Hartley Rathaway Well when you faced Creed you were still under my hypnosis, weren't you? If you don't feel anything, the Lanterns can't find you. I flaunted my feelings for Kate and other things before him to see if he'd attack me after that.. I've been thinking of asking you to hit me with that thing again... but I don't know how I'll deal with the needless killing again.

Maybe they're not attacking for different reasons...maybe they're just using different methods OF attack. In the end, the goal is still the same, right? Get someone to feel a rush of emotion, and then....rrrrip.
Black Lanterns just aren't as good as making people feel something as I am, so they're using different tactics to try to get the strongest reaction.

Snow, I don't know if we should do that. It turned Chastity into a walking murder machine. Part of the reason you have people agreeing to join your NHU is because of your empathy.
I only did it to Chastity because I panicked...It would be a really really bad thing if...well, I just don't want my heart ripped out!

It does seem like it's different ways of fighting. I'm still trying to fully understand the Black Lanterns. It probably has something to do with how they kill. Maybe Creed just gets more of a kick out of the mental battle than the physical battle with people.
Yeah Snow. Don't ask it. It's tempting for me just so I can go at him for a long period of time.... but I... *Swallows.* I killed beings I swore I wouldn't and well.... Your empathy is your best weapon when it's not used against you.

You don't have to BE musical for the music to affect you.
