You are now my new best friend. I did XC and Track in high school too. I pretty much founded winter running at my school despite the blizzardy conditions here in Michigan. Which reminds me I have a nice easy 4 miles to run today still... now that it isn't raining and 40 degrees out.
I do cross country for my school from june to october (I'm JV, so i don't run regular states and regionals if we make it). from november to december i'm on a Junior Olympics team, and my team should make Nationals due to the low amount of competition in my area in my division (we're probably going to be the only team on the line for the regional race). What's your best time on a 5k?? More questions for you. 1. battling NPCs (random trainers): how is my exp. and my money won calculated and when will it be added to my profile. 2. i kept on seeing this thing called TEAM. i'm guessing its a group of RP characters, but what are they exactly, and what does TEAM stand for??

I'm only a sophmore, and right now I'm running a 19:30 as my best. Though i missed 7 months of training from last november to may due to me pulling my hip flexor in early october and trying to be a hero and run with it the rest of the season. ended up being pulled out of JV states, though i ran a great freshman state time, though was screwed over getting a ribbon w/ my friend (it was t50 for ribbons and he's 51st place while i'm 52nd... stressed )

EXP and money are calculated by Aire. You don't have to worry about that.

TEAM was something I had created for my secondary character Mazarin to give him something to do when he wasn't playing with other characters. "Tactically Equipped Acute Mercenaries" is what it stands for. They're like a regional police force (something akin to what Looker does in the Pokemon games) and try to apprehend unruly trainers/criminals.
Their main goal is to topple Team Rocket. I'll eventually get a plot going with them, but first I have to really figure it out.

That happened to me so many times, really annoying when it does, that's for sure! I started out pretty slow (21:41 my freshman year) but by practicing I got a lot better. I was lucky then (and hopefully still am, knock on wood) that I didn't have any serious injuries during high school.
Suisse: You should start loving it! It's the healthiest exercise there is and requires only shoes (and/or some good running shorts if you don't want to chafe like a mad-man/woman).
Off topic: Scott Pilgrim vs the World was an excellent movie. Go watch it if you haven't and live in a box like I do.

I wish I could, but I am lazy and have no skill in running.
We had to run a mile for PE in under 11 minutes, and I never once passed. =P
