not the only one. but one of a very small number. and if you ever saw him you wouldn't live long enough to gather information. he isn't as mercyful as i am.

How about a meaningful battle? Something that wasn't so easy.

all right. this was a long time ago, when muskets were just being used as weapons. i was the leader of the most powerful and bloodthirsty army of bandits the world had ever seen. the government sent a request to me, to destroy three rival armies for them. in exchange i would gain all of their land and wealth, which was alot.
the plan was i would lead my men straght at their center and government troops would flank from both sides and behind to destroy them.
it was raining slightly, when we arrived. their army was about 1000 meters away and i couldn't see where it ended, i smiled and laughed at the joy of such an opportunity. and then i attacked.
we crashed into them with the force of a thousand cavalry hourses. i cut and cut and cut, until my face and chest and arms were completely red. after about thirty minutes, i realised something was wrong. where were the government troops? surely i have given them a large enough opening. so i fought my way to a longdead tree and climbed it. just in time to see the government troops charge... right into my men. i was so angry at their betrayal that what happened next is a blur. but when i regained my composure, the battle was over. and i stood alone, covered in blood, knee deep in a pile of dead enemy troops.
a fair ammount of my men survived, of course, they were the best. but i had lost almost 70% of my army. of my enemies, both government and rival, none remained.

wise? no. if i were wise i wouldn't be trying to kill everything i see. if i were wise i wouldn't have failed so many times if i were wise i wouldn't have died shortly after that battle. i am not wise. just old. and angry.

oh. right. i guess that would be an important thing to say... i wanted revenge on the man who had betrayed me, who had killed so meny of my men, in my rage i did not see that they were exhausted, and many were wounded. but they were just as angry, and so attacked.
however our attack had to go through a valley, and we were expected. almost a company of riflemen were formed up along the side walls, with more in front of us. if it wasn't for the heavy fog produced by the rain i would have died in the first volley. but but me and a few others were missed, and we run up and overtook their front-line troops before gthe second volley could arrive.
we smashed through the second and third lines with increasing speed. and on the fourth line were the commanders. the ones who betrayed us. me. i ran as fast as i could. blind to the line of riflemen in front of me. numb to their muskets. but just before my blade cut across the commander's throat i was thrown back. an enemy soldier stood before me. duel revolvers aimed at my heart and head eyes burning with hate.
i charged him and he fired, the round aimed for my head zipped by my temple. the other one hit my shoulder, but i wouldn't be stoped. i slashed down, but he blocked them with his left gun and shot me in the leg with the other. i spun. again he blocked. but i pushed harder and my blade went deep into his side. i head butted him and he stumbled backwards. i slashed downwards again. he blocked again. i pushed through again, but he stepped back and i only got his left eye where i should have got his whole head. what happened next isn't clear, but i think my wounded leg gave way and he unleashed a barrage of well placed shots that made me to my knees, my vision lost color. and i think he shot me in the head next. the last thing i remember before everything went black was the grey sky and light rain.

all right.
when i woke up i was still looking at the sky. but it was a different color, instead of grey it was a deep, dark red. and it felt like i was laying on a hundred sharp, tiny rocks. when i rolled over i realised that they were bones. hundreds of tiny broken bones.
i was still a little hazy but i didn't have to be concious to know the sounds i was hearing. the clang of steel against steel. the screams of men trying very hard to kill each other. there was a battle near-by, a big one.
when i stood up i saw how truely wrong i was. it was massive. millions upon millions of warriors in every direction, all fighting.
and my first thought was, "sword". i looked for it and found it partially buried under some bones. when i picked it up i heard some truely sinister laughter from directly behind me. when i turned around i saw three people. their leader was sneering at me and said 'another skull for the throne' i didn't hesitate i cleaved his head from his shoulders and quickly cut down his friends. but before i could move on to the larger battle a sharp agonizing pain burst through my chest. i'd been stabbed before. just reciently i had been shot as well but that in no way compared to what i felt at that instant. i was thrown to the side writhing in pain. then i heard that same laughter agian and looked into the face of the man i had just killed. he appeared unharmed. any questions i had were quickly answered when the hole in my chest closed itself.
the man laughed again and said 'welcome to hell'
for what i can only assume is an eternity i fought on those bone riddled fields. i soon got used to the pain and exelled in those fields. i couldn't be touched, i was untouchable. i fought and laughed and my rage burned with an intensity that it couldn't have achieved before.
then in one battle, while i was hacking down more warriors. many began to stop fighting and stand back. and then i saw him. a man in dark red armor, holding a glowing red sword, on top of a fearsome hourse. i attacked without hesitation, for all the massive armor he was remarkably fast. the fight was over quickly. his blade mede my flesh melt from it's bones, and he told me: 'you have been chosen'
it was a ritual. i was to be bonded with a demon that most matched my strongest trait. it was rage, of course.
the bonding was painful and dangerous the demon would try to obsorb my soul as i tried to obsorb him. good news is i won. and became a demon of war. and then i was sent back to earth, trapped within my most prised physical posession, my sword.
and there i waited until my reincarnated self found the sword.
