with Dreams, releasing grades now could cause a problem. Some people might want a third judge opinion if they lose, in order to possibly get an a win.
*shrugs*

You really only need a third judge for fights where there's a 1-1 split. If two out of three judges think fighter A won, then fighter A wins no matter what the third judge says or does.
The reason you still see all three judges weigh in on fights where one fighter already has a 2/3 judges favoring them is for the sake of being thorough. But once you have two judges saying one fighter won versus the other, the third judge doesn't HAVE to weigh in at all, if you wanted to focus on expediency.
The third judge - whoever it is - tends to just be a tie breaker if there's as 1-1 split, or if the other two judges somehow graded the fight as a tie.

Xerowingz While I would normally side with Dreams, releasing grades now could cause a problem. It could be said the more judges the more opinions and thus more perspectives and better average grades, but you must balance that with time and efficiency of running an event like this. I think two judges should be enough for now at least and if any real issues arise handle them accordingly. Plus take into account we would need the third judge to read every fight, think it over, formulate a logical and solid opinion and all the while the stress of time is on his shoulders which could cause a bias or faulty review. Just one old man's thoughts, ignore if you could care less.

I DEMAND A FOURTH JUDGE NOA!!!" Basically in the end da rulez are da rulez >.> People will b***h regardless

Colonel Iyam A Heita King Bug It isn't greed, it's logistics. Businessmen tend to value efficiency and productivity, but greed is a personal problem. A businessman that maximizes his revenue isn't necessarily greedy. In any case, the point is that 60 dollar titles don't actually make very much money. Or rather, they don't make as much money. Riot is going to make more selling 5$ skins every 2 weeks with a lot less money invested in the product than some studio making a fully fleshed out game. The reason companies are trying to use that sales mechanic is because its extremely effective and always has been. They can net a lot more impulse buy sales by having many low price things for sale. Just like grabbing candy at a checkout aisle. That's why lots of studios are closing. BC just closed like 2-3 pretty big studios. Although you make a valid point on the mentality of the business, your overall logic is flawed. One, Micro-transactions on LoL due generate a lot more revenue then a one-time buy but they also need to. League of Legends has to be maintained which means they need a staff and they have to pay that staff, a lot of money. One time buys don't have that problem because the game doesn't necessarily change fundamentally, there is no upkeep. It's produced and paid for completely before it hits the shelves. All the companies are doing once the game is distributed is making a return on their initial investment. Which isn't hard to due, hence why prices drop significant after the first week or two of sales depending on the popularity of the franchise. Two, League of Legends is essentially free. You (the consumer choose) to buy all the bell and whistles and you only make that choice after you have already invested heavily into the game in terms of playing it. So when you buy a skin for a champion it's a lot more gratifying because; A) You played the game for more worth than the 5 bucks you are about to spend on it. B) You know you will continue to play the game for more than the 5 bucks you are about to spend on it. and last but not least... C) It's not mandatory for game play. I'm not arguing DLC shouldn't exist. It's how money grubbing companies like EA and Capcom are going about it that is the problem. The DLC they offer is information already hard-coded onto the disk that you already paid for. That's a bad scheme because it's no different from charging someone to use something that they already "own". People aren't stupid. They recognize when you do something underhanded like that and they're are not gonna stop to think of the business aspect of a strategy like that. They're gonna simply see it as you trying to rip them off (because you are ripping them off). That leads to bad publicity through word of mouth and anyone who has ever taken a marketing course knows that word of mouth is the single best form of advertisement. Your post would make a lot more sense if you were right. Unfortunately, you're very wrong. 60$ titles don't make enough money back to promote the industry in meaningful ways. This isn't me arguing with you because I feel like I have a better opinion, this is me just relaying the facts of the matter.
