That's a fail there...
Look...I'm not contesting what you're saying. Never did. It's true; I was making that statement, and regarding exactly what you just explained, mostly hearsay and rumours; but that was just to prove a point that was far from that particular topic... You can spew all the facts about the church of satan, and things of the like you want; but that has nothing to do with what I was pointing out..
I'm talking about an analogy; Thus it isn't even further up to debate. There was no debate, the simple point being almost fictitious if not for pointing out something totally valid and true..
I'm saying the body is the only true church; because it alone houses the true spirit. Period. Sure I was being mysterious with word play at first, and analogous with the use of the word church, but there ya go you unimaginative douche-
If you try to say otherwise; I'd hate to say it; but you're wrong...Go ahead and regard factual churches and religions. Go ahead and put things in a literal senses that have no baring on actual spiritual enlightenment; That's not what I was, or am talking about; so the point in those epic towers was moot in the first place-
Good day sir...
-turns a snooty nose to the air, and stumbles off higher then a gas naded rat-} Wrong, you just misinterpreted my post. It happens often to people who try to be deep and faux-pas intellectual, and then fail completely.
I never once referenced the part of your post regarding the body being considered as temple for mind and soul, because
I wasn't talking about it. I never referenced it, nor did I refute or argue it. Desi mentioned something about a church, once desecrated, ought to be named something else. You brought up the Church of Satan, and I
referenced that, and then went on to explain that Christianity is the only religion that uses churches, i.e., Satanism doesn't.
That was the only part of your post I was expounding upon. I ignored your "analogy" and everything you posted about it because it was irrelevant to what I was saying. Yeah, I was being literal because I was referencing the
literal portions of the posts, which referenced what a church was; LITERALLY, like Desi did, and then in regards to how Satanism works, since you were referencing the Church of Satan like a theistic organization when it isn't, aka, you don't know what the ******** you're talking about. HURR HURR, guess who can't read? You can't, buddy.
Everyone else got the gist of it, you're the only person who's bringing up the s**t I never talked about. Maybe you didn't read my post closely enough, or actually stop and think about it? I wasn't referencing the idea that the body is a temple, or any of that. You seem to think otherwise, but that's just because you somehow managed to read my post wrong. Pretty much end of story. It just wasn't relevant to what I was saying, though I personally agree with it as a non-practicing, Deist Unitarian - I don't partake in organized religion, and do in fact believe the mind or body to be the best temple. Something a building - be it mosque, church, or synagogue - can never compare to.
See also: Not wrong, because I wasn't referencing that portion of your post. Even if I
did expound on that portion of your post and disagree with it, it would be impossible for me to be wrong, or right. No belief system can inherently be wrong or right, see:
Munchhausen's Trilemma. All belief systems are equally flawed and therefore potentially false.
You're absolutely ******** dense. Only a tool with an unwarranted sense of their own intellect tries to be "deep" or "intellectual" when the conversation he's taking part in isn't. It's what people do to try and show off that they're THUPER SMART and then it usually backfires on them and makes them look stupid, or makes them look like a pretentious p***k. Philosophical debates are for, guess what,
philosophical discussions. Injecting s**t about "enlightenment" or "spiritualism" into a discussion on the literal or mundane is just being pretentious.
I'm just glad you won't be in the tournament for much longer, at least not by any measure of how you handled your fight with Austin. Unless I actually get the horrible luck of having to actually roleplay with you, I'm going to break my usual stance and just put you on my ignore list for the sake of not dealing with this sort of inane s**t. I don't have the patience to have a battle of wits where I'm bludgeoning a cripple with a hammer, my metaphorical arm gets tired of swinging.
