Camwen First day in about two weeks I haven't been playing nurse to my poor family members! Hubby's at work and the kids are back in school! I'm still the final hold out from the flu! I'm going to just sit here at the computer with my coffee and... *notices the huge pile of laundry... and the random pillows, tissues, blankets, and other misc. strewn across the house..and the fridge is empty* AH MAN! grumble grumble Aww...poor thing...*hugs* Keep your spirits up. At least the fam is slowly getting back to daily messings about. So you're doing a good job. *hugs tight*

Hello Everyone! (new guy posting whee ) My MiL is taking my daughter to see the stage performance of 'Shrek' today. I wanted to go but the tickets are pricey... The in-laws did take me with them and the kiddo to see 'The Nutcracker Suite' just before Christmas, tho, and that was beautiful. I guess I get to stay home and do chores today... Collecting firewood in the cold & wind, yay.

Hello Everyone! (new guy posting whee ) My MiL is taking my daughter to see the stage performance of 'Shrek' today. I wanted to go but the tickets are pricey... - Edgar Allen Poe Ooh that sounds like fun! I bet your daughter will love it. My mom wanted us to goto the Nutcracker but we waited too long and the only seats left were not worth the price. We already have tickets reserved though for Midsummer Nights Dream for the summer (playing in Ashland). @Sammirah -- you're back!!! ((((Hugs))))) tell us all the things!!!!

We're cold here also & the skies were gray most of the day - even some light snow. Wind chill 15°F below zero. Hope you managed to keep your spirits up!

It's crazy cold for me. I was born & lived most of my life in the subtropics. This northern latitude has some advantages, but I could do without the ice. The snow is a nuisance I can deal with, but I've fallen so many times on the ice it makes me dread winter. I need some shoes with spikes.

- Edgar Allen Poe Hehe...I live in sourthern Canada, Ontario to be exact. We get all four seasons, which is nice...lets you prepare for anything. Falling on your bottom is never good...but you'll get your winter footing *warm hug*, I'm sure of that. Or, yes of course you could put spikes on your feet...just make sure not to step on soft toes. xd

- Edgar Allen Poe gaia_nitemareleft I'm a winter person and for me 15F is a "tad chilly weather". (I'm from Finland so apologies for my winter "craziness") whee We have currently around 14F to 5F (-10C to -15C) and I think it's pretty nice with all the snow and sun and stuff. About the shoes, key thing is to get good winter boots with real rubber soles. Plastic freezes over and becomes super slippery. Especially if the sole is smooth and without any ridges. Before you find any good boots, do you have these spikey things you can "pull over" our shoe so it will prevent you from slipping? I don't know if there's an english term for it but something like this: Non-slip covers gaia_angelright
