((In the background, "The Time We Had" plays softly.
This song fits so amazingly well here and makes me want to make an FEF video to it, showing everyone and their partings after Granny N was defeated and things returned to normal.))

((We need a FEF ending song, like the one Matthew suggested. Think we can stick one into the hack?))

Roy wearily sat against the wall in FEFGA's house, watching Ninian and Nils. He sighed in relief. Everyone was still alive (except for the morphs and Madriana. He wished a few of them could still be alive, but there was that thing about how morphs cannot live without their creator to give them quintessence...).
Nevertheless, he was glad it was all over. He wanted just a little peace now to sort out of his thoughts, because he had one final obstacle to deal with. Was he going to stay with his Mother and Uncle, or would he go with Lilina?

Tibarn couldn't bring himself to transform. He couldn't show up and face Janaff like that right now. He clutched Vaherian's journal to his chest as he soared down toward Fefga's house. He landed outside and folded his wings carefully (so as not to damage the black sniper's bow and quiver he had slung over his back), then took a long, deep breath and stepped inside. "Stefan? Janaff?"

He paused, then stepped further in. "Ayra?" His stomach grumbled; that rabbit hadn't helped much. Something told him to check the kitchen.

She heard his voice, but hadn't gotten up. Her leg had been broken again, and the bone set- properly, this time- to heal. So, she naturally wasn't feeling to happy, even though it had been healed and now worked again.

Besides, she knew who it was, anyway. To hear that inquisitive voice made her smile, but she wasn't going out of her way to move towards him. Instead, she pulled her plate towards her and let the pieces of fish jerky sit there, even though her stomach wanted more food.

Didn't want to talk to him with her mouth full.

"In here, Tibarn."

Her voice was just slightly teasing, and she waited for the hawk to show his face.

Tibarn smiled despite himself as he stepped into the kitchen. The smell of food was overwhelming for the Hawk, and he looked longingly at Ayra's plate for a moment before making his way to the pantry to scrounge for food. Once he had his arms full of jerky and bread and even a box of Rei's favorite sugary cereal, which Tibarn could only stomach when he was starving, he sat by Ayra and sighed, setting down Vaherianslyeri's journal and quiver on the table. "I see I wasn't the only one thinking about food when I got back in here. Sorry I'm so late, I had some... business to take care of."

Ayra followed his eyes- she wasn't blind, after all- and almost laughed when they'd fallen on her plate. Well, here she was expecting that gaze on some lost lover or something, and he'd done it to food! It made sense, but the idea still didn't cease to amuse her. When she saw him come back with that god-awful cereal that would make small children vomit from a sugar overload, the swordsman couldn't resist a smile.

"Definitely not." She put a small piece of jerky in her mouth for a bit, not caring that it took a bit of chewing, and looked over to the journal and quiver. It wasn't either of those that struck a chord, but the sight of the bow he'd had slung over his back. An eyebrow arched, and she looked at him sidelong.

"You've made that point crystal. Where'd you take her? I didn't see her after the fight." Unconsciously, her hand went to her shoulder, where the arrow had been until only a short while ago.

She still couldn't see what Tibarn saw in that woman.

Tibarn shook his head. "Out to Serenes Forest. I wanted to bury her somewhere... Where she could see Phoenicis." He sighed, shaking his head, then looked distastefully at Rei's Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs, and then pushed them away and grabbed at some jerky, stuffing it spitefully into his mouth.

"...Serenes? The forest of the herons?" She paused for a moment, her eyes narrowing for a split second. From what she'd heard, the two groups of laguz had always shared a kinship bond with one another- what would convince him to bury her somewhere around there? The inhuman creature wasn't even good enough for a funeral pyre, and he'd buried her in the forest most sacred to the Herons?

It made no sense.

"At least she went out well. Can't say as much for her turncoat behavior." Her smile turned bitter. "I knew she'd shoot me again. And she did- twice."

She heaved a sigh. He didn't look too pleased, either.

"...Well. At least this is all behind us. Right?"

He knew enough to steer away from the subject at this point, and silently ate until he was feeling a bit more refreshed. At last he replied, "I don't know if it will ever be behind us, Ayra... At least for you and for me... at least, I think it could change the course of... our lives forever." He looked down at his plate while he said it, then glanced upward at Ayra, meeting her eyes with his bright golden ones. If not for his bronzed skin and enormous wings, the Hawk King could almost be a morph himself, his eyes bright and golden, his hair jet black.

Well, he certainly didn't beat around the bush.

Had he not been so serious about it, his bluntness would have made her laugh out loud- but regardless, she did feel the same. However, she wasn't going to just bend to his words like a house of cards to a gale, and found herself smiling as she met those golden eyes.

The eyes of the hawk don't miss anything, she'd heard... but they didn't read minds.

"Hm... really, now? And here I thought being imprisoned and fighting together didn't change a damn thing between you and me." There came that smirk again.

"And to the end, you still played the hero, didn't you?"

Tibarn stared into Ayra's eyes for a long moment, then murmured, "Shut up," as he took her wrist and pulled her forward, leaning over the table and pressing his lips to hers. It was tentative at first, and he paused to simply breathe over her lips before he pressed into the kiss again and moved his other hand up to the back of her head, holding her there for about fifteen seconds before he finally broke the kiss and sat back, satisfied that his point was made.

...It was definitely not the reaction she'd expected. My, he was brazen.

When he'd taken her wrist in his hand, she was torn whether she was just going to go with it, or use his grip to pull him over the table. However, he proved just a bit too quick for her hesitating mind, and she felt his lips on hers. She froze for a split second at the hesitance of his movements- why, was the Hawk King shy?- before she moved to kiss him back.

But when his hand moved to the back of her head, she grinned ferally as she returned the kiss roughly. Oh, she wasn't going to let him get away with that.

She moved her hands around him, thanking all the gods and goddesses she knew that she got her leg healed, and moved one hand behind his head and the other around the back of his neck.

When he first tried to pull away, she held him for a few seconds more, and her fingers wrapped in his hair for a brief moment before finally letting him go. She fought for power, and for a brief moment, got him to back off.

She sat back down like a cat that got the canary.

Tibarn had no complaints about being held in that kiss, and he was pleased by her enthusiasm! The Hawk King sat back, facing Ayra, and a little smirk crossed his lips. "Once we're rested enough, I'll take you flying in Phoenicis, then." He seemed quite pleased as he yawned, raising his hand to cover his mouth. "Ooof... Need sleep, you could probably use some too. We'll go up to Vika's room, I'll take the couch..." He stood up, taking her hand and starting to bring her up.

Lyre stood in the doorway of the kitchen. She saw everything, and the most hurt look came across her face. She had come in hungry, but now she wasn't. Not at all.

"...You... you never... you just... played with me..."

She wished her sister were here. At least to tell her an I told you so, and pat her head.

Melethia came into the house and looked like death was going to aprroch her. But she was just a bit tired. She tossed her personal tome and staff to the side. She knew no one was going to be able to use it. Those were made just for her.

"A few too many spells casted." She mummbled as she went to the kitchen to make something for her.
