Macks Slasher Having playing White a time and a half through, Isshu will fit very well within TTR. Story-wise, it's lush and full of possible plot.
For trainers that will start from Isshu (as there are bound to be some), I'd imagine they'd start with the PokeDex and a C-Gear. How the C-Gear would work within TTR would be something to iron out later, but I've got a few ideas.
Though you do receive an item near the beginning of the game that acts as a portable video phone. So it could also be that instead of the C-gear. Idunnolol. Except you are forgetting the fact that it is set 3 years in the future and it acts like it is to. Also the fact that it is so far away from the other regions, much farther away then even Sinnoh. Oh also the fact that while it does feel like a pokemon game it is also has a very different feeling then the other ones. Yes I have played the game to and so has Anya and a few other people I sent it out to. It seems from the general consensus of all the people I have talked to that it is a different sort of pokemon game that will actually be somewhat difficult to integrate into the ttr setting.

It seems from the general consensus of all the people I have talked to that it is a different sort of pokemon game that will actually be somewhat difficult to integrate into the ttr setting. The few years in the future thing would actually matter if TTR used the game's plots, which we don't. Instead, we offer our own take on the overall plot of the entire series while offering our own unique twists on it. For example, in TTR, Koga is still a Gym Leader, Cinnibar Island still stands, yet we still have Johto fully implemented even though Gen 2 takes place years after Gen 1. We take parts from the games and the anime that we like so we can offer the best experience possible, not the most accurate in terms of either of the source material, because that isn't our goal. If we followed either formula straight from the source, TTR would be extremely boring and we would have no room for expansion of ideas because we would be restricted to the game's minimalist narrative. While the gameplay in the 5th gen may be somewhat different compared to the older games (which is silly because almost every generation has a radically different feel to it), when it comes to TTR, this makes little to no difference. Isshu will simply offer players another area to explore and more Pokemon to catch and more Gyms to fight. Hell, we might not even use any of the plot from Gen 5, but I refuse to restrict a new area to the players just because the games have a few tweaks to the standard Pokemon formula.

Also, it's unknown how far into the future BW is set from HGSS/DPPT. But, as Mike said and I am only reiterating, time makes no difference here. And as for gameplay differences, I don't see how much different it is from DPPT. The only difference I've seen is TMs don't break and ho'boy, triple and rotation battles.
Having Isshu not in TTR would just be stupid. And I refuse (and I'm certain many other players as well) to wait until the advent of Gen 6 to start working with Gen 5 materials.

leaderpeine Ugh...this week blowed a**...is there a ranting thread xD!! I'm serious though, is there a ranting thread. Yes, but we just have to watch our language since the site and the guild are PG-13. Also, I wouldn't consider the OOC a vent-box either. A few frustrated comments here and there are fine, but it's not really the place for a full out rant that isn't TTR/Pokemon related, if even that.
As for Isshu, I think there are a fair amount of people who would want it incorporated into TTR. As it stands, however, I don't think there's enough TTR members who are well versed in B/W information. We can iron out all the wrinkles when the time comes, arguing about it now seems a bit pointless.

Yes, Mitsu is correct. We try to keep the drama out of TTR as best we can, though if you ever need someone to talk to, there are many good listeners here. :3
I also agree with Mitsu and Mike's Isshu statements. I think there's a lot of potential for the region, but as it has been already stated, collectively we don't know enough about it to be implementing it any time soon. I will say that I don't plan on adding the unbreakable TMs, seeing as we don't have restricted access to them here in TTR as we did in older generations of the games, though Isshu will have to have its own separate TM list.

I just took out the http//etc,etc part and put that between image tags.
I'm not that productive, still behind, but now that i'm into the juicy, zombie-killing part of my story, the words are pouring out like a fountain.
