I think roleplaying through a tournament for the sole purpose of getting the gold is sort of self-defeating, because if you aren't making the roleplaying your main priority, it's really not going to be all that enjoyable, nor are you all that likely to win.
IC/OOC, the prize money is cool. It's a nice way to congratulate the characters and players who go through far enough, and serves to give some "weight" to the reward, it's 70k gold that a person can see their character being awarded. But it does bring in people who want nothing more than gold; people who just want to win and say screw trying to have fun or actually make something of it.
From an IC perspective, money as a motivation is great. OOC, some people just get greedy and it causes problems. Maybe a necessary problem to bring in all sorts of people for proper diversity in the roleplayers, and to be fair it really hasn't come up too much lately. I mean, the level of OOC competitiveness seems to have reduced drastically over the past year or two.
Or maybe I just keep avoiding it somehow.

No, we just all are becoming more mature, is all. Winning or losing means nothing anymore, as long as we get an enjoyable experience out of it.

I would do them exclusively for GTB III characters, but I'm too lazy. So I'll just do inked boxes of character faces instead, like in real fighting games.

I'm pretty sure he won't mind if I displayed both his and mine together as one epic collection. Our card styles have the same feel to them.
More cartoonish.

I'm particularly proud of Dzan and Seyumi's cards I made for them. Them and ShadowDragonX are the only ones to have two cards of their characters I think.

Just for a discussion, who is looking forward to the new DLC for Fallout 3 and even a bigger question who happy the PS3 is finally getting these DLC in which they were cheated on for months.

Also: Activision may be dropping support for the PS3 in a year or two if Sony doesn't get their s**t together.

I'm currently getting two oldish ones, Assassin Cross and Bioshock and it would be cool if anyone had any for or against reason to get or not get either.

I'd go with Prototype, if you don't have it. I played it some at my friend David's house, pretty fun.
