Kir looked up at Mana. He felt horrible for telling Lydia what he did. But Mana was right. There was no other alternative. Lydia was about as much on this bed of needles as he was. He didn't want her to get hurt...And if anything happened and he couldn't save her...He didn't want to even think that.

"I'll stay..." Lydia said, very quietly. She didn't want for him to go but it wasn't really her choice.

Mana kneeled infront of Lydia. "Kir will be back as soon as he can. He has to make it safe for you and others like you first. " Mana said trying to be somewhat a help. "I'll stay with you so you wont be here by yourself, and maybe we can make some more stuff so you can show it to Kir when you get back"

Kir flinched. It broke his heart knowing that he was going to be leaving her behind. If everyone else went to the university then maybe they could come along too, but Kir was trying to be cautious. He put his hands in front of Lydia and opened them. Inside his cupped hands was a silver colored paper crane. It was made of magic, "If you ever want to talk to me...Just think to this okay? No matter what it is you want to talk about," He thought to her, presenting it for her to take.

Lydia looked at the crane and carefully took it from him. "Thank you..." she began, her voice still quiet. She hesitated before she added, almost inaudibly. "...Dad."

Kir looked surprised. Did she just call him 'Dad'? His expression relaxed again and tears formed in his eyes. He gave Lydia a hug, "My precious daughter..." He thought, not caring about the blood that was mixing with the developing tears in his left eye.

"That man over there needs my help. He needs help soon or he'll keep getting more sick. I think we'll be leaving soon, but I will try and be quick so I can come back soon," Kir thought, motioning towards Core.
